Tried to set less attacking mentality a few times but not in the season screenshots below. Not sure when or how well less attacking mentalities work. Outscoring by attacking works so far. One way to test it I suppose, is to go with attacking as long as it works, and vs the kind of matches or top teams attacking doesen't work, you could try controlling or counter mentality. This year, i used ¬FM18.3.3KnapARGUS343VOL4P102ALLCUPS.fmf on 18.3.3, but there are one big problems which is my player gets injury easily even i mostly plays them once per week and the training intensity is medium (already give rest on pre and after match), but my medical center always reports a lots of players have high injury potential due to the tactics intensity, how can i do without changing the tactics as i love it so much! (i am using Arsenal) And also i found out that both IWB like to long shoots but as you knows IWB have poor shooting, can i add an instruction to them which is try not to shoot, will it affect the total tactics? knap Posted September 18, 2018 Author Share Posted September 18, 2018 Last season with Arsenal I did was with GOODBYE Tactic but high intensity. Maybe a few more injuries but only 3 at end. I tend to view injuries as natural rotation so I don't change and I would say the Medical centre is just scaremongering. Are you using AM for training? My own view is that current football is about Fitness, high closing down and high intensity so I would not ne overly concerned. Long shots tends to be a breakdown in tactic options so I doubt changing PI will make a lot of difference either way. I decided I wanted to try a different tactic for my away games, so I came across this one. I liked the fact that I could keep Arnautovic in the side despite there being no wingers. Unfortunately I may not be able to use it now until at the very least January because Hernandez and Cutrone just got injured in the same match, Cutrone broke his leg and Hernandez broke his collarbone... I bought a very promising 16 year old striker in the summer, so I may give it a go with him, Lanzini and Arnautovic, but I can't see it working well. Pilgrimage has edge on sub top test and ARGUS the edge for underdog. In theory GOODBYE Very Fluid should be better for top dogs. WOF sits in middle with a Flexible system. I only bought defender Wallace form Lazio and goalkeeper Horn from Koln as a backup. Started playing ARGUS WHITE EUROPE 343 as thought to better suit wingers Spurs have. Started good, but latter found it weak playing away to top teams or hard to score against defensive underdogs as IFs and AF were to wide apart. After 1/3 of the season and already 3 losses and heavy defeat against Man City away 4:1, I switched to FM18.3.3KnapPILGRIMAGE343LPOOLP104 for home and away games where I was favourite. For tougher home and away games I used FM18.2.2KnapARGUS343P102. If i were one man down, I used FM18.2.2KnapASH343HSP101SHORTP101SUS. At around half the season 3 of my top players wanted to join top clubs RM, PSG, Man City (Kane, Eriksen, Wanyama) and there was only one thing that could persuade them to stay, and that was my promise to win the CL. Towards the last third of the season, I mainly played FM18.2.2KnapARGUS343P102 for all games and it was strong for tough games against top teams like RM, Bayern … also rotated the squad less than I use to as the stakes were higher, but had some injuries as a result. The most important thing this year is DYNAMICS. Sometimes my AM handled the talks. But mostly I handled it myself. For good games I praised my team PASSIONATELY, for really bad games I criticized them AGGRESSIVELY. Left training to AM. Skipped pre-match tactical briefings. It would be challenging to continue into season 2 as the board now has top expectations, Spurs have a huge debt, players value increased and they want bigger wages, so it will be a great challenge to keep them, as top clubs will most likely come in with a bid. I tried lower league teams like Chester, Portsmouth, Maribor, Rudar Velenje, Gorica, Domzale with a great and gradual success, overachieving. Also tried underdog Philadelphia Union (MLS). Quite a challenge, due to their rules, but now I finally understand MLS. Won all first season. Played second season, won almost all, lost in final to Atlanta Utd. Tried subtop teams Roma, Milan, Dortmund, Tottenham. And top teams Real Madrid and Bayern. I posted Spurs results because I was really happy with winning quadruple, which I didn't even expect. Secondly, posted some tips I followed that might help someone. Also showing that Spurs can play 3 strikers with wingers even though they have only one real striker - Kane. However, the key element is using players like Moura as strikers and not just look a t roles a player is pigeon holed by the game. Chief Scout Posted October 4, 2018 Share Posted October 4, 2018 In my experience anything less than attacking mentality has proven to be a signal for opposition to get back into the game. It's like you invite them to attack, and you decide to defend in front of your goal. Even playing defensive or contain (SUS) you concede at least a goal yet you get almost zero chance to score. Ultra defensive (SUS) is a way maybe for second playoffs game, when you have at least 2+ goal difference form previous game. It is Dafuge challenge rules, so holiday 1st season and then pick a promoted side, Sunday League rep and attribute masking. Currently playing AS Monaco, Scenario: sell all players whom I don't need, also some good players for profit, buy good unhappy players for good bargain (Kimmich in my case) or good cheap players which will develop, also keeping low wage budget, include my best youth players (4 HGC - CL purpose). Main goal: overachieve with ARGUS but not with superstar squad, make profit: currently 300 mil finance; 256 mil transfer budget, 830k p/w left for wages. 2nd season. I only use Key highlights so seldom bother changing the tactic, but easy tackling can help. This is team which shows I still do not have many green roles.
