Even when one of my midfielders gets suspended one comes back from injury, then when the suspension is served another midfielder gets injured. If you're playing a poor team and the you get the press response option of '??? are a team i really expect us to beat' and then set your team talk to 'I expect a victory today' , you will lose, guarentee. tbsn1fan Posted January 15, 2008 Share Posted January 15, 2008 hi guys im a massive pompey fan and so really theres no alternative to managing the blues, so im in the 2010/2011 season and ive done ok so far reached the champions league once i think and made it to europe every time other than that. THEN wins are just impossible whys that? kameni has been a god in goal and now looks like bloody kawaguchi. The board are offering me between 45 and 75 mil depending on my ambitions this year and currently have deals finalised for Goitom, Wynaldum, Caldwell, Thygesen and Cassani. I figure I need another central midfielder and have a 5 mil bid accepted by Spurs for Zokora, any other recomendations? Just started my third season and kept losing out on top keepers to bigger name opposition. The team currently looks like this Kirkland/Begovic Johnson/Abu Yahubu Konchesky/Taylor Woodgate/Reynolds Sankoh/Wilson Maduro/Diop Kuzmanovic/Zokora Muntari/De Zeeuw Utaka/Barnes Kranjcar/Wynaldum Goitom/Anichebe Managed to pick up a couple of bargains from relegated teams, Barnes cost 800k for example. Defoe is ridiculous - 1 million per game for 50 games???? 500k per international? Not to mention the 3 million they are paying in installments. Portsmouth became my first choice and hopefully I`ll have a good run with them. I changed two things in the editor. I`ve changed that Tottenham would receive 1 mill after 50 games instead of 1 mill after each game up to 50 games. I also stated that all the payments from the Lassane Diarra deal goes to Arsenal instead of Chelsea. I don`t think this is cheating and also official people from SI has supported this editor change. I currently want to bring in two new players, one left back and one left winger. I`ve really want to capture Jeremy Menez, this probably means that I have to settle with Hreidarsson as my left back. I probably also have to sell a couple of players to raise enough funds. Here Is a screen shoot of my current tactic and my first eleven (only nine for the moment) first team Hope more people will take up the challenge that Portsmouth represents.. olir01 Posted June 12, 2008 Share Posted June 12, 2008 Anyone doing well with Pompey on the new patch 8.0.02? I'm now in 2013, of the original players I still have Diarra and Defoe. If I can recommend one thing it is don't sell these pair. Diarra is now World-Class and every season averages 7.50. I'm just at christmas and he already has 16 assists for the season. I play 5 across the middle, 4 with forward runs and Diarra just sat in the middle, legend! That brings me on to my lone striker, Defoe! I should add that I also have Aguero, Saivet and Guilherme but none them get anywhere near the 1st team, Defoe is genius! He is now played a total of 179 league games and has scored 176 league goals. His lowest average rating for a season has been 7.70. He may not sound like the best lone striker but i've never known anyone as good. Apart from them pair Pompey are flying.
