dud S7 filters: 7-star training staff search filters

Ever wondered how to get an all 7-star training setup? Yes?

Well here it is: (taken from a post by 'Fedorico Roma Fan' on fmformation.net)

* Set Pieces - Tech 17, Ment/Attacking = 39+ Combined (eg 20+19, 20+20)

I suggest you don't try to get seven stars for your set pieces training. There are only a few coaches that can do that, motivating and level of discipline also counts.

GOD, how complicated does that look?? A bloody nightmare trying to find all those coaches with exactly the right attributes isn't it :(

Well, I've done the work for you boys!

download dud 7S Staff Search Filters

Instructions:

  1. Download .pft file from above and store in My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\filters
  2. In FM09, go to Search - Staff
  3. Click on Filter top-right corner, select Edit Filters
  4. Click Import
  5. Select dud 7S staff search filters

How it works:

There are certain training categories were only one coaching attribute has to be at least 18, these are:

  • Fitness
  • Physio
  • Goalkeeping
  • Tactics

Then there is four where it has to be one of the following relations between two different attributes:

  • First attribute 20, second at least 10
  • First attribute at least 19, second at least 14
  • Both attributes at least 18

These are:

  • Attacking
  • Defending
  • Shooting
  • Ball Control

Last, there is the mess that is Set Pieces, which has a relation between three different attributes. It's already explained in the quote, and you're better just settling for whatever you can get in this category. But have a look at the filters for it if you really want to find a coach :)

ATT: Getting seven stars in Set Pieces is very complicated compared to the other categories, I've tried to make it as accurate as possible. But there might be other factors that influences the stars or there might be other combinations of the three attributes that gives you seven stars

Do we actually need the 7* though?

A lot of people were saying it only depends on the training facilities the club has, and the stars only represent the amount of workload a coach can take..

good question. I'm sure there is an in depth thread about this somewhere.

Yep.

It looks to me that Motivation has been introduced into some of the training areas.

Fitness Coaching now has a Motivation requirement, having 20 for Fitness coaching, only having 8 for motivation gets you 4 stars, 13 gets you 5 stars.

Goalkeeping also has the same, with my ex 7 star keeping coach (20 for GK coaching) now only getting 4 stars because motivation is at 6.

It kinda sucks since high motivation is very rare.

Just so people know, these don't appear to work on 9.3. I've not tried it myself, but SI seems to have changed how coaches are weighted.

Anyone else, feel free to use my filters to build on something that works on 9.3
