Anyone Else Lower Their Own Wages?

Got offered by Arsenal a new contract of £115,000 grand a week, and seeing as it ain't real money, gave myself £16750k instead to save on wages. Could of had only a pound lol. Thought that be a bit too unrealistic though.

I haven't lowered my wages, but seeing as it's pointless to have it I might as well put it as low as possible.

Comes in handy for signing players and their wages.

I've not paid attention to my own wages, in my opinion having a high wage is good for job security as they'll be reluctant to sack you quickly because of the compensation involved.

ive done this before, i have lowered my own wages while i was Stafford boss in FM10 they offered me 250 more than my current contract so i just left it at the original i was already getting

i always up my wages and years on contract for this exact reason. just gives you a few more games to turn things round when things are going bad

Works both ways though. If you're doing a crap job, you'll more than likely get booted anyway. Plus, they would know another manager wouldn't accept such a low wage.

I try and earn on par with the average player, can't have Hibbert earning more then me etc

I want to hire an agent to take care of my wages. I would be making a hell of a lot more + bonusses

I think it is unrealistic that you can do it so i always just try and get as much as i can. I know it means less for signing players etc, but as far as possible i like to try and pretend that i am actually a manager, and a manager's first concern will always be for themselves and their family, so i try and get what i can and work with whatever is left. I also think (but could be wrong) that it might slightly increase your reputation and so lead to you getting a better job quicker!

I like to play the game realistically. £1 manager wages is no different to cheating tbh.

I always try on to be on minimum wages. Saves money.

I do the complete opposite and negotiate my contract up. Being on no-wages isn't realistic and all. Might as well just use the editor and adjust your wage budgets if you're into that sort of play.

I'm doing well at the moment, so at the end of the season i shall be re-negotiating my contract. I'm only on a 2 year deal, and 17 grand a week is pitiful!!!

I agree with the cheating bit, taking a really low wage doesn't seem right to me

You need to wait until your contract is up for renewal.

I always try and negotiate the best wages possible as it just feels like the natural thing to do in contract negotiations.

I ended up with rather a lot on my FM10 game

I just except what they offer. Don't really care. SI have never said that it has an effect or not (Bad or good)
