  1. They’ve both been really good. Rashford was the most logical choice against Kounde though. By a distance.
  2. Walker was alright, it was certainly amazing to see him being beaten for pace. Mbappe seemed comfortable to run at him though whenever Henderson or Saka wasn't around, which was very rarely. I'm not sure why Foden started instead of Rashford, to be fair. We knew that Kounde sucks against direct, pacey players. Rashford would have torn him a new one.
  3. Bruno Fernandes had been up there with Messi and Mbappe until yesterday. But yeah, it's between those 2 now.
  4. Happy with quarters, didn't even realise I had to put an 11 out for the first 7/8 picks, I just thought it was some twist on fantasy football.
  5. Sorry mate, just saw this. Considering the expectation, they'd restricted France to one long shot whereas England had a blatant pen and Kane through on goal by this point. Decent going, if a bit conservative! Anyway, that was then. Very unlucky I think, players can hold their heads high.
  6. Thank goodness for that. Kane had Upamecano in his pocket. Him and Henderson were really driving England forward. Credit where it's due, England were very dominant tonight. As a team, they really kept Dembele and Mbappe limited to sporadic possesion
  7. Why tf is Upamecano playing, Saliba or Konate are far better
  8. England playing fantastic, France attackers can't get the ball...Goal aside, Southgate has got his game plan spot on
  9. My goodness Antony looks sharp. He needs to get the ball closer to the goal, although Croatia's midfield are doing a wonderful job.
  10. White always strikes me as having a great attitude, there's definitely a lot of missing info
  11. Can't help but think he'd have had atleast a couple against Switzerland. I think there's a good chance he'll start the next game.
  12. I rate Shaw when he's fit, I don't see much difference. The real worry is that if he comes up against McGuire at any point.
  13. Seen a lot of unhappy Argentina fans about Lahoz getting their game
  14. No wonder! [Private message to fxbghdfn] Alright mate, you selling any of Raheems stuff or is it all gone? [/Private message to fxbghdfn]
  15. I think Walker will turn up with his mind set on neutralising Mbappe 1v1 because of the hype, and he could do. As long as he does the usual and ignores the other parts of defending, i'll be happy.
  16. That's true, only as strong as your weakest and France have a real weakness at RB with Kounde.
  17. Apart from right back, their defence is much better. England just happen to have 4 of the worlds best right backs I think Mbappe will have that subdued game due to Southgates tactics...I also think he's probably used up a lot of xG karma in the last game, so like you said, he's due a couple of misses!
  18. I'd love Japan to win this, what a fantastic achievement that would be
  19. Huge, huge game. England have a real chance if they can get France to overcommit and then hit them on the break with pace. England midfield are gonna be busy. I think 2-1 France.
  20. I feel like that's a false narrative because, 1. Wasn't he half fit? 2. he put all his eggs into the sprints and roughly came out on top, but what he did with the ball and being in position was not a priority that night; they almost scored multiple times from his position or from him giving it away. The last minute implosion was just ridiculous. He needs to start against Mbappe though, as much as I think that Trippier is better defensively, Walker is the only one who can keep up with him when Mbappe knocks it past you. The only problem may be that France will play higher up in Englands territory than Senegal did, so if Mbappe does to Walker even once, what Sarr did 3/4 times yesterday, it could be game over. I think it'll be a tight, cagey match though. Henderson and Walker should be enough to cover Mbappe with Rice blocking 1-2's. We forget that Dembele is an absolute player too. I do think Shaw and Walker are good enough though when they put their mind to it and when put in a defensive system. Bellingham is gonna go to the very top, I hope to god City don't get him. Last thing we need is another KdB.
  21. Mixed bag aren't they. So impressive in how they hustle and don't give their opponents anything, but they're so blunt when they can't get the ball to Messi. I don't see them winning, I can think of quite a few other teams with a better set of players.
