451 with Raumdeuters and Roaming Playmaker (102 pts with Liverpool, 81 with Norwich)

Hi, this is my first tactic good enough to make it public. I tried to use roles you don't see very often like Raumdeuters and Roaming Playmaker.

Tested on teams such as Liverpool, Preston (media prediction 13), Rochdale (media prediction 19), Swindon (media prediction 5) and Norwich (media prediction 20)

I still use version 4, we just beat Liverpool 5:1 with 9 CCC. I just added Tackler Harder and Mark Tighter on AML and BBM (this version is now in edited first post)

it's a pity that this test with Wolves has not been carried on for 2-3 seasons to see how the tactic works on the long terms

Started a game with Villa and things weren't going great with the board gaving me a month to improve things, decided to give this a go and the results were instant.

Really surprised at how well its done, this is with the basic (updated) Villa team, no transfers made.

This thread came along at just the right time for me!  I was testing versions of a 4-5-1 with an RPM, and i was looking for a good mix of roles for the other positions. This is working beautifully for me. I see that you changed the AF to an F9, but the Af is still working well for me. The PI you have that worked well was adding dribble more to the ramdeuters.

One change I was considering was changing one of the RD to an IW-S. I have a wing with 19 dribbling and 20 vision who I thought could benefit from receiving the ball a little deeper and wider, running at the defense. Does that make sense?

Also, I noticed a couple of interesting features. First, it seems like the lower is my possession, the more goals I score. Also, there is an interesting average position with the ball. This pushes some serious numbers forward. Maybe it's because the buildup is a little faster, and we spend less time in possession in our own end.

Also, if you really want to up the ante with the lesser used roles, a segundo volante doesn't work too badly in place of the BBM.

Finished the season and quite amazingly we made the Europa League on the final day, here's my usual line up and my one and only signing during the January window. I have made one change to it and that was to untick the 'get stuck in' as was getting far too many red cards.

Hey man, great effort for your first published tactic. I fancied a change to the 442 I played last season where I won the FA cup and 2nd consecutive champions league because I felt the my squad was better suited to your style of formation.

 

Great first impression! As you can see from the results I have been winning pretty much every game and only lost 1 random champions league game where Porto battered me for some reason. 

Goals have come from a variety of positions but finding that my strikers aren't as prolific as I would like. I have changed the full back PI to shoot less often as my FBs where constantly shooting even when players are in better positions, so I will see how that affects things.

Really impressed so far, I'll report back with progress

Very solid tactic, a lot of ccc and nice football. RMDs are the key players. 

In my last game i got dine by Palace and by their rapid players (Zaha as Amr and Martinelli) as striker). Any advice? I have tried to lower the dline and to Man mark their playmaker with my striker but it did not work.

@Cwieku what about the corner and throw in routines, did they bring goals? It seems to me that corner are mostly cleared by oppo's difenders and throw ins end in goalkeepers hands.

I used the modified set pieces setup from Cadoni's Oedipus II tactic and I had no problem scoring goals from corners. You can delete all 3 corners on left and right and use this instead 478805687_ChrissysSetPieces.fmf

I love the idea of useing the underused roles

I do question the use of two playmakerss though as i was under the impression that was always a no no?

I always wanted to do an assymetrical tactic with a libero , a rd sort of like a wide poacher to a target man and winger on the oppisite flank but i'm no good at actualy geting my ideas to work :P
