Key Players Wanting a New Challenge??

Im Playing as Chelsea and after winning the champions league and premiership in second season, Ashley Cole, Mikel, Ivanovic, Cech, Bosingwa and Carvalho are all asking to leave wanting a new challenge. They were all very happy up until after the Champions League final, has this happened to anyone else? Did you sell them all? i have many clubs bidding for them all but this is a large number of players to sell at once.

i would sell anyone who wants to go. it would then be a new challenge for me as well.

Bet this wouldn't happen if Chelsea were the AI. Just like When R. Ferdinand would get tempted by Chelsea showing their interest in him if you were Manchester United manager.

I'd go with the offer new contract bit, it will most likely mean they'll forget about the new challenge until next year lol, then you'll have to do it again.

Had this happen my team for a while. I went about offering new contracts but then got bored of it.

I have not offered a new contract on this in years and they're still there and no transfer requests.

they keep rejecting my huge contract offers, they all want to leave, this is ridiculous, my only option is to sell if this carrys on, half my squad have unh now, and we won everything!!

Just leave it for a while. If they won't accept now they probably will in the next transfer window.

If they want a "new challenge" retrain them as GK and put them between the sticks for the reserve 11. Bloody nancy-boys.

how are your finances looking on that with chelsea i always go bankrupt with the huge loans on it and the same from united, just wondered how yours look or anyone else who has gone chelsea. i ususally sell and rebuild with younger players when they are unhappy like that

As some others have said just wait it out. I think sometimes people can get overly worried about a quite cosmetic issue. In my last game as Spurs, after a few weeks of starting the first season, Modric said he wanted to move to a bigger club, I didnt offer him a new contract, and continued to play him. His performances didn't suffer (in fact he was probably our best player), and by December the comment had dissapeared and he was "enjoying playing for the club".

my finances are fine so far, were rich and i keep getting decent budgets. Whats annoying is i want to build on this squad, not sell them all, even essien now wants a new challenge!! Has this happened to any1 else, what did you do?

i think it is too late to renew contrats. you must sell them all immediately to earn money.

or you can wait until their contrats expire.

if you do not want to come across this stuation again , try to renew contrats at least 2 year before the expiration date.

this is the only solution.

id sell them asap, (but to teams outside your league) get as much money as you can for a bunch of players who are getting stagnant at your club, bring in fresh blood and improve

Sell the oap's and build a new team to win everything.

Yeh just flog them off and then buy in new players. Not that big of a deal.
