Pretty decent season 2 there! Did you get bought out to get that kind of budget?

I've just been bought out in April 2009, and the consortium are considering replacing me with 'Arry Redknapp, after he did so poorly with Spurs he was sacked in January!

Yeah I was bought out just before the transfer window in season 1 and the chairman has plowed money in. I would guess between 120-150mill easily

What about the ground; has anyone been built a new stadium? Obviously, whenever you request an expansion the board say that they can't expan because of lack of space around the ground so a new stadium is the only option really.

I am at the end of the first season and wasn't taken over but Big Peter Storey is now the chairman (and states will never leves the clb he loves) but no dosh to spend? Will I get any dosh or will someone else take us over????

I would think it will be a while before you get taken over if Storrie has gone in and money may not become available as easily.

Been knocked out of the Euro Cup 2nd round by Marseille 4-3. Ive also been knocked out the FA cup 6th round by Chelsea. On a postive note i beat Man Utd at Home as well as Away i also had a fight back against Arsenal who where winning 3-0 final score 3-3. 28 games in and im 6th with 2 games in hand

I Promised the board to finsh in the top half and got a transfer budget of £12M of which i had planned on buying Ben Foster but he decided he didnt want to come so had to settle with a season loan. Hopefully i can achieve my target and can pick up some more bargains come January

I have had Koroma out on loan to Norwich and then Zulte, but going into the 3rd season i have just partnered with Stoke who may be promoted in the Playoffs so will send him there, Keirrison is on fire so much that I have changed formation to include him and Cardozo

Looks good, amazing how people's teams can end up looking so different. Just two questions, firstly how are you finding Sneijder? He was made out to be the next big thing and I played him say 9 or 10 games a season and then sent him to Zulte and he bombed there, was awful and now leaving on a freebie at the end of season 2 as coaches say he is a 2 star player! Also, how are you getting on with the monster that is Haruna? He is a wonderkid on mine and partnered him with Diarra or Sunny and they destroy teams! Just got a bid from Valencia for Haruna of 15M, but don't want to sell to be honest.

Yeah, I scouted Sneijder and he was said to be a good prospect. He also only made a handful appearances for me. He's excellent in all the technical attributes but lacks pace and defensive skills. He seems more a winger than a midfielder to me. I would easily give him the task of taking the corners and free kicks, but apart from that I don't really want him on my central midfield. Especially since I play with wingers, I want my 2 central midfielders to have quite some defensive skills. So I'm not sure about him yet, I might train him to become an AMR (like Bazarite, but he already was decent on AMR, although primarily AMC), but I don't know if it's worth it with his lack of pace. Conclusion: I haven't really decided on him yet.

Haruna is indeed rapidly increasing in skills. My scouts actually said that he would be better than Diarra, which seems nearly impossible. Since Diarra and Kompany (or Maduro the season before) collected quite a few cards and injuries, he has already played in about 30-40 games in the 3 seasons for me. I still rate Kompany higher than him at the moment, but he's only 20 and already really close to Kompany. He seems to have exactly the same profile as Diarra and thats why I bought him. I was afraid that Diarra wouldn't extend his contract since so many big clubs wanted him, but he extended it at the last moment. I don't want to sell Haruna as well, he'll be my leading central midfielder in 2-3 seasons for sure.

The first season I won the FA Cup, second season I won the Euro Cup and the two small cups(Charity Shield and Euro Super Cup) and in my third season I finished fourth to qualify for the champions league.

GK Mandanda (Signed after second season for a lot 37mil but is very good and a lot of time to go)

RB Glen Johnson (Been at the club since the start and has been very reliable for me)

LB Kolarov (Signed in first season and is very good)

CB Zapata (Signed second season for 20mil but worth it)

CB Pape Diakhate (Signed first season after Distin was sold)

RM Obasi (Very good player for me, signed in the first season)

LM Carlos Eduardo (Signed first season from Hoffenheim and is very good played on the left)

MC Diarra (Captain and absolutley fantastic)

MC Krankjar (Very good for me also, wanted a transfer but he stayed and now has a long contract)

FC Crouch

The two strikers have been fantastic for me, Defoe just keeps banging them in and Crouch has scored a lot aswell.

I still have David James as Backup, he is 41 but is still very good.

I don't have too much money as I have spent most of it on new transfers, normally one big one every season such as Zapata then Mandanda. This has left me with some players like Johnson, Crouch and Defoe who could have been replaced but the money just isn't there. I have also bought a good few youngsters and excellent coaches so they are mostly my backup players.

The board also decided to build a new stadium which I am looking forward to going to in 2012. The club spent a lot of money on this but decided to make it only hold 28000 people. I though they would have went for more but hey i can maybe increase it later. Hopefully this will bring in more money in the future and also the debts are nearly paid off!

Well this has been a good game as I normally last about half a season before getting bored but as they have lost a few players in real life I thought it would be nice to play them before the next patch.

Diarra for Captain? Interesting as I am sure he only has 14 influence on my game and I would not consider anybody for Captain without at least 18 influence. Diarra is my Vice-Captain, but must say we never really perform when he is Captain.

I agree on the one big signing a season unless of course you can get a freebie. I think it is the most frustrating part of the game as you cannot expand stadium (until it seems season 3 or 4) and so you can never really increase revenue to enable you to make large sums of money. I think I must be sitting on 40m in the bank and the board rarley give me more than 8m to 10m! I think I need a big sale to move the club on and my 2 biggest players are Huntleaar (valued at 12m), Diarra (valued at 15m) and Haruna (valued at 8m). Do have some good freebies coming in next season, but none in those positions.

I am not sure whether the rest of you guys playing as Pompey are Pompey fans IRL, but can you not help but let some of the real world changes influence you in the game. Whilst I actually have a lot of respect for Diarra in the way he handled himself (especially for a french man!) in the Real Madrid transfer, but I still can't help but want let him go now if a big enough bid comes in. Same with defoe, execpt with him I want to let him rot in the reserves for a few months and only sell him to a naff club (like Spurs...sorry, had to get that in!). Its funny, I think I did read a thread somewhere where people do actually refuse to buy players they hate IRL or instead buy them and then treat them awfully! lol.

I support Dunfermline. I decided to go Portsmouth because I know that in the next patch there wouldn't be Diarra and Defoe. I liked the idea of having Crouch and defoe and Krankjar and Diarra. I thought that they looked good patnerships. I know what you mean though when I paly as the pars I don't like playing players who have left us in real life but are still with us in the game.

Two pieces of news from my game.

I haven't had much tiem to play recently so still only at the start of my second season. Firstly I finnaly got my takeover and kept my job and we are undefeated since the takeover took place. The youth facilities were upgraded and the training facilities are in the process of being upgraded.

My second piece of news regards transfers. Made two large signings in Tranquillo Barnetta who is currently playing on the right wing but I will soon move him to the left after January when I can find an out and out right winger. I also signed Javier Saviola to replace Crouch and he is banging in the goals with support from Lewandowski and Bellamy. Will post up my team within the next few days (after January transfer window)

Also should note We are placed 12th after a shaky start but hoping to progress to Carling cup quarter finals and move up the league

Winning the UEFA Cup with Pompey is one of my biggest achievements I think. Managed to beat AC Milan and Barcelona along the way.

Apart from that I had a rather colorless season. Managed to reach the final of the FA Cup but got hamered there by Man Utd and finished only 8th in the premier league. We had a bad start, a great run in mid season and a terrible finish. I don't know if my team is progressing or not.

i sold campbell to clear wages, sold defoe for 10m to spurs(dont know how,he's useless and only jst arrived from there) and krancjar for 15m to man city. with that, i signed vander vaart for 12m(was listed) and he turned my season round. i signed ljungberg and a thiago silve to cover other positions, and then in dec got owen for 4m!was ecstatic!won the uefa cup and finished in 11th????
