shaunvamos
November 2026 Dumped unceremoniously from the FA Cup by York and then Lincoln knocked us out of the Checkatrade trophy. No big deal really, just the league left for us now, in which we were undefeated this month.

shaunvamos
February 2027 Another good month, faltered a bit towards the end but I'm still terrified. We now have a shot at automatic promotion.

I honestly have no idea what’s going on. I was geared for another 5 years in League 2 at least. I can only assume that we’ve discovered a gold mine through the players bigger clubs have let go. We have good scouts so I think the reports are fairly accurate. I’m not sure if tactical have anything to do with it either. I guarantee we will be riding on Leeds’ coattails for some time still, as well as Huddersfield and the Sheffield’s picking up the scraps from their tables. shaunvamos
2027 Youth Intake Not much doing here either, except the fact that barely anyone is from Guiseley. Josh Johnson 8A* - Jeff Wilde 8B - Jonny Darley 8C*
shaunvamos
March 2027 We've beaten the teams above us (plus Grimsby), and been flogged by the teams below us. Makes sense. It does seem as though we are a lock for the layoffs, and an outside chance for automatic promotion.
shaunvamos
April 2027 A near imperfect month nearly saw us out of the playoff places, but then the win over Forest Green nearly out us into automatic promotion. It's funny how this thing works!
shaunvamos
2026/27 End of Season Review We made it to the final after an excellent display against Mansfield, but it wasn't to be. I am ecstatic with the performance this season, it has completely blown my expectations for this save out of the water. Strengthening the side with discarded pieces will again be a factor in making this team stronger next season. We'll be playing in Accrington next season. I know that there's supposedly an issue with this but I'll go ahead with it anyway. Tom Scott (Leeds) Alex Stuart (Barnsley) - Pete Sampson (Huddersfield) - Kane Leverton (Huddersfield) Max Baker (Harrogate) Carl Litchfield (Barnsley) Dean Vasey (Leeds) - Jeremy Ashforth (Bradford) Rob Charles 5A* Nicky Chambers 3B* - Jack Morton (Clitheroe) Progress
shaunvamos
2027 Preseason We spent our preseason getting smashed, and not in the fun way. Transfers We did our usual raiding of better teams, both for the future (Leeds players) and the present (everyone else). These loan players are what will get us over the line that we didn't cross last season, especially Metcalfe. His tagline of 'promising' is intriguing, including the fact that a team like ours was able to land him. Everyone else of that calibre wasn't interested in us. Stockdale will slot straight into the midfield, and Read is required for some goals. Dean Bowditch (Leeds) - Damien Rogerson (Leeds) - Sean Young (Leeds) Bruce Poole (Barnsley) - Mark Pratt (Huddersfield) Matthew Metcalfe (Barnsley) - Brian Stockdale (Barnsley) - John Read (Castleford) Season Preview Before those loan signings we were predicted 16th. So hopefully they are the missing links to a promotion season.
shaunvamos
July 2027 Just the one game, and it was a good start. Let's just end the season now thanks. Edited December 2, 2019 by shaunvamos
shaunvamos
August 2027 An average month, beginning with our traditional flogging by York City. No matter what happens we always get flogged by them. We had a good win in the League Cup, before holding Brighton close in the 2nd Round. But we are in an okay position.

Yes, but as long as we are safe we can continue to build. 20 hours ago, kidthekid said: What happened to Nicky Chambers? He's still around, but the arrivals of Poole and Read demoted him from number 2 to number 4 in the pecking order. He has appeared as a sub though. shaunvamos
January 2028 - , Apart from the Forest Green flogging, we couldn't buy a win. I'm not really sure what to do here, as our clear cut chances over the last 10 games outnumbered the opposition by 28-16. Obviously we just have to get more clinical. We are only a couple of wins away from shooting up the table
shaunvamos
February 2028 I mentioned earlier that we only needed a couple of wins to shoot up the table. Whilst we haven't moved up that much, we are in a much better position now in terms of challenging for a playoff spot, despite the slim chance that this will become a reality. Winning our game in hand against Grimsby is paramount to this.
shaunvamos
2028 Youth Intake I'm not sold that this is a golden generation, but our top 2 prospects look to possibly prove it to me, despite their poor personalities. What really surprises me is that there are no local Guiseley boys coming through this year. Bob Bentham 9A - Alex Lovick 9B - Steve Gray 9C
shaunvamos
March 2028 We started off well, and then Stockport grounded us with a thump. 5 games to go, 7 points off the playoffs. It's possible, but not probable.
shaunvamos
End of Season Review Strong end to the season but we just didn't recover from our poor start. Tom Scott (Leeds) Pete Sampson (Huddersfield) - Alex Stuart (Barnsley) - Kane Leverton (Huddersfield) Max Baker (Harrogate) - Carl Litchfield (Barnsley) Brian Stockdale (Barnsley) - Jeremy Ashforth (Bradford) Matthew Metcalfe (Barnsley) John Read (Castleford) - Bruce Poole (Barnsley) No worries, let's build a new stadium whilst a million pounds in debt. shaunvamos
Preseason 2028 Straightforward preseason. The loss to Bradford is due to me mistakenly making everyone available for an U23 game on the same day. We still may have lost, but it wouldn't have been by that much. Transfers Jamie Woods (Barnsley) - Jack Leonard (Wakefield) - Declan Grant (Keighley) - Bobby Gascoigne (Oldham) - Grant Nichols (Rochdale) Extended the loan of Metcalfe for another year, and then got some other loans in. The free transfer applies to a keeper with room for development, as our first choice keeper Scott is getting a little old at 27. Woods returns as a backup after a three year hiatus. Grant is a backup striker, but his finishing coupled with his pace will make him a formidable threat. Gascoigne is a current England U20 international and will compete with Baker at RWB. Nichols, a Man City academy product, is the player I am most excited about, as his defending attributes are ideal. Just some loans and released some deadwood. Season Preview The expectations are huge this season. I only hope that we can meet them.

shaunvamos
July/August2028 A very good start to the league, we've been in inspired form. We have compounded this with the usual losses in cup games.
shaunvamos
September 2028 Faltered a little bit towards the end of the month, costing us top spot, but picked things back up against Cambridge. Bruce Poole has been a goalscoring machine so far, already scoring more goals than he did last season in a third of the gametime.

shaunvamos
October 2028 The loss to Mansfield tarnished an otherwise outstanding month, as well as knocking us off top spot (again). shaunvamos
2029 Youth Intake They weren't wrong about the good centre back, he's the first prospect I've been excited about for long time. Throw in that keeper and perhaps this is a (kind of) golden generation. Mitch O'Brien 10A* - Tony Debenham-Waterfall 10B - Alan Stow 10C
shaunvamos
March 2029 We're doing our best to bottle it, or at least to make it interesting. With 4 games to go 9 teams are in the hunt for a promotion spot. I would say that we have one of the best run ins as well, but I'm expecting we mess things up.
