jamesmbird Posted November 27, 2007 Share Posted November 27, 2007 I am using this tactic, its working well so far, I am peterbrough united, I have won the first four games, I have been lucky though because I asked for a parent club and got chelsea, thing is my defence is great, I am not conceeding the only minor problem is that I am not scoring many. jamesmbird Posted November 29, 2007 Share Posted November 29, 2007 are you still using the fiora tactic mate? there is a tactic called the best 4-4-2 on the forum, try that. I am not saying it is gonna work but, I am peterborough and after 38 games am top of the league, having conceeded 14 goals and well on the way to promotion, it may work but it is well worth a shot. Marcus_981 Posted December 3, 2007 Share Posted December 3, 2007 This tactic works well for me. Playing with the 8.0.1 patch and i'm in my second season with Leeds in Leauge 1. First match i won 7-2 away from home and my left striker Mifsud scored an unbelivable 6 goals! I'm on top of the table and haven't lost a game yet and i have only conceded 3 goals and have banged in 20+. The only tweak i make is that i lower the defensive line to 4 instead of the preset value. I always does this when the match has started. It seems to work so far. I'm playing with Huntington and Robinson (Millwall) and my GK is Preston Edwards also from Millwall. Languishing in the bottom half of the Swiss Super League in my 3rd season I thought I'd try it out. Had a 12 match unbeaten run and a 10 game run without conceding. Currently at the top of the Super League in season 4, although I do struggle with this tactic when I've not got the right forwards playing. Otherwise it suits me well. It's been a revelation in Europe also, got through to the group stages of the Euro cup in the last two years beating vastly superior teams. Thanks a lot. doubldragon Posted December 11, 2007 Share Posted December 11, 2007 Using 8.0.1 This tactic started out strong for my tottenham side, lifting us out of my early season hole, but down the stretch I just couldn't get my guys to play defense. I scored in bunches 3-5 goals in some games, and sometimes I could find the goal at all. Even when scoring 3-4 goals I drew 3-3, 4-4 a few times. I still use it situationally, but I've had to retire it from my everyday use. It did work great in cups and on the continent (FA semi and UEFA cup semi). I do tweek one or two of the individual sliders to better suit the players I have at my disposal however. This would apply with any tactic though. I've been delighted that even with a small club, my team is playing good football. My midfielders seem to hold the ball well and look for through balls, balls into space with with great effect. Very impressive and domineering performances, even in my lowest result, which was a 2-1 away win. Have scored 44 and conceded 7 in the process. For half a season I've been playing MacSolids tactic, and it worked out fine. But in january I started to get into trouble, wich very often is the situation for most tactics. I just changed into this tactic, and the results came immediately! So far I've played five matches and the results are : W: 4 D: 1 L: 0 Scoreline is 13-2. I am doing a lot better with this than without it and should gain promotion with it next season if it keeps producing the results it has been. Before I was just loitering around 15th-20th.
