RedRock1986 Posted February 7, 2012 Share Posted February 7, 2012 Started a new save in Conf South and got knocked out of the Fa Cup in my first qualifying round. Then I got thinking... Any team can beat another team, this includes non-league teams v Premiership (although much unlikelier). Weezer Posted February 7, 2012 Share Posted February 7, 2012 I got to the FA Cup final in my first season with Sheffield Wednesday (League One). Managed to make it to the final without meeting a single Premier League team and even faced another League One team, Huddersfield, in the quarter finals. Tottenham caned me 4-1 in the final though. Cleon Posted February 7, 2012 Share Posted February 7, 2012 I've managed to win the FA Cup with Sheffield United in the first season. The FA cup draw was kind to me to begin with. In the 1st round I got Yeovil at home and won comfortably 4-0. In the 2nd round I got Brentford at home and won 1-0. Then in the third round I got Aldershot at home and won 4-0. Then things got interesting in the 4th round when I got drawn at home to Aston Villa who I managed to beat 4-3. Then I got Arsenal away who I beat 0-4 and in the Final I beat Blackburn 4-3. nine_iron Posted February 7, 2012 Share Posted February 7, 2012 I have taken Grimsby to the Semi Finals of the FA cup while in league 2 back on FM11, had a wonder strike force of Michael Mifsud and Kieran Agard. Backed up by a solid defence led by Sean McGinty and a hearty midfield led by Milan Lalkovic. It was the best team I had ever assembled ever on FM, I got some players on loan 3 years in a row. On the way I beat Chelsea 4-0 in the 4th round! Still to date the best save I have ever had, sadly got to the championship and got stuck, was there for 3 seasons before I eventually got relegated and then FM12 came out. We were in League 1 at the time and we only faced one Premier League team en route to the final. We faced Chelsea in the final and hung on for dear life at 0-0 before beating them on penalties. Made the final again when in League One only to lose to Arsenal, and made it again two seasons later when in the Prem, again losing to Arsenal. Beat United again in it the year after that. steve-0271 Posted February 8, 2012 Share Posted February 8, 2012 though this isnt a domestic cup, i just finished my first season with rangers and won champions league with some lucky decisions from referees. pens and red cards / off side.
