Just started the season with a 3-0 win over Lorient. Trying to sign Shaqiri now as he'll give brilliant cover for Menez and Nene but also challenge for a first team place for the next few years as he improves. Keeping with my plan of quality young players and 1 or 2 marquee signings a year.

Quality signing. He was one of my top performing players in the demo.

A quick update...

Still unbeaten in the league as we head into February in season 2, though our performances haven't been great of late and our lead is down to 8pts.

We lost in the semi final of the CDL to AC Havre 3-2 having been 2-0 up. However we managed to navigate our way past AC Milan in the 1st knockout round of the CL thanks to something of a freak result. We drew the home leg 1-1, with Milan having a man sent off just before half time but in Italy we astonishingly won 6-1 for a 7-2 aggregate win, with Damiao grabbing a hattrick.

We added Lucas Moura to the squad on transfer deadline day for £27.5m. Some up front, some over 48 months and some dependant on appearances and goals.

Nene was offloaded to Aston Villa for £3m to help claw a little back and because his opportunities would be even more limited.

We now have a nice group of young exciting South Americans in Pastore, Damiao, Lucas Moura and Felipe Anderson, who we hope can provide attacking flair and goals for the team for many years and also a backbone of French players such as Sakho, Kaboul, Corchia, Martin, M'Vila, Menez and Gameiro plus youngsters challenging for the first team in Sanogo, Areola and Bahebeck too.

He's looked good for me, only been using him from the bench first few games but grabbed the winner on his debut!

Anyway, here's a few screens now the window has closed.

PROJECT PSG : SEASON 3

Our third season in the bag and what a campaign it was, we won every competition we were involved in which was a lot for the squad to take, add that to an extra long season for all the players involved in international comeptition at the World Cup this summer. Here's a run down of your trophy haul this season :

- Champions Trophy Vs Lyon - 3-1

- UEFA Super Cup Vs Juventus - 2-1

- Club World Championship Vs Cruz Azul - 5-0

- Coupe de la Ligue Vs Stade Rennais - 1-0

- French Cup Vs Lyon - 2-0

- Ligue 1 - 88 Points

- UEFA Champions League Vs Real Madrid - 1-1(5-3 on penalties)

- FIFA World Cup Vs Senegal - 2-0

I really dont think it's possible for me to top that season, infact i'm pretty sure we won't!! For me now it's about buidling a legacy, continuing my ethos and building PSG and the French league to the highest standard. Being the national manager helps me make sure that we stay as one of world football's major players.

SQUAD ANALYSIS

It's so hard to separate the best performers as with the amount of games played everyone played there part. Both Ospina & Areola gave outstanding performances between the sticks. Rami & Sakho formed a mean double act in front of them with Dede & Kaboul chipping in some commendable apperances. M'Vila was a great addition of course but he just added a lot of security in front of my back line. Pastore & Martin we're as creative as you'd expect, they were however slightly overshadowed by the boys on the wings but thats due to my tactics.

Here's the top two players though :

KEVIN GAMEIRO

p><p><img src=

Uploaded with ImageShack.us[/img]

As you can see Gamiero for the 3rd season in row was a beast, weither partnered with Sow, Sanogo or Giroud he was unstoppable. BahEbeck has been a revelation for me every season, he's won all sorts of awards including "Best Young Players At The World Cup!!" I'm hoping he continues his development as he could be a true PSG legend.

On the subject of the World Cup i thought i'd share how i got on, i know it's not on PSG topic but the squad was heavuly featuring PSG players and the scorer of the winner in the Final was a PSG player so...

A truly monumental summer, now crashing back to reality of another long season ahead. I've made some additions to the squad this summer to add a lot of depth as we have sooooooo many game ahead i feel as if i'm stretching some players too far. My squad does feel a bit big but i sure i'll trim it slightly to make sure it's managable. I'll detail my dealings and such in the next post.

TRANSFER CENTER : SEASON 4

As i said, this summers spending was definetly looking to bring in some depth as opposed to signing "superstars, after bringing in M'Vila & Hazard i dont feel i need to spend large on and individuel. The players brought in stick with my ehtos of only signing players who have played/play in Ligue 1 are French or African.

Interesting signings and the Moroccan boys looks really good  Lets hope they have a good season and can make a good impact.

Thanks MrSundlofer, I'm very proud of that season and with how things are going in general. Now looking to build PSG and the nation of France to the pinnacle of world football.

My youth intake over the last 3 seasons has been rather poor if I'm honest, only this most recent season did I sign 3 of the candidates with a view to them having a future at the club.

If I'm honest I'm concentrating off developing the group of youngsters in my first team at the moment. Ongenda, Niang, Digne, Sanogo, Bahebeck, Areola, Yaisein, Eriksen & Lejuene.

Yeah hoping for big things from my Moroccan invasion, they are all quality players who know the league and have there best years ahead. A huge part was that they fit into my transfer policy, that was greatly important to me.

How's your campaign going MrSundlofer?

FOCUS ON

saididevelopment2.png

If you have followed my posts you have noticed I have some extremely promising young players in my team and Rachid Saidi is on of them. He was promoted to the squad from the yearly youth candidates in the first season and is now an important attacking player in the first team, still only 18 years of age.

DEVELOPMENT

This is from March 2012 to October 2014.

saididevelopment3.png

My assistant manager thinks he will be as good as Javier Pastore. And Rachid Saidi is still only rated two stars, so much more to come from him. I'm looking forward to when Laurent Blanc makes him a part of the French national team.

Kaoutari might be worth a look on my save as I'm wanting a decent DL to take over from Tiene.

Good signing. I have him as well. Are you playing him as a central attacking midfielder or on the wing?

I'm playing either 4-1-2-2-1 or a Barca tactic that I downloaded which is essentially the same but with the AMR tucked in to be an AMCR, so he has been playing AMR or AMC with Pastore advanced to play AMCR.

He's only had a handful of games so far and has been sub in a couple of them but he's doing okay. Just settling in but averaging 7.20+ I think.

I may revisit your tactical information from earlier in the thread and have another go at creating my own.

Our reward for beating AC Milan is a quarter final tie against Real Madrid. We had Real in the group stage and won 2-1 and lost 2-1 so hopefully we can keep it close in the away leg and get the result we need at home.

Things are more comfortable in the league:

P30 W23 D7 L0 F57 A10

We're nine points clear with eight games to play. Everything is going fairly well. Lucas Moura is settling in well as our AMR as Menez and DiMaria seem to get alternately injured. The only downside is that Felipe Anderson is complaining about playing time even though he's a regular substitute and does start a few games in centre midfield to rotate Martin and Pastore.

Damiao seems to be doing a little better too. He's been slowed a little by injury since we signed him in Season 1 and he's not as explosive as he is on my Liverpool save but he's doing well, though his goals seem to come in gluts. He'll go a few games without scoring then bag a hattrick.

Sirigu is just an awesome keeper for us and still very young for the position. It might be some time before Areola can dislodge him. One thing that did seem weird to me was the league awards at the start of season 2. The manager of the year was bottom of the league and team of the year mid table, yet we'd won the cup, league and uefa cup. I know our expectations would have been higher or maybe the press just don't like PSG? :p

@MrSundlofer: Saidi looks very good indeed! :)

Currently flying in the league - Also, trying to sign Tevez. Had one bid accepted of £20m over 4 years but couldn't agree a contract, he isn't playing any games whatsoever for City so hopefully we can strike a deal in January.

INFORMATION

FIRST TEAM

First of all, I am very happy with my first team squad, but it can always be better. I think I'm looking for a quality right back and another versatility player to cover 2-4 positions.

firstteam2014.png

Three very young players in that squad - Rachid Saidi, Marius Gaillard and Hulusi Öztürk. Hopefully one or more of my young talents in the U19 squad can take the step to the first team during the year as well.

TRANSFERS

My only transfer so far is Karim Benzema from Real Madrid. Delighted. My aim is to make him a good left winger - just like I did with Kevin Gameiro but on the other wing.

First post on the PSG thread. I have been lurking all along without contributing. Yes, I am a free-loader!

MrSundlofer, you are probably well into season 4 by now, but I will comment as if you are still pre-season 4. Looks to me like you are light at DC. I like to have 4 DCs and at least one other player (prefer two) who play other positions but can fill in. Of course given your meticulous building of your PSG, you probably haver several young players ready, or at least on the cusp of stepping into the first team.

A DC I really like, but seems to get no love is Marvin Compper (Hoffenheim - German) who is also has French nationality and IIRC fluent French. He is the rare fast DC. I think he starts with 17 pace. For those of use who like to play aggresive pressing with a high line, a fast DC is a great asset to have.

As far as DR, you are using Lassana Diarra and Etienne Capoue primarly at DR? And you have Jaillet for depth? That looks very strong and deep to me. But you can't go wrong with Corchia (although he may be too expensive in season 4).

I would have difficulty keeping all those attacking players you have happy. I'd probably look to move Zarate (I prefer French and culturally French players) and I'd want to move Menez (as something of a Roma fan I just don't like him IRL...low work rate, highly inconsistent). Also seems like it might be time to give more games to some of your quality young players.

As has been said numerous times, thanks for the fantastic OP. Without a doubt it is the best OP I have ever seen...and there are and have been some really good ones.

Oh, before I forget...the must buy for me as PSG is Seydou Doumbia (CSKA - Cote d'Ivoire)! Way overrated IMHO, but he is like a young Samuel Eto'o in FM12. I'd rather spend my money on him then Remy, Niang, Sanogo or Traore (all very good players).

Hey man, welcome!

It's funny you mention Doumbia as i'm considering replacing Moussa Sow with Doumbia as he looks like a real handfull. As for Compper, he has solid physicals but his lack of heading would be a real worry and his tackling & marking can be found better elsewhere. Good player but PSG are above that level i feel.

Who would/have you replaced Menez with? I've got Ryad Boudebouz & Belhanda in my squad to cover that position.

Welcome to the thread DominicForza!

Good and interesting comments about my first team squad.

I'm now in November 2014 and things are going very well.

As you pointed out I needed a new central defender and I signed the captain of Montpellier Hérault SC - Mapou Yanga Mbiwa. He was a part of the French national team in World Cup 2014. Here is a picture of him:

mbiwanew.png

He can also cover both full back positions.

You mention Sébastien Corchia and I have had offers accepted for him and offered him a contract twice... but in the end i cancelled the deal. Somehow he doesn't fit my plans for PSG. And I want to give Etienne Capoue the chance at the right back position.

And you are right, I have to many attacking players... Mauro Zárate is on his way out. Linked with Lille. I try to rotate my players to keep them all happy. And it has worked so far.

I can also report that I have signed three very hot prospects from Russia. A goalkeeper, a central defender and an attacking midfielder. All of them plays in my very strong reserve team.

And a player in my U19 team, Franck Fournier is on loan at FC Nantes in Ligue 1 and is a regular starter as a striker. He's only 15 years old.

Are you currently playing as PSG?

Wow. We just beat Real 1-0 in the away leg of our UCL quarter final. Pastore with the important away goal.

Saint Etienne next up then the home tie.

I'm seriously considering offloading Damiao, Di Maria and Felipe Anderson in the summer. Anderson is unhappy and Damiao and Di Maria aren't living up to my expectations.

Perhaps they are too high and perhaps me changing tactics a couple of times hasn't helped but although I may not offer them out I will certainly listen to any interesting offers I might get for them.

Who else are your attacking options?

I have some great attacking options in attack and Leandro Damiâo is one of them but somewhere in my head I have thoughts on selling him. I'm not sure why. He's one of my best players, but I really want to give the other players a chance, and some reserve players are progressing well. Will wait and see.

None really at centre forward... Gameiro, Sanogo and Ongenda.

Felipe Anderson has now decided he's happy and was instrumental in us just beating AS Saint Etienne 5-1 with a slightly weakened team.

We have Menez, Bahebeck, Moura and Gameiro who can play in the wide positions.

If I did sell one or more of them I would probably have to buy a replacement. Perhaps I'm expecting too much. Damiao has 26 goals in 41 games (15 in 26 in the league) plus 7 assists but he seems to go for long spells not playing very well then bang! A hattrick! Avg rating 7.37

Di Maria has 10 goals in 39 games and 15 assist. Avg rating 7.29

EDIT: Xabi Alonso heads in a corner to draw Real level on aggregate but captain fantastic Mamadou Sakho nods in the equaliser in the second half from a PSG corner to level things up and we hold on to win 2-1 on aggregate for a famous victory! :)

We get Man City in the semis.

Amazing scenes at the Parc des Princes as PSG overturn a 1-0 first leg deficeit to win 2-0 on the night and 2-1 on aggregate against Man City.

Goals from Sakho and Di Maria and a fine display from Sirigu ensure the win and a place in the UCL final to face Barcelona.

We need 4 points from 5 remaining games to retain the league and we face Lille in the French cup final.

Secured our 2nd straight league title with 4 games still to play last night. We've won our last 12 games setting a new record and although we remain unbeaten we have really hit some good form since the memorable win in Milan.

P34 W27 D7 L0

Next up is Lille in the cup final and then we can play our backups in the last 4 games to give them some experience and protect our star players from injury before the UCL final against Barcelona.

Lucas Moura, Di Maria, Sakho and Felipe Anderson have all been in good form lately for us. Anderson is now happy at the club and I'm his only favoured person so it looks like he'll be sticking around. In fact he's probably done better than Pastore recently. I may retrain Pastore as an AML. Has anyone had any experience of him playing wide?

Di Maria has come good too towards the end of the season but I'd still let him go for £30M or so. Damiao is injured again but should be fit for the final against Barca. I've been keeping my eye on Doumbia as his replacement and the two young Mexicans at Chivas also. If I can make the money back I paid for him I may very well let him go at the end of the season.

Other players likely to go in the summer are Bodmer and Armand, who is at the end of his contract. Main targets will be a starting left back and a replacement for Damiao should he leave.

Here's my regular starting line up and main backups for Season 2.

GK - Sirigu (Areola)

DR - Corchia (Cealu sp?)

DL - Tiene (Armand)

DC - Lugano (Kaboul)

DC - Sakho

MCR - Pastore (Felipe Anderson)

MC - M'Vila (Matuidi)

MCL - Martin

AMR - Lucas Moura (Bahebeck)

AML - Di Maria (Menez)

FC - Damiao (Gameiro)

Some of the guys in brackets have started at times during the season, most notably Kaboul when Lugano has been injured and Lucas Moura, Di Maria and Menez have all had lengthy spells in the 1st 11.

I had originally looked at Cissokho and M'Bengue in season 1 but Tiene played so well I didn't make a move for them and now they are at Arsenal and Ajax respectively.

At the minute I'm still searching so any ideas would be welcome.

I'm trying to stick to French/African/South American players though.

Horau - Thanks for the warm welcome. That was very cool...I am touched (good touch, not bad touch). I agree that Compper is not a top class defender and clearly after a few seasons of building he is not good enough for PSG, at least not to start. I like to play a very high-line and try to have at least one DC with high pace. I am willing to take the trade-off of lacking in some of the traditional central defender attributes for pace. If I can keep them out of the box with high line, lots of pressure and a good trap, then those attributes won't be called on often. I do think Compper is more then good enough to be a 4th or 5th DC. Plus he is German/French/Guadalope!4

Doumbia is a great FM12 player and is a real star IRL. Can't go wrong with him. He is Cote d'Ivoire, so fluent french speaker and should settle fairly easily.

As for Menez, I just don't like him! Its a personal thing. As far as a replacement, like MrSundlofer I have used Gameiro as an inside forward ina 4-3-3 (4-1-2-2-1), he's excellent there. I like all the usual suspects there: Belhanda, Shaqiri, Boudebouz, Ait Fana, Nangis...(I stick to "culturally French" players).

btw Horau, what skin are you using? Its lovely. From the screen shots it looks like you can still read the matchday text. I have had problems using backgrounds..on match day the white text is so faint I can only read it with great effort.

MrSundlofer, Yanga Mbiwa is an excellent buy. From reading your posts throughout this thread I was pretty sure that you either had several young DCs ready to step into first team or that you would buy someone.

I am about to start a new game. I prefer to play as several teams, I get bored too quickly playing only as a big club and I find that I dont have the patience to play as a small club, or lower division club and slowly build them. So I do both! Each new FM I like to play about half a season to a season to get a feel for the new version, especially tactics and now team talks. I will probably start my "official," career game w PSG & Dynamo Dresden...maybe Athletic Bilbao...maybe a Brazilian club too.

I will be playing as PSG again, its a great club to play. I will follow a strict "culturally French" policy. Only players from native french speaking countries - France, Belgium, Switzerland and former French African colonies. Do I really need a larger pool to find players?

Quick update:

Completed our 2nd consecutive domestic double by winning the French Cup 3-0 against Lille.

Gameiro with 2 very well taken goals filling in for the injured Damiao. He also chipped in with the assist for the 3rd goal which was an OG by a Lille defender.

Having read some of the threads in the tactics forum I think the reason why Menez and Di Maria in particular seem to be greedy and shoot from impossible angles when playing as inside forwards is due to their low teamwork (I think that's the case with both of them). They shoot from tight angles and try and dribble the ball in from the byline instead of pulling it back for our centre forward or onrushing midfielders. Lucas Moura I'm presuming has higher teamwork as he often looks for a teammate and rarely shoots from ridiculous positions.

I think I'm going to make a concerted effort to get Eden Hazard in the summer. I've been praising him in the media off and on since starting the save and have been doing my best to unsettle him when Lille have struggled. He's always reacted favourably to my comments and if we unload Di Maria, Damiao or even Menez (though I'm loathe to let him go as he's French), I think we'll test Lille with a big offer.

Last 4 league games to see how good our backups are and the UCL final when I get back home.

I really wanted to go unbeaten but our weakened team lost at home to Montpellier.

We did however pull off mission impossible by beating Barca 1-0 in the UCL final.

A dour first half ended 0-0 but we took the lead mid way through the second half when Valdes could only push out a shot from Damiao leaving former Madrid man Di Maria to slot into an empty net from a tight angle.

Amazed we won it, especially given the teams we had to beat but we did! :)

EDIT: I also rejected the offer to manage Chelsea immediately before the final. :D

I haven't no.

They are both set to 'much'.

Would lowering that make them pass more than shoot you think?

I would think it should. Set long shots to rarely and low Creative Freedom. Hold up Ball also helps; it helps keep plays from forcing a decison. I generally set ALL attackers and often midfielders to Hold up Ball. Giving other options like Run w Ball or PLay through Ball should reduce long shots.

If that doesn't help try setting one of your strikers as a Target Man (to feet, run on to ball, to head or mixed will depend on how you play and who TM is).

Slower tempo might help. I use classic tactics so I am not familiar with the shouts but I think there are shouts for play the ball into the box, or hold the ball...or something like that.

Of course there will always be long shots but I don't have too many.

Things will always happen in the transfer windows, I'm now in January 2015 and two players have left the club. First out was, as expected - Mauro Zárate, signed for Juventus £9.5M. And the second player to leave the club was, very unexpected... Kara! The board accepted offers from Manchester City and Real Madrid. He finally signed for Manchester City £14M.

I now have £43M to spend on players.

Well, I've finally got my laptop back and decided to make a Paris Saint-Germain save :D I know that the situation at Parc des Princes is very similar to that of Málaga's but, PSG offer many different traits to Liga BBVA's Málaga. The youth system in place at PSG, for example, is amongst the best in Europe, if not World Football.

It would be great to work this financial stability too; I'm not going to abuse the system and finance, I'm going to look to build a good, domestically-based squad which will challenge for the UEFA Champions League trophy within 3 seasons. Looking forward to this save. 'El Flaco', here I come!

Expect some regular updates from myself and good luck with your saves

What kind of players are you looking to sign? Don't forget the squad is good from the start and a tips from me is to learn players new positions. Gameiro for example. With some position training he can play on the right wing.

Last season I signed Paul Pogba from Manchester United on a free transfer. I assigned Lassana Diarra to tutoring him = his attributes  ...and 6 months later he was sold to Fiorentina for £7.5M. Great piece of business!

This season I had an arranged transfer, Benjamin Mendy from Le Havre signed on a free transfer in the summer. He was supposed to be a backup to Patrick Evra, but he has spent all his time here in the reserves and has been tutored by Patrick Evra = his attributes  (determination is 18). And I have recently received a bid from Sevilla for £7.5M in January 2015. Great piece of business once again.

I'm going to adopt a similar transfer policy to what I think you employ; I'll look to sign French players aswell as domestic players and some European talents. I'll also delve into the South American market from time-to-time too but, expect more of that when some regens begin to come through.

I'm expecting to sign some older French players, such as Patrice Evra and possibly Thierry Henry (Yes, I am a Arsenal fan) but, I'll also look to sign some of the young talent that France has to offer at the moment - Yann M'Vila, Marvin Martin, Raphael Varane and Francis Coquelin to name a few  I'll speak more in depth about it later though.

Little update on my save so far - maybe to wet your appetite? :D

Winning Ligue 1 will not be an easy feat, let me tell you that now. We see teams like Olympique Lyonnais, LOSC Lille, Montpellier and Marseille (maybe not too much in reality) posing formidable obstacles for a club like PSG to conquer although, I have complete confidence within myself and the squad to achieve that.

Just to let you know: 1) Yoann Fournier is not my real name, I thought it just sounded a typical French name bar Jean-Pierre. 2) I've decided to take my laptop back for another check on it's fan once again, I only got it back today after not having it since 2 weeks ago because, once again, I'm not satisfied that the fan is working. Usually, it makes a consistent 'whurly' noise but, that noise isn't coming from my laptop and, annoyingly, I can visibly see that the fan is not rotation yet, the computer man said 'there's nothing wrong with it to my knowledge'. Good Luck with your saves.

I decided to take a break in my long term Arsenal game and start a game with PSG. I used to always play a save as Lyon the re-emergance of PSG made me want to go with them this time round.

Had a pretty sucessful season. Winning the Ligue 1 after a long battle with Lyon, caiming the title on the penultimate of the season.

I also managed to lead the club to europa league glory, defeating Olymipiakos 4-0 in the final and beating Zenit, Tottenham, Napoli and Arsenal on the way.

my transfers - i was lucky with the chairman pumping a total of £42m in transfer funds extra throughout the seasonscreenshot20111213at014.png

Notable mentions have to go towards Gameiro, who was deadly in front of goal, and Menez and who produced not only assists but a good number of goals as well, but without a doubt my star player was NENE

Looking forward to the next season and Champions League.

Hoarau, Armand, Douchez, Erdinc, Bodmer and Mohammed Sissoko will hopefully be sold to make way for stronger reinforcements, and maybe Tiene as I have Abidal joining on a free.

I'm in negotiaions with Leandro Damaio and I would love to bring Hazard to the club, though I only have a transfer budget of £25M, £8M of which has gone on signing Kaboul permanently, can anyone suggest an attacking midfielder, preffrably one who could play on one of the flanks pending I give in trying to get hazard

Finally got the time to update the thread on my first season's performance. We won every competition we entered, pipping CSKA Moscow on penalties in the Europa League and beating Lyon on pens as well after a nil-nil draw in the French Cup final. We finished 20 points clear of Lyon in the league, and earlier beat Sochaux 2-1 in the League cup final.

Stand out performers continued to be Gameiro, Willian and Pastore, which meant my decision to bring in Anelka, Saviola, Sanogo and Fierro was something of a mistake as there's now way too much competition for the lone striker I employ, especially with Moussa Sow also performing well.

In close season I signed Marek Hamsik as competition for Marvin Martin in CM, and also splashed out on Subotic. The only signing French players thing was fun for a bit, but I saw these two players as suitable for breaking that rule for! I also brought in M'Bengue for 10M from Ajax, and Kaboul on loan, but don't think I'll be signing him permanently.

We've just finished the winter break, and are 6 points clear of OM, and 8 points clear of Lyon in the league, and into the knockout stage of the Champions' League. We're still in all the competitions we entered, which means this mights be an even better season than last year.

As expected, Anelka, Sanogo, Wilfried and Saviola are unhappy due to a lack of game time, but the last has been very helpful in tutoring Fierro so maybe it wasn't such a bad choice to sign them after all. I hope to give Sanogo some more game time in the second half of the season, especially as Sow picked up an injury playing for Senegal in the African Cup of Nations.

Malouda is coming on a free at the end of the season as competition for Willian and as a French star; I also want to bring in Cissokho for LB and Hazard, but don't think I really need to make any more major signings.

Just finished the first season, and have got pretty mixed feelings about it all.

We finished 2nd in the league, our last ten games were very disappointing and I think playing in four competitions took it out of what isn't the biggest squad in the end, especially with long-term injuries to Nene and Pastore towards the end of the season - However, it gives us something to work towards in the summer and we'll be looking to win the league next year.

League Table:

We also went out of the French Cup at the semi-final stage, after being 2-0 up away at Bordeaux the side decided they wanted to throw it away and we lost 3-2. However, in the Coupe De La Ligue we did much better, beating Lyon on penalties in the final on penalties.

EUROPA League Final:

Meaning we managed to win a European and Domestic double this season, which has probably kept me my job, but left me with work to do.

Squad:

I've only been given £17M to spend during the summer, too. Which is pretty annoying! Can I expect more at some stage or will I have to sell to buy? I've been thinking we could do with a creative deep-lying play maker or a very creative midfielder in the ilk of Lucas of Hamsik? What do you lot rekon?

@Jaynm: Hamsik's an expensive option, and he hasn't exactly been setting the world alight in his first season with me (my 2nd at PSG); Marvin Martin's been doing a far better job. It might be worth noting that in my experience Hamsik plays best when made playmaker in the team instructions, but I'm choosing Pastore at AMC for that role at the moment.

Cheers for that, signed Marvin Martin in the end. Also nabbed Balotelli on loan!

Can't go wrong with Martin. Fantastic player.

If you are still looking for that deep lying playmaker I would suggest position/preferred moves training for Chantome. He is a very good player who seems to get lost in the influx of big money signings.

If you are still in the market to buy a deep lying playmaker type and prefer French players, then take a look at Cabaye or Capoue.

Yes! I'm delighted to say that I will promptly be getting my PSG save up and running. I've made it but, have had to sideline FM and my laptop for the past day, and last week, as my laptop was being repaired. I took it to a man last week, who unjustifiably kept it for a week, who didn't even fix it. To be fair, IT isn't his strong point but, he's served me well before when my laptop picked up a hacking virus. So, I took it to a 'expert' today and he had fixed it within 4 hours, a build-up of dust within the fan was the problem :D

Anyway, looking forward to this save now. Loved reading through this thread and now I can be a part of this great thread. I will be running my Málaga save alongside so, this won't be my full-time save but, I'm hoping to build a great legacy at Parc Des Princes. Allez PSG!

It depends; if he still has a role to play at the club, keep him but, if you think that you could get a better player from the £20 million you acquired from Kagawa, sell him

I accepted it but he declined Madrid's contract offer- not often someone turns down a contract from Madrid!...

I finally won the Champions league with PSG! A Gameiro hat-trick in extra-time against Man City won us the cup and earned himself a place not only in the fan's hearts, but also in mine!

This year's summer signings were Sergio Berra, an 18-year-old Argentinian wonder kid in the same mould as Pastore, and Karim Benzema, a man I'm sure you're all aware of. Both have a large role to play in the club's future and I'm sure the PSG faithful will adore them!

On a side note, I've taken the England national team management post after Capello's retirement following an abysmal world-cup performance and I've inherited a largely talented side. Rooney, Wilshere, Rodwell, Jones and Co. WILL be European champions come 2016, but that's another story...
