Sankt Pauli: It Doesn't Matter If You're a Prinz or a Prinzess

The Prinz of fraudulence is running away with it without even a funky formation or overpowered newgen superstars!

I do love a German Nigerian defender though (have managed them both for Nigeria and Akpoguma in the Bundesliga). Having all that pace to burn makes figuring out to how to deal with opposition counters so much less painful.

Haha, no just a team of battlers . Yes Felix and Kevin have been class - would be great if Udo could get into the Germany team but if not would love to see him don the Nigeria shirt too. Iorfa has been good as well - just need to swap out Ghanaian Schlupp for a Nigerian left back :p.

What about Stani, Andre Golke or Klaus Thomforde?

Would be great if they would join your staff! They are true St. Pauli Legends.

Wilkommen!

Unfortunately Stani and Golke aren't in the game as backroom staff. Thomforde is with Germany U21s and not interested in joining us yet. I've got Zlatan Bajramovic in as U19s manager though

Think they missed a zero off that! Surely he'd already be one of their best players in competitions that allowed them to start 16 year olds

As they were in an unplayable league he was already getting league games for them - unfortunately we'll have to wait til next season until he's allowed to play.

Another two quality players for the future, Ziegler could make it too!

That's a mighty fine beard for a 15 year old

I really like the look of Maxi - definitely a shoe in for the DLP DM role!

A very good starting skill-base, let's hope he can develop well.

January - March 2021 Update

Results

28c3c097ecd2781a1471c61b058b7944.png

The unbeaten run came to an end to last years champions Wolfsburg, but we're still in great form. We had a trio of outstanding results - Porto, Bayern, Gladbach - albeit sandwiched by losses with a particular disappointment losing our winning home streak to Hoffenheim.

Table

b277a20168c969b0f78adaf1f2dd97ee.png

6 games left and we're 11 points clear

Fixtures

cd1894ad07ca22ae64c765e3c989f8c0.png

We've got a nice 3 week break until we face Real Madrid so we can be fully fit and prepped. It's a huge fixture, as is the Hamburg derby!

Prinz is proving that second season syndrome is just something that happens to other people, you're absolutely walking the league!

Emmerich looks like quite the find too; look at those physicals, at only 16 too!

Let's hope she doesn't create the term 3rd season syndrome  - Wolfsburg are certainly have 2nd season syndrome after their title win, while Bayern have been dross but will their fortunes change:

We managed to hold on to a 1-1 draw at the Bernebeu to clinch a place in the semi-final!

We're the only non-English club left and City vs Utd was last years' final. And we face....

The toughest tie, Ancelotti's City!

Our 2nd string lost 3-0 at home to Leverkusen but we're still 8 points clear with 5 games left. Bayern and Gladbach aren't officially out of the title race on 55 points, but form side Dortmund are our closest challengers.

Its that time again...

A thumping win against Augsburg gives us a lift.

A 4-0 loss in Manchester gives us very little chance of going through to the final, we were always going to struggle against City with 10 men.

Here's the table going into the Hamburg game. A win puts the pressure on Dortmund when they face Freiburg on Sunday.

Well that was hardly a classic  - we've still never lost to HSV though

Dortmund hit 5 first half goals to move within 3 points of us with 2 games to go. Eek!

The chances of going through were extremely thin in the first place, but Jesus' goal killed all our chances. A decent performance though which will help kick us on to face the already relegated Aue at home.

PS - it's going to be an all Manchester final, a repeat of last season, being played at the London Stadium.

I would say it was a fairytale season, though I'm not sure our fans would like that phrase :brock:

Player Awards

104c1fb3c37b3aacdce7665be5a874fe.png

A bit of a surprise in the player of the season - right back Dom Iorfa! Double the percentage of top scorer Poulsen, though he did have the best average rating in the team so well deserved Dom  Also great to see Wittek as 3rd place, he firmed the left back spot ahead of big signing Schlupp with some fantastic performances.

Player Stats

5a54d4b1ec20c286ff9aa231f50a089e.png

A lot more rotation this season, as expected with a lot more games. Uduokhai and Akpoguma played a lot of games together in the heart of a solid defence, with Meffert just in front of them.

Mystery Keeper...

78a6cd66a7f3c9b8e9a0f3f437540fd8.png

I forgot to mention that I signed a new keeper on 26th Jan . Pollersbeck is another signing from RBL for a meager £1.5m, a bargain for a good sweeper keeper. Love how well he sweeps off his line!

Bundesliga

e442046d7da815a05bbc50aa169f998a.png

A pathetic Bayern even missed out on Champions League football. They've got such a strong squad on paper it's surely only going to be a matter of time before they kick back into a rhythm and push for the title. Great to see Hamburg just miss out on Europe too :p - as well as Frankfurt stay up!

2. Bundesliga

13fbd28b793cebe014341b7e3fc0a58f.png

Mainz walked the 2nd tier and came up at the first time of asking, whilst Koln finally made it back up after 3 seasons of being the favourites.

DFB-Pokal

f0690d72855f286fb15a567f2cc2f4b9.png

More failure for Bayern, much rather see the cup go to Dortmund though I'd really like to do better in it next season!

Champions League

01b8b5aa322a71fe7464d4528a9d2217.png

Our amazing run to the semi's was a joy to behold - Man City won it for the 2nd season in a row as well as winning the Premier League.

Europa League

3986ab6e826c4e61f6d5e22986e8ca53.png

No German sides got to the final 4, Milan made another final and it was almost an all Milan final but Chelsea overcame both sides to win the EL.

£26.5m budget to sign players and a huge wage budget increase after asking for one! We're in a great financial state.

Facilities

We're heading towards facilities that compare with the best in the world :)

Confession time - unfortunately I've lost interest in this save :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

If I'm being honest, it's all a bit too easy and since I've spent multi-millions on a high quality team I'm not feeling the connection with the team anymore. I was expecting a long and grueling challenge taking them to the top which would have been much more fitting with St Pauli. On this note, I'm abandoning the save, but I will be back with a new one :brock:

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed the short ride.

:ackter:
