newmanagergotrekt
Just wondering whether I shall assign a tutor for any wonderkid with professional personality Is professional the best personality you can have? Since professional players rarely complaint about the training level. Also you can convince them with their professionalism when they are unhappy. For my team now i dont have professional tutor for every position so I dont want to assign a 'resolute'/'fairly determined' tutor to those 'professional' wonderkids. Am I doing the right thing? yatamayanadam
I find something about this and i think you're doing the right thing. It says: "The personalities of the two players are a particularly important factor and so you should always look at the personality description for each of your prospective tutors and tutees. If a tutor has a personality attribute that is rated higher than that of the tutee then there will be a tendency for the tutee's rating for that attribute to increase. Conversely though, the opposite is also true and a tutee's personality can be made worse by a tutor with poorer personality attributes."
yonko
Professional personality gives you only high attribute in Professionalism. But the other important hidden attribute for player development is Ambition. In addition, I personally prefer players to also have a decent attribute in Pressure. If I'm not mistaken personalities that have high value in Ambition and/or Pressure are Driven, Resilient, Perfectionist and Model Citizen. You can also gage the Pressure attribute by the Media-Handling type. I believe you should look for Unflappable.
tyler16
Generally you wouldn't unless you know for a fact you have a better personality type available. Professional is good.
bowieinspace
You can always check the coach reports of the wonderkid and the potential tutor for potential weaknesses in either. If I wasn't sure, I wouldn't tutor them
HUNT3R
Normally I don't. I do try and tutor young players with 'bad' media handling descriptions like Volatile or Temperamental.
OrientTillIDie
I wouldn't. I only ever tutor youngsters with players who have higher determination and better personalities.
yonko
So are you guys saying that there is no better personality than Professional? Cause I would disagree.....
Cleon
Professional personality is OK but it's far from being useful or anywhere near the best kind of personality. It's not even in the top 10 of best. The best personality kinds are made up from several personality traits and not just 1. players personality is made up from hidden attributes; Adaptability Ambition Controversy Loyalty Pressure Professionalism Sportsmanship Temperament Sometimes some of the descriptions which will be described further down this post will also be made up of; Determination Influence You might also notice sometimes in a scout/coach report that they give you an indication of the other hideen attributes I've yet to mention. Not all the time mind you but sometimes you might come across them. They would be; Consistency Dirtiness Important Matches Injury Proneness Versatility Player personalities are a vital part of Football Manager and sometimes are overlooked by people but they can tell you quite a lot about the player and how he'll deal with certain things like team talks, chats, off the field events, on the field events and so on. Another big part of player personalities is the media handling, its quite clever and intricate how they all link and work. It's a lot to get your head around and very complicated so I'm just going to link you to two threads that go into detail and explain the workings out and how they all link together; http://community.sigames.com/showthr...Handling-Guide http://community.sigames.com/showthr...onal-youngster Smac as actually uploaded a spreadsheet in the second link above that makes it all easier to understand if someone wants to delve deeper into this side of the game. Since you mentioned the top 10 personalities, what personalities do you look for then? It all depends on what you are wanting, for example, if you focus on player development then the personality types you have must contain professionalism and ambition or it's kinda pointless because players are likely not to fulfill their potential.
