nabildx Posted April 5, 2020 Share Posted April 5, 2020 (edited) Continental club competitions at regional level for clubs in Europe UEFA Regional Club Cup (URCC) There will be the new UEFA Conference League, the tertiary level continental club competition in Europe after the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. So I’ve decided to add the UEFA Regional Club Cup (URCC) which consist of four competitions for four regions of Europe : Central, East, South and North and they will be the bottom level continental club competition in Europe. The competitions are : URCC Central : For clubs from the Central European nations URCC East : For clubs from the Eastern European nations URCC North : For clubs from the Northern European nations including the Scandinavian nations and UK & Ireland URCC South : For clubs from the Southern European nations including the Balkan nations The next best placed clubs that did not qualify for the top UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League qualify for these competitions. The format of each competitions is a group stage of 16 teams followed by knockout rounds with reasonable prize money. Some competitions allow more than one team to qualify which is given to leagues with higher reputation (next best placed teams). UEFA Europa Shield The winners of the four URCCs and UEFA Conference League qualify for the UEFA Europa Shield which will be held at neutral venues in July and August every year. Notes : - The nations are grouped in the region geographically and to ensure that the number of nations in each region is balance The qualification places are sorted based on the divisions’ reputation in the default database. The reputation changes every year by default so leagues ranking are dynamic which means the qualification places of a nation could be changed each year. Clubs from the top 5 leagues with the highest reputation will not qualify for URCC as there are already a lot of qualification places in the top three UEFA club competitions for these nations. By default, the top 5 nations are Spain, England, Germany, Italy & France. However, the ranking could change because as previously mentioned, the qualification places are sorted based on the leagues’ reputation. In the pre-game editor, I add hidden league stages and in the general options you can choose the option to sort teams based on division's reputation. I used advanced rules of course. If you want to do that, you have to remake all the UEFA club competitions (Champions, Europa & Conference League) in addition to the competitions that I've made so it's more complicated. Besides, that's my initial idea, to move the eliminated teams from the upper level club competitons to the regional competitions, just like what I've done in my other continents' club competitons. But i don't want to touch the existing UEFA club competitions as their format is already perfect as it is. 2 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
