FM17 - USA & CANADA Fantasy League Split (7 Tier/4 Tier) - NHL / NBA / NFL / MLB

All NHL / NBA / NFL / MLB Franchises added to the USA & CANADA
(inc. new MLS Franchises (LA/Miami) and the Vegas Golden Warriors)

USA Info in BLUE / CANADA Info in Red / BLACK=BOTH

SETTING UP A GAME
All 3 files MUST be loadad
1) Make sure you tick - 'add players to playable teams'
2) Make sure you un-tick - 'Do not add Key Staff'
3) Using the advanced rules to add all Canadian and US players is advised

NATION INFO
Season dates - Are inline with the European League. (10th Aug - 15th May)

Season End Date - 20th June

Season rules - as per England - No draft, No Designated player etc.
Canadian Players are no longer classed as Foreign in USA
Both have been slightly boosted in youth rating/nation terms to match England (USA) /Scotland (Canada)

TEAM INFO
All created teams should have the correct 
Name - City - Stadium - Nickname  - Some Clubs Legends - Derby Matches - Rivalries - Feeder Team
All teams are Main Squad & u23's (All B/II/Reserve/teams are now extinct)

DIVISION LAYOUT / REP / MONEY

NOTE:
Level 8 is made up of the 'Academy and Soccer School teams'  Signing age limit <18 yr old.  - This level is playable but not sure how it pans out, for those who wanna be an Under 18's coach.  League rules are as the olympics under 3 over 24 players in the match side.

CUPS

Super Bowl - NFL Teams only - Groups into Knockout style cup
Stanley Cup - NHL Teams only - Groups into Knockout style cup
World Series - MLB Teams only - Groups into Knockout style cup
NBA Finals - NBA Teams only - Groups into Knockout style cup
MLS CUP - MLS Teams only Groups into a Knockout style cup
US Open Cup - All USA teams in an FA Cup style knockout Main teams are fed into the draw at later stages.

Open Canada Cup - All Canada teams in an FA Cup style knockout Main teams are fed into the draw at later stages.

Tier 6-8 will have a CUP & ACADEMY Division also have their own knockout cups.

The advanced allows for correct fixture rules etc, runs fine in game just wont verify in the editors ignore the blank division drop down.

Any info you can give only fixture pile up / International clashes etc will be very helpful.

Yeah - all cups are done bar the MLS/PDL/Academy ones at the min (i've updated the text, i had MLB in twice).

To Do List:

1) Competitions - MLS Cup / Non League Cup / Academy Cup

2) Maybe add a preseason "Supporters Cup" of the previous seasons Cup winners (x6) / ASL Premier / and a wildcard (random team).  

    Straight knockout (8 teams). "Quarter/Semi/Final 3 games over one week."

3) Awards 

4) Graphics - are done i just need to check they all lineup, and have no errors.

Shouldnt  take to long.

I was have a mare with the CONCACAF Cup with the new Canadian teams so i've split this into two files.

It'll be a 7/8 tier USA & 4 tier Canada, with an extended CONCACAF Cup Competition.

Leagues / Teams / CONCACAF have been tested to 2020 with no issues, last night.  So just rebuilding the cups today.

I didnt add any players, just franchises and coaches :)   Might make a few though... maybe? lol.

Current testing - Season 2, Dallas Cowboys promoted to the MLS.. immediately blow £70million on Julian Brandt (still the league record transfer) and bag the MLS title on the first try... 

Best XI for them at 2020 season start is

Version 4 of the USA database added:- (post#2)

  • MLS CUP added - all original soccer teams add to their own cup to balance out not being in the superbowl/stanley cup etc
  • Lamar Hunt Pioneer Cup added for the tier 8 academy sides
  • Atlantic Cup added for Tier 6/7/8 teams.

Fixture rules also added (slight variations occur in some lower leagues).

  • Squad limit 25
  • >5 HG Club players
  • >10 HG National players
  • <5 Loan limit

In NHL have Goalkeeper, Top D man, Captain, Highest Paid not including Goalie, Captain and D man and top prospect

In NFL Quaterback, Wide Receiver, Running Back Highest Paid, 1st daft pick

Nice, i'll see what time and how bored i am over xmas. 

Post #2 updated with new files.  

  • Season tickets & ticket prices amended,
  • Some fixture rules, added 
  • Dallas Cowboys pulled in a bit, as they are a bit OP in testing

Post #2 updated with final files.

  • All clubs have now been given a correct city (as far as i can find).
  • Some affiliate rules between clubs were preventing promotions, these have been removed
  • A graphics pack for the Trophies has been added (Superbowl, Stanley Cup etc).
  • The CONCACAF Cup wasn't adding the history automatically (hopefully rectified).  It was adding it to the pages in the background.
  • Files were tested to 2031. 

NOTE:

America
  • Most League Winners - Kansas City Chiefs (9 Titles) - only 4 by more than 9 points
  • CONCACAF Champions League - Kansas City Chiefs & Tigres (3 titles)
  • Kansas City Chiefs also picked up 1 FIFA CWC beating Tottenham, and losing a final to Man United.
  • Transfer records
MLS (Tier 1)  = 51 million (2021/22)
NASL (Tier 2) = 32.5 million (2019/20)
USL (Tier 3) = 41 million (2026/27)
  • US Open Cup - had 11 different winners, no club more than twice (LA Kings)
  • USA National - Ranked 3rd (Star Striker regen playing for Man United @ 47mil) - Managed by Ben McAdoo
Canada
  • Most League Winners - Montreal Canadians (7 Titles)
  • CONCACAF Champions League - Montreal Canadians (2 Titles)

Would you be interested in doing it as a seperate thing? :) That way there could be added a bunch of other promotions like New Japan, Lucha Underground, and so on. And maybe even add UFC to the mix.

Nope.  I'm done creating this year i think.  Have a go yourself, its pretty simple.

I was gonna put this up on steam as well, but by god what a pain.

USA v7 & CANADA v5 & CONCACAF v2 - uploaded to #post 2

  • Canadian teams status (pro/semi pro) correct & upgraded where needed
  • Canadian reps & money amended according to Division level
  • Fixture Rules for USA & Canada amended.  AI team were leaving out all foreign players regardless of quality.
  • Under 21 players now always eligible to play
  • CONCACAF Rep & Cash boosted, and winners are now being recorded on the comp. page.
  • Team given cash bonus if u21 domestic players hit a league appearance goal of 20 league games

Yeah I guess it's pretty simple if you know how :p I've never done anything in editor besides the besic stuff like transfers, adding players and teams, etc. I've never added a new nation or anything like that.

There you go, you can create the teams.  adding them to a league is just as simple.  you pick it under competitions

Well I meant that I haven't tried creating a league with a structure etc before. But I've watched a couple of "how to" videos now, and yeah it seems simple :)

Works in the same way.  but with a 1st & 2nd round qualifier for the lower seeds.

finally playing a save myself - seems to have balanced out.

Looks like no one dominated out the blocks in div 1. for once. (Cowboys usually smash it in testing)

Colts won the Superbowl
Ducks - Stanley Cup
San Fran Giants - World Series
Lakers - NBA Final

Most teams spend 20mil ish at game start.

Just make sure you tick, add players to playable teams at game start. it will populate squads
