PREVIEW: Football Club Suduroy v Undrid Fotboltsfelag

Suduroy_0-0_Undrid_pre01.png.4bd17e33f5f643e4a17b311e6e2a0e9c.png

Torshavn Sports: I think the least said about the dour 0-0 draw at Klaksvikar Itrottarfelag III last time out the better, wouldn't you say?

zzzz_Adventure_Stuniverse_icon.png.604f1028fe35e1dad7dd206bc9fafddb.pngzzzz_AnnikaVestergaard1.png.aa6153288f50e3a109d9f0766d7e04ad.png

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): Yeah [laughs]. It was one of those games where both teams cancelled each other out. I thought we defended very well, Klaksvikar Itrottarfelag III never looked like scoring but, unfortuately, neither did we. At least we didn't lose and it kept Klaksvikar Itrottarfelag III three points behind us.

Suduroy_0-0_Undrid_pre02.png.d2690d5286497e5cb27b9b0074fb56cf.png

Torshavn Sports: Next up a big game away at Football Club Suduroy who are 2nd, above you only on goal difference.

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): Yes, I'd agree it's a big game. If we're serious about mounting a promotion challenge we need to be looking to get something out of this game. A draw wouldn't be a bad result, but we'll be doing everything we can to try and win it. We've already played Suduroy twice this season and both games have been incredibly tight - we beat them 2-1 after extra-time in the Logmanssteypid and then drew 1-1 in 2. deild. Both of those games were home in the J & K Vollur so we're expecting a much tougher challenge today away at Vesturi a Eidnam.

Suduroy_0-0_Undrid_pre04.thumb.png.a467ca5eeaa77ec5340577b38d53c28c.png

Torshavn Sports: You've struggled for goals since signing Hordur Hentze Johansen and asking him to lead the line. Three matches and he hasn't scored yet. Is it time to try somebody else up top?

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): Hordur is struggling to settle in and get used to the way we want to play. He looks sharp in training, and I have every faith in him, but yes, Hordur does need to start scoring goals soon. Today against Suduroy would be a great time for him to open his account.

Going well, sir. The amateur status might change if you do well enough. I just had my board decide to turn us semi-pro.

It's an interesting situation that is almost a combination of amateur and semi-pro really. I can offer contracts now but players never seem to want wages. They just ask for appearance fees. It is allowing me to hold on to players without spending a fortune.

Interesting. I wonder what will happen here in the Faroe Islands?

Have a look through the clubs in your league. It might be that the Faroes is very amateur, but if there are any semi-pro teams in your league then you might get a change. I manage in the second tier of Luxembourg though.

Thanks, @anagain. In our division, the Third Tier, FC Suduroy are semi-professional and Royn, like us, are Amateur. Everybody else in 2. deild are reserve / second / third teams of clubs higher up the pyramid.

use.png.7fcce46e0a2fd8011a1527d64957b77b.png

In the next division up, Tier 2, FC Hoyvik are Amateur, everybody else is semi-professional (and there's quire a few  reserve / second / third teams  of top tier clubs).

use.png.d47308159ccaf9d739de31de90807465.png

In the Top Flight, Betri Deildin Menn, all ten football clubs are semi-professional.

use.png.83d57917edba6f28a35fd648236ecbda.png

Which means none of the Faroe Islands football clubs are professional - the majority are semi-professional with about three Amateur clubs, including Undrid Fotboltsfelag.

PREVIEW: Undrid Fotboltsfelag v Skala Itrottarfelag II

Undrid_0-0_Skala_pre01.png.dee98c0d3ecba59c15b9058e84442535.png

Torshavn Sports: Last time out you lost 2-0 to 2nd placed Football Club Suduroy in a big top-of-the-table clash.

zzzz_Adventure_Stuniverse_icon.png.34803ea494097f9a751f45c8f7522c7c.pngzzzz_AnnikaVestergaard1.png.687c83889f730f0a3850c08683f749db.png

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): Yes. It was one of those games where we were happy with our overall performance, but not the result. We more than matched them in the first-half, only for them to score a worldie of a goal just before half-time. I don't think any goalkeeper in the world saves that long-range shot from Velijko Vukovic. After the break, we're obviously chasing the game, and they picked us off for a second goal with 10 minutes remaining.

Undrid_0-0_Skala_pre02.png.e18bcd89a2d13a6fed47c398429a2c27.png

Torshavn Sports: It doesn't get any easier as you face top-of-the-league Skala Itrottarfelag II next.

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): At least we're at home at J & K Vollur this time, but Skala Itrottarfelag II are top-of-the-league for a reason and it's going to be a very difficult game for us, especially as we lost 2-1 at their stadium earlier in the season.

Torshavn Sports: You seem to be struggling for goals at the moment after firing blanks in your last two matches. How do you turn that around?

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): We keep working hard in training. We're still creating chances and we're confident the goals will come. Prior to the last two games, we scored seven goals in three games.

PREVIEW: Fotboltsdeild EB/Streymur II v Undrid Fotboltsfelag

EB_0-0_Undrid_pre01.png.362df8edf8020fa476e7dbeadb0e653a.png

Torshavn Sports: A 3-0 defeat to league leaders Skala Itrottarfelag II last weekend.

zzzz_Adventure_Stuniverse_icon.png.7141e6b921dd60240d1bc268c6b96cc9.pngzzzz_AnnikaVestergaard1.png.22574268173cbd46212dbacbe3456661.png

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): Yes. There's not much to say, really. We saw first-hand exactly how good Skala Itrottarfelag II are and they showed why they are top of the league. Over 90 minutes, I'll hold my hands up and admit they were better than us.

Torshavn Sports: Your Undrid team have exceeded expectations so far this season but you haven't won now for four matches - two draws and two defeats. Has your bubble finally burst?

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): I don't think so. I hope not. We've had a tough run of fixtures recently but we're confident of getting back to winning ways soon.

EB_0-0_Undrid_pre02.png.2c619fd08dd9d1b53e62575a0d156b72.png

Torshavn Sports: You're away to 9th placed Fotboltsdeild EB/Streymur II v Undrid Fotboltsfelag. Surely against a team in the relegation zone you can get a long overdue win.

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): We don't fear anybody in 2. deild and, on our day, we believe we're a match for anyone. Fotboltsdeild EB/Streymur II v Undrid Fotboltsfelag beat Football Club Suduroy 2-1 last weekend so they have to be respected. Earlier in the season, we drew 0-0 with them at our J & K Vollur stadium so we know it won't be an easy game.

PREVIEW: Boltfelagid Royn v Undrid Fotboltsfelag

Royn_0-0_Undrid_pre01.png.267ce6b9a876f55d2e9851543c643025.png

Torshavn Sports: You needed a late equaliser to salvage a point against Fotboltsdeild EB/Streymur II last weekend.

zzzz_Adventure_Stuniverse_icon.png.73510856e49697d3e785608afa87cb1d.pngzzzz_AnnikaVestergaard1.png.45440b3cf88eb2e8b89e456b79aba8f6.png

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): We did. We had to be patient but, in the end, Roi Hansen scored to earn us a point. Once again, it was a very tight game with very little between the two teams. It was disappointing to concede a goal just before half-time. In the second-half, we changed to 4-4-2 to throw an extra striker up front. Fortunately, it paid off for us with an improved second-half performance and the equalising goal.

Royn_0-0_Undrid_pre02.png.3db1bb1a4104ee5aeabbc067c6209c55.png

Torshavn Sports: That's now five matches without a win but, against bottom club Boltfelagid Royn, you have the perfect opportunity to get back to winning ways, don't you?

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): We got our best win of the season against Boltfelagid Royn when we won 4-0 but, this game, is in their back yard at a Shordunum. I'm sure Boltfelagid Royn will want to get a result in front of their own fans but we're confident of stopping them and getting a positive result.

Royn_0-0_Undrid_pre03.thumb.png.f65561b41144832ade4536a75e9fe8d9.png

Torshavn Sports: Johansen has played five matches since signing for Undrid Fotboltsfelag without scoring. That's not good for a striker. Is it time to drop him and try somebody else?

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): I'm confident in Hordur Hentze Johansen's ability. He's banging them in during training and I'm confident he'll score his first goal for us very soon.

PREVIEW: Undrid Fotboltsfelag v Tofta Itrottarfelag Boltfelagid 1968 II

Undrid_0-0_TBII_pre01.png.7c847154ae838de1d7b7929fbbbaa546.png

Torshavn Sports: A quite remarkable 5-0 victory over Boltfelagid Royn last time out.

zzzz_Adventure_Stuniverse_icon.png.07cb25376d57a434bda14ccb29f4e823.pngzzzz_AnnikaVestergaard1.png.323e7d451ae5028d52b6bbf50e2148f6.png

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): Yes, indeed. We were absolutely delighted. The first half was the usual tight, cagey affair we've come t expect in the 2. deild. Hordur Hentze Johansen gave us an early lead but we were unable to add to it. After the break, Hordur added a second and then went on to complete his hat-trick. Aron Sorensen scored a penalty and Louis Joensen completed the scoring.

Torshavn Sports: Just how good was Johansen?

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): The same Hordur Hentze Johansen you'd been telling me to drop?

Torshavn Sports: Yes. Well... asking if he should be dropped.

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): Hordur was magnificent. I was delighted for him. Thrilled the fans got to see in a competitive game the Hordur Hentze Johansen we've seen in training.

Undrid_0-0_TBII_pre02.png.b99ac318ffdfceeb17e349db4b0880ad.png

Torshavn Sports: You've added another striker to the squad this week with the addition of Dalsgaard. Is he likely to start?

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): Bjarni Arnason Dalsgaard will get his chance soon, but it would be harsh to leave out anyone after the superb display against Boltfelagid Royn.

Undrid_0-0_TBII_pre03.png.f83349d59b05659a6bff2838b160332f.png

Torshavn Sports: Another home game, this time against 8th placed Tofta Itrottarfelag Boltfelagid 1968 II. Another home win?

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): It would be nice to get a victory at J & K Vollur in front of our own supporters. We won 1-0 at vid Stora last time we played Tofta Itrottarfelag Boltfelagid 1968 II which gives us confidence in getting another good result at home.

DALSGAARD OUT FOR THE SEASON

Torshavn Sports: Undrid Fotboltsfelag's left-winger Lennert Dalsgaard will be out for 5-6 months after picking up a serious hip injury against Tofta Itrottarfelag Boltfelagid 1968 II, meaning he will definitely miss the remaining nine matches of the 2. deild season. At 33 years of age, some fans are even questioning whether we'll see Dalsgaard in an Undrid shirt again.

PREVIEW: Vikingur Gota III v Undrid Fotboltsfelag

Vikingur_0-0_Undrid_pre01.png.8b2d711617f1258191374a2ce90ba9af.png

Torshavn Sports: Last time, a very eventful 3-3 draw against Tofta Itrottarfelag Boltfelagid 1968 II, but should you have won that match?

zzzz_Adventure_Stuniverse_icon.png.410f98508f297ec68419af400c376b98.pngzzzz_AnnikaVestergaard1.png.0a8aa9a89da809c749cc4486e8ad67a7.png

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): Without wanting to be disrespectful to Tofta Itrottarfelag Boltfelagid 1968 II, yes I think we should've won it. We twice led in the game at 1-0 and 2-1 and, both times, we conceded a soft equaliser. Then they took a 3-2 lead through, I must admit, a sensational free-kick from Oli Johannesen. But my players kept going, kept doing the right things, and grabbed an equaliser for ourselves. We had chances to win it but couldn't convert them. We're disappointed, we scored three goals and, really, we should win from that position.

Torshavn Sports: You've changed to a 4-2-4 formation recently. Doesn't that leave you more open at the back?

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): Possibly. But we should still defend better than we did for Tofta Itrottarfelag Boltfelagid 1968 II's first two goals. We've been struggling for goals at times this season, as you now, and this 4-2-4 system allows us to play with two strikers and score more goals.

Vikingur_0-0_Undrid_pre03_injury.thumb.png.ede8f0fb23a3608a6ee56e9efd38fecd.png

Torshavn Sports: Any news on Dalsgaard's injury?

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): Yes, and it's not good news. Lennert has been to see a hip specialist and he'll be out for months. He definitely misses the rest of this season.

Vikingur_0-0_Undrid_pre02.png.aeb41fffc2c7d4e57a1491395718d4f4.png

Torshavn Sports: As you enter the final third of the 2. deild season, next up is a trip to play Vikingur Gota III. What are you expecting from this game?

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): Another difficult game. Vikingur Gota III are one place and one point above the relegation zone so they will be fighting for every point they can get over these last nine games. We won 2-1 against Vikingur Gota III at Sarpugerdi very early in the season and then they came to our place and won 1-0 at J & K Vollur. We're confident of getting a positive result, but we know from both encounters this season that Vikingur Gota III will provide competitive opposition and we need to respect them and be at our best to get anything out of the game.

FUTURE PLANS

zzzz_AnnikaVestergaard4.png.050a5e5c72945bdec1507522fb524af3.png

Annika Vestergaard: Your Faroese is coming on very nicely, Stuniverse. You won't be needing me for much longer.

zzzz_Adventure_Stuniverse5.png.bec83f1b25b4557d5b8e7e7a851858e3.png

use.png.8cb25dfa6e2cc4129b0dfcb10ddca6a7.png

Stuniverse: Thanks. Only because of your patience and your teaching skills, Annika.

Annika Vestergaard: Thank you. Oh, I was talking to Arnar [Lognberg - Chairman] today and he was telling me how pleased he is with the job you're doing as manager.

use.png.6eb2d7cd9b91da49adb342bcb1b04c8c.png

Stuniverse: Not pleased enough to fund a coaching badge for me though.

use.png.eba0d1fba850213f00d0f930e7a1faea.png

Annika Vestergaard: I know, but you have to remember Undrid Fotboltsfelag are an Amateur club, they only have 25 season ticket holders. They don't have money to throw around.

Stuniverse: It's just... frustrating.

Annika Vestergaard: I'm not sure I blame Arnar either.

Stuniverse: What's that supposed to mean?

Annika Vestergaard: Arnar has to safeguard the long-term future of the club. You've only been here five minutes and you'll be off where the grass is greener in the not too distant future.

Stuniverse: That's not fair.

Annika Vestergaard: Why would you employ an agent if you're planning on sticking around as manager of Undrid?

Stuniverse: I'm not employing him, as such. I don't have any money.

Annika Vestergaard: Maybe not, but he'll expect to be paid once you land a manager's job that comes with a salary, wont he? Why should Undrid invest in you only for you to move on to bigger and better things?

Stuniverse: I never said I was moving on...

*** Incoming video call ***

Annika Vestergaard (on camera): Hello. You'll be wanting Stuniverse, I'll just go and get him for you.

Annika Vestergaard (off camera): Talk of the devil, it's your agent.

Stuniverse (off camera): Annika, I'm not planning on going anywhere.

Annika Vestergaard (off camera): We can talk about this later, my shift's due to start at the restaurant.

Stuniverse (off camera): Annika...

Annika Vestergaard (off camera): Talk to your agent. Make plans. I'll see you later.

Stuniverse (on camera): Hi, Stan.

zzzz_StanleyBaryla1.png.2ba631c0d92671d168d00e01bfc49873.png

Stanley Baryla (on camera): Hello, Stuniverse. Is this a good time, everything ok?

Stuniverse: Yes, everything's fine. Annika's running late for her shift at the restaurant.

Stanley Baryla: I thought you were unlucky not to win against Tofta Itrottarfelag Boltfelagid 1968 II but you're continuing to defy pre-season predictions of a relegation fight. Good going.

Stuniverse: Thank you. We need to start holding onto leads and not conceding soft goals though.

Stanley Baryla: And conceding free-kicks on the edge of the penalty area.

Stuniverse: That too. Who would've thought we'd concede two world class goals from free-kicks in consecutive 2. deild games.

Stanley Baryla: So, with only eight matches of the season left, what are your plans?

Stuniverse: Work hard in training, win as many of those eight games as we can, finish as high as we can. Then prepare for next season.

Stanley Baryla: With Undrid?

Stuniverse: Yes. I expect so...

Stanley Baryla: Wouldn't you prefer to be paid for managing a football club, to be managing at a higher level?

Stuniverse: Of course, but...

Stanley Baryla: Well now's the time for us to start planning for that.

Stuniverse: Is it? Oh... Yes... I suppose it is.

use.thumb.png.abca288bff411d5e78d64c950650ac0f.png

Stanley Baryla: Owners and chairman are getting itchy trigger fingers. You're being talked about. Exceeding expectations with Undrid is getting you noticed. I can test the water to see if anybody is seriously considering you for a manager's job.

Stuniverse: I guess that couldn't hurt, but I promised the Chairman not to apply for any jobs.

use.thumb.png.befd476c9cf6d0dc3667e45e2ed14732.png

Stanley Baryla: You have 46 days left on that promise. I checked. It expires before the season ends.

Stuniverse: Oh, ok.

Stanley Baryla: So, shall I try and find you your next football club to manage?

Stuniverse: I'm not sure. I'm kind of enjoying my time at Undrid.

Stanley Baryla: Look, Stuniverse, can I be brutally honest with you?

Stuniverse: Of course.

Stanley Baryla: Managing Undrid is all very well and good, but it's an Amateur football club and an Amateur job. If that's what you want, or if that's what you want because of Annika, or for any other reason, then that's fine.

Stuniverse: It's not like that, Stan.

Stanley Baryla: It looks like that to me and, like I said, that's fine, if that's what you want. But it's no good to me. I don't get paid unless you get paid. I offered to help you get a foot on the ladder because I see great potential in you and I think you can go a long way in this game. But if Undrid is the extent of your ambition then I'm out. So what's it to be, Stuniverse? Do I help you get another job or do we part ways?

Stuniverse: When you put it like that, Stan. Find me another job.

Stanley Baryla: I can't promise anything, you understand. It may still be too early in your career and you'll need to manage another season with Undrid, but let's find out if anybody's prepared to take a punt on you, shall we?

Stuniverse: OK.

Stanley Baryla: OK, then. I'll be in contact when I have some news.

*** Video call ends ***

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): Not by design, I assure you, but yes we are drawing a lot of games just recently. Against Tofta Itrottarfelag Boltfelagid 1968 II I thought we were unlucky. We did pretty much everything right except get a second goal after we'd taken the lead. Overall, I thought we defended very well but, for the second game running, we conceded a wonder goal from a direct free-kick.

Torshavn Sports: Klaksvikar Itrottarfelag III visit J & K Vollur today, sitting one place and two points behind you. With eight matches remaining, you could really consolidate your top four place with a win.

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): That would be the ideal outcome, definitely, and we'll be doing everything we can to claim the three points for our supporters. We drew 1-1 at J & K Vollur earlier in the season, then later won 1-0 at their place. Both of those previous games suggest this will be another close game as we've come to expect in deild 2.

Torshavn Sports: How's your Faroese coming along?

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): It's improving, thank you.

PREVIEW: Undrid Fotboltsfelag v Football Club Suduroy

Undrid_0-0_Suduroy_pre01.png.0503e225de7932c74c62ca54506fd951.png

Torshavn Sports: You extended your unbeaten run to five matches last weekend with a 3-1 home victory over Klaksvikar Itrottarfelag III.

zzzz_Adventure_Stuniverse_icon.png.24d073905c160f3a45e6e353f383052e.pngzzzz_AnnikaVestergaard1.png.d91f30fcf11b9eec50192a09b13839b6.png

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): Yes. We played very well and thoroughly deserved the victory. We looked comfortable in the first-half after Bjarni Arnason Dalsgaard and Hordur Hentze Johansen both scored for us. Unfortunately, Bjarni Olsen conceded a penalty just before half-time and it was 2-1 at the break. The second-half was a somewhat nervy affair until Bjarni grabbed his second goal of the game to settle our nerves.

Torshavn Sports: Next up, another home game against Football Club Suduroy, who are top of 2. deild. You're in fine form at the moment, playing at home at J & K Vollur, can you cause an upset by beating the league leaders?

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): I'd like to think so. We've not done too bad against Football Club Suduroy this season. We beat them 2-1 in extra-time in the Logmanssteypid, drew 1-1 with them in the league at J & K Vollur, and lost by 2-0 when we played them more recently at Vesturi a Eidinum. We take a lot of confidence with us into this game.

PREVIEW: Tofta Itrottarfelag Boltfelagid 1968 II v Undrid Fotboltsfelag

B68_0-0_Undrid_pre1b.png.16d5d89e3023e3aadc1127d92f1f91c3.png

Torshavn Sports: You caused a sensational upset last time out beating the league leaders Football Club Suduroy 3-1.

zzzz_Adventure_Stuniverse_icon.png.ed148eea3de553e2d29bdefe6ec5d135.pngzzzz_AnnikaVestergaard1.png.305c3e4eaea2f14bcb46007ceb24263a.png

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): We were sensational in that game. The players were magnificent and I was so proud of each and every one of them. Hordur Hentze Johansen gave us the lead with a superb direct free-kick, only for Suduroy to equalise before half-time. After the break, Bjarni Arnason Dalsgaard put us 2-1 up before Hordur sent J &K Vollur crazy with his second goal of the game to clinch it at 3-1.

We thoroughly deserved our victory. We had more shots than Suduroy, more attempts on target than they did and, crucially, scored more goals than they did.

B68_0-0_Undrid_pre2.png.28f039a17b5ea5755f869a8ebe90c00a.png

Torshavn Sports: The win puts you firmly back in the promotion hunt, with a game-in-hand you trail 2nd-placed Skala Itrottarfelag II by three points and 3rd-placed Nes Soknar Itrottarfelag III by two points. Can you go on and win promotion?

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): I don't know but we're in the discussion with six games remaining. We still have both Nes Soknar Itrottarfelag III and Skala Itrottarfelag II to play so things are firmly in our own hands, or should I say feet. We've effectively got six cup finals. We're going to give it everything, focus one game at a time, try to win as many of those six games as we can, and see where that puts us at the end of the season.

Torshavn Sports: You go into today's match against 8th-placed Tofta Itrottarfelag Boltfelagid 1968 II knowing that a win will move you into 2nd place on goal difference and a promotion place.

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): Yes. We have a fantastic opportunity to put ourselves in the box seat for the second promotion place. We're unbeaten against Tofta Itrottarfelag Boltfelagid 1968 II this season having won 2-1 in their Svangaskard Stadium earlier this season and then drawing 2-2 at our own J & K Vollur.  If we can repeat our earlier win in the Svangaskard we'll be delighted.

PREVIEW: Undrid Fotboltsfelag v Nes Soknar Itrottarfelag III

Undrid_0-0_NSI_pre01b.png.4231160a799fb59918a7d3a74fd2463e.png

Torshavn Sports: It's been two weeks since your last match when you could've gone second with a win but, unfortunately, you lost 1-0 away at Tofta Itrottarfelag Boltfelagid 1968 II. What happened?

zzzz_Adventure_Stuniverse_icon.png.93b49ed23497d3b4e40fea5216f4e0da.pngzzzz_AnnikaVestergaard1.png.4079b129f68532f01c999ff5b1a41b56.png

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): We lost a game of football. Obviously, we're very disappointed not only to have lost, but at failing to score. We had a wonderful opportunity to move into the promotion places and put ourselves into the box seat for the second promotion place and we couldn't take it.

But we're also angry. Angry with their manager Ossur Hansen and his team. They'd clearly marked out Bjarni Arnason Dalsgaard as our danger man, but instead of man marking him, they decided to rough him up and kick him off the park. It's not a tactic I've come across in Faroe Islands football before and it disappointed and angered me to be honest. I'm sure Ossur wouldn't have been impressed if I'd asked my players to kick one of his players out of the game.

Bjarni goes down with a knee problem after an extremely heavy challenge on 13 minutes. The medical team advise me we can nurse him through it so we try and do just that. But Bjarni's clearly not right and it's affecting us. We get to half-time at 0-0 and the medical team take another look at Bjarni and it's not good news - he's twisted his knee. We make the substitution and send on Roi Hansen.

The players have switched off and aren't concentrating from the restart - something they will need to learn from - and Tofta Itrottarfelag Boltfelagid 1968 II take the lead on 46 minutes. We try to get an equaliser, and have some chances to do that, but we can't find a way past Ragnar Jacobsen in their goal.

Torshavn Sports: How is Dalsgaard?

Undrid_0-0_NSI_pre05.png.e053a9a44b56fa280c193a6218b2c8f5.png

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): Fortunately, the spaced out schedule in these final half dozen games has helped us there. It's been two weeks and Bjarni has recovered enough to play, but he's lacking match sharpness. I have a decision to make, but the sensible decision may be to name him on the bench and only bring him on if we need to.

Undrid_0-0_NSI_pre03_lgTab.png.9355bfb341b7c3dc7d7d859d6cf66260.png

Torshavn Sports: Although in 4th place still with five matches left to play, you're only three points behind Skala Itrottarfelag II in 2nd with a better goal difference. Today you're at home to 3rd placed Nes Soknar Itrottarfelag III and will overtake them with a win. This is a 'must win' match, isn't it?

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): We'll still have four games left to play and 12 points to play for after this game so I wouldn't say it's must win, but clearly the 2. deild league table and our promotion chances look much better if we do win today. That's what we'll be trying to do in front of our own supporters at J & K Vollur.

We beat Nes Soknar Itrottarfelag III 1-0 at J & K Vollur much earlier this season, before a 0-0 stalemate at their Vid Lokin Stadium more recently. We've beaten them once at J &  Vollur this season and that gives us the confidence to go out there and win again.

Undrid_0-0_NSI_pre04.png.c1665353618225ac0220ab0a1f905fd9.png

Torshavn Sports: Good luck. All the best.

Stuniverse (translated by Annika Vestergaard): Thank you. I appreciate it.
