Great Job Staying up...hopefully you get lucky!

It wasn't to be

but there is consolation in the fact that Barnsley secured automatic promotion by beating us, and the other results meant that even a win wouldn't have been enough. Over the moon with this final league position though :)

top half finish definitely not to be sniffed at !

Absolutely. Since arriving at Argyle, I've hardly spent anything, relying on loans and free transfers, and we have the lowest wage budget in the Championship, so I'm delighted with that as a first season. It's going to be very difficult to improve on that, but I'm going to give it a shot

Do you reckon you can take them up? Probably not this time but at least soon enough?

It's not going to be easy, but I think it's possible in a couple of seasons or so, as long as I keep my best players or at least replace them with the same quality players

Brilliant January

and we've improved our league position as a result

which was enough to win me the Manager of the Month award

One in and two out since the last transfer update

and I'm delighted to get this fella in on loan. What a recommendation from my scouts :)

April was a frustrating month. We trailed twice against Bolton, were woeful at Norwich, trailed against Middlesbrough, and blew 2-0 leads against Ipswich and Fulham

which has cost us a top half finish, and might help Norwich avoid relegation, as they play Brentford at home. We will also have another say in the relegation fight, as we play away at Bristol City

Great job on staying up again!

How long do you think it'll be before you can put forward a promotion push?

Thanks mate. After this season, I'm thinking never. We are so far off in terms of transfer and wage budget, I think we massively overachieved last season, and this season is a more realistic reflection. I've not set any targets in terms of what has to be achieved, and I think two successive promotions, plus keeping Argyle in the Championship, means that if Exeter City will ever have me, or Tiverton get into National League South, I'll have to move on. The challenge will be completed once I've managed to win something with all three / four
