Think it's time to cut them loose and let them go. I mean I could continue and force the 1,000 games out of them, but their ability is basically a handicap on the rest of my team. I also have a couple of other players who got a lot closer to 1,000 games than I thought they would, so I'll add them to my list once they retire. You never know, if they hang around long enough they may turn up when they retire. I've also crossed Radojewski off the list as, despite being fit for most of the season, he was only able to make 29 appearances. That's just not enough so I'm not wasting any more time on him. He'll still hang around, of course, but he'll probably be rotational. I've only ever had one 1,000+ player, Zakhar Sidelnikov, but plan to do an Arsenal save revolving around youth again this year which should facilitate plenty of players with 1,000+ games. When he stops doing that, put him on the bench and use him as your third substitute in the 89th minute of very game until he gets fed up with it and retires... So I had a player who was going to retire just after the first league game in mid-July (the Danish season starts very early). I played him in that game - and suddenly his retirement date was a month later. This happened a couple of times and he ended up retiring in September or October instead. It's partly because some of the players are very raw, but there's enough experience in the side to do well. Are you letting the assistant pick the team or are you doing it yourself? leonavich Posted October 22, 2015 Share Posted October 22, 2015 Niccolo Morra (38) - 986 Only manages 28 games last year as he suffered a long stint on the sidelines, but the fighter decided to play on, even signing a new contract for two more years to take him until he is 40. He only needs 14 more, which he should get this season bar any serious injury or performance drop, but he actually picked up last season, getting back above the 7.00 average mark in the league. He is currently on 1026 club matches through his career, all of which have been at San Marino. leonavich Posted October 29, 2015 Share Posted October 29, 2015 Morra, at the age of 39 has.... NOT retired, but rather scored his 200th league goal in a stunning double to claim a win. At 39 years of age, he is still banging them in, and currently has 1 assist and 2 goals in his opening 2 league matches. The man is a legend. Over 1000 appearances, over 260 total goals and just under 400 assists. Some how overlooked for Italy, and only capped twice, he has been playing in San Marino for 24 years, long enough to earn the right to be a citizen (assuming he married a Sammarenese lady 9 years into his career, or if he plays for 6 mores years, to be in the country for 3 decades), and I would most certainly have him in our Sammarinese national team if I could!
