League Game: Luton 5-0 Chester

First match of the Season sees Luton at home to Chester in a game they are expected to win. In 7 minutes Claudio Sanchez becomes the first sign up player to score, with an absolute screamer from 25 yards out.

Oh yeah, first goal.

Could do with bumping up my average rating though, 6.8 isn't too impressive.

September Season 07 Key Matches and Events

League Game: Barnet 1-1 Luton

Crawford opened the scoring on 30 minutes after his cross was deflected in by a Barnet defender, the goal was awarded as an own goal. It was an very even game with midfield dominating the play and depriving both sides of attacking play. Barnet scored an equaliser in the 87th minute after Medley got away from Holt in the box. The game finished all square, a result neither set of fans could complain about. Crawford won Man of the Match.

New feeser Club: Stevenage

Luton have there first feeder club, Stevenage are only a division below them.

Players called up to first squad

Tom Proctor and Robert Dawson both have 16th birthdays and get called into the first squad.

Giovani is injured in training

He is out for a month, which is good news for Dawson as he slots straight into his position.

Jonny Dean gets a MoM match in a reserves game.

League Game: Luton 1-0 Brentford RIVALS!

Top of the table Brentford came to Kenilworth road, both sides cancelled each other out in a dull first half. Gazza did a lot of ranting at half time and sent his time out with a more attacking mentality. Luton instantly looked more threatening but could not get any shots on targets. Substitute Dan Gleballs broke the dead lock on 60 minutes after he got his head onto a Sanchez cross. Luton made Brentford look very average and Dan Gleballs was awarded a deserved Man of the Match.

League Game: Exeter 0-4 Luton

Exeter were going to have to park a bus in front of goal to get a result here and two and a half minutes is all it took Gleballs to head in a Griffiths-Smith cross to prove that point. Gleballs then nailed an opposition Defender who had to be stretchered off before slotting in his second goal on 10 minutes after a through pass from Haowan. Three minutes later Haowan hit an excellent dead ball into the net from 25 yards out to continue his long distance goal machine title. Haowan then set up Dawson who had found space on the edge of the box, Dawson slotted home his first goal for Luton to make it 4-0 after 16 minutes and that is how it stayed for the rest of the game. Gleballs was once again MoM.

League Game: Luton 0-0 Rochdale

Pieterzoon got MoM in a yawn of a game. Points lost.

League Game: Notts Co 1-1 Luton

Another game Luton were expected to win and another chance for Page to impress in goal in an all changed defence. Theo Stig stepped up and wore the arm band because both Captain Pagliuca and Vice Captain Holt were rested. Luton total dominated the first half, but it took something special from Griffihs-Smith to break the deadlock with a solo run from the half way line, rounding the keeper and slotting it home. Luton dominated the second half as well, but could not get the ball in the net, then County stole a point with their first shot on target in the 92nd minute of the game. Another 2 points lost. Griffiths-smith got a well deserved MoM.

Sanchez becomes the first sign up player to make a team of the week

League Game: Morecambe 5-2 Luton

Luton went into this game as favourites, but despite playing well they found them selves 2 goals down after 33 minutes.

Gazza did another rant and rave at half time and then hit the bottle while covering his eyes and crossing his fingers.

55 mins. Haowan set up Hasslebaink to pull one back as Gazza made changes and went all out attacking.

Played 9 games this season. Not bad for a 16 year old. It doesn't matter much but you haven't put the score up for the Lincoln game. Its looking good so far like the way the updates are written just wish my guy would score more. KUTGW!!!

Almost into positive points. Disappointed i've only made 1 appearance in the last 6. Hopefully be able to force my way back in. we'll see. Its good so far though. kutgw.

You are playing in the hotly contested MC/DM position, 4 players fighting over one spot. You are in the starting line up this month.

Can I start training you for the AMC role? We only have 3 layers fighting for 2 plces here, one of them is Giovanni.

Luton is looking good

Mathematically, if we keep this pace up, we have a chance to fight for a promotion spot.

(11 wins/17 games)(46 games) = about 30 wins

(5 draws/17 games)(46 games) = about 14 draws

(30 * 3) + 14 = 104

30 point deduction = 74 points

Not sure if we will only have 2 losses by the end of the season, but if we get more wins than draws the rest of the way, we have a chance!

Nakano not doing so well, but meh:p. KUTGW.

Looks like a playoff place is a posibility though, would be top without the points deduction.

any chance of retraining mat frith as a left back/centre back

i cant see my 2nd position of cm being used too much as there are far too many of them in the squad

many thanks)

Sure will, we seem to have a glut of DC to MC players and we only need 3 of them at any time. I am training two of the MC to play AMC, so you will eventually get more places there. An extra position of DL will also help, but you are right footed so would DR be a better choice?

I will add the squad list to each match from now on so you can all see when and where you played, as well as how you performed.

Thanks for keeping an eye for me at Stevenage.

Terras, your age may hamper your development, you are gaining CA at the same pace as the rest of the squad. We can either stick with it and see how you work out or we can knock a few years off your age to put you back in the same area as the other players. Stevenage are high flying, top of the league, this means you should get a lot of play, it also means that they will not be our feeder club next year as they will be in the same league (barring a miracle).

I have been doing the same maths, I honestly didn't think a play of place was possible.

Start of season we were 30 points behind 7th place, after 17 games we are now 19 points behind, so a gain of 11 points so far.

My dodgy maths makes it that if we carry on at the same rate we will be 29.75 points behind them after 46 games, How close is that!?!

Do you think I should The Lanbs?

Or am I too vital for the first team squad to be let go

You would get more games which would not hurt your development to much.

ah yes, rb i meant haha

cheers (Y)

Your being retrained now.

Lambs: Here, I'll show you an excel table: League 2 Projection

Ignoring the fact that the losses table apparently doesn't add up:rolleyes:, we are fighting for spots 6th and 7th if we can keep this up. Promotion is not impossible, just very unlikely, and a lot of variables need to go our way.

Great table! I am not sure if we can pull off a play off place, but it would be a great achievement.

I am going to use a spread sheet to track your CA and position development.

I think it's possible to pull off....we just can't lose another game...:(

And should I (Nakano) go to Stevenage? At least you can't fine me!:p

But if you keep me, can you retrain me at left back?
