  1. Yeah, I just can't be bothered building it again, I just want to receive something and start using it straight away. So what would your recommendation be? It seems Fifa 23 is pretty easy to run on PC. People saying a RTX 3070 can run it at 4K Ultra. Obviously I want a powerful CPU for FM though too. I'll be honest in saying the systems I was looking at were £4000+, I'm happy to cut that in half though now, after you made some good points. After thinking about it, it makes more sense to buy twice at £2000 than buy twice or even once at £4000 imo. The current site I'm looking at is Cyberpower UK. I have checked a few others but these look one of the best. They do cost more than PCSpecialist but they are more flexible atm in terms of delivery options.
  2. It was 4 years ago I built my PC, I went for a i9 9900k and GTX 1660. The GTX 1660 was because I didn't play any other game on PC, but I thought it would last a while for FM, which it has and tbh probably could still last another few years, but because I now want to play something else on PC I'm looking for something that can run it at 4K. I guess I could go for something like an i5 13600k and a 4070 Ti, that would be more middle ground than the i9 13900k and RTX 4090 I suppose. I usually go for the top end tbh, I don't really know why, probably more exciting at first, lol. @kevhamster With his recommendation is also a good one, but unfortunately PCSpecialist are taking longer to deliver atm so I would be looking for a next day PC or at least a fast track service, which they usually provide, but apparently they are really busy atm. AMD would probably make more sense like @Abaddon879 and @Brother Ben suggested, because of the upgrade path. I could easily upgrade in 2 years time to a similar mid spec machine and be near the top of the benchmarks 👍🏻 I'm not a newbie tbf when it comes to PC hardware, as I said I built my last PC but tbh I didn't enjoy it. I know most people seem to enjoy it, and advise building it yourself, but I can't be bothered this time, as I'm bad at cable management 😂
  3. At least we have places like sortitoutsi who will cover the missing data, over the next few days I'm sure.
  4. Well I'm in 3 minds on this, lol. The kid in me wants to go all out and go for a top spec i9 13900k + RTX 4090 combo. The sensible me says I should settle for something in the middle, like a i9 13900k paired with a RTX 4070 Ti. Then Mr Scrooge says don't bother with the upgrade at all 😂
  5. 1: Don't pay attention to team fluidity, it doesn't have an important meaning anymore. 2: Personally and from what I've read, 4231 works better with DM's this year due to changes made to pivot behaviours.
  6. Thanks. I want to be able to play Fifa in 4K though, then I would probably just switch to PC gaming tbh and keep the PS5 for exclusives and PSVR2.
  7. Can anyone remember one of the highest prices paid in here for a new system? I'm trying to justify buying a whole new PC for just Fifa and FM 😂
  8. Interesting results, which confirms to me that if I go with AMD it will be the standard 7950X. Seems you were right @Brother Ben
  9. Nice. I'll be interested to see how you get on, as I'm going Benfica myself. I'm considering buying a new system for FM though so I'm holding off starting for now.
  10. Tbh there are windows open all year round, the main January update is enough for me.
  11. You make good points. After reading some of that review I would be more inclined to go for the 7950X instead of the X3D if I went with AMD, as it seems it does gaming well but also is more rounded than the 7950X3D. I've never really upgraded before though, I tend to buy new systems after a certain period. So I'm considering either the i9 13900k or the 7950X, I've never went with AMD before. If I went with the i9 it would most likely be the kf variant, as it's cheaper and I wouldn't exactly be needing an integrated GPU 😊
  12. Lol yeah I'm like that with football games. I don't tend to go Hearts in any games though as I find the Scottish leagues to be boring, tbh it can get boring irl too, the league structure etc is pish.
  13. Cheers 👍🏻 I like to play most of the popular games out there, but because I've been so addicted to football games... FM, Fifa / PES (RIP ) over the past few years I have a backlog of around 25-30 games 😂 It would probably take me around a year or two to get through them all as many of them are 60-100 hour games. Plus I just got my PSVR2 so that means yet more games 😅
  14. In terms of full database, is that all players custom added or is it large database + every league playable? Ffs you must be patient, or I'm just impatient 😂 Is FM the only game you play?
  15. Yeah you make good points there, it's a tough one. I'm not looking for every last ounce of FPS though, I'm pretty much happy with getting 4K 60 FPS native in all games, coming from a PS5, I'm used to that being the max FPS. If I can hit 4K 120 FPS that would be a nice bonus though. I'm also going to be using my OLED TV instead of a monitor, it's a LG C9 OLED 120hz so obviously 120 FPS is the max I can play at. I'm not really into online competitive gaming where the the most FPS matters either (although could be drawn into it 😅). I'm looking at the CPU from mostly a FM POV as I know the i9 13900k with a 4090 at 4K resolution will pretty much be more than enough for any game anyway. I doubt the 7950X3D would make a big difference vs the i9 at 4K? I've heard differences at 4K are small and more GPU dependant. I did build my current PC but I would be buying this one from Cyberpower UK, as they seem good value, and I didn't particularly enjoy building my PC like some people do 😂. Buying from them would mean any overclock etc would void warranty though, so I have to keep that in mind. I can pay for them to overclock it but with these CPU's I probably wouldn't bother. I OC'd my i9 9900k and the differences were really minimal for FM so I don't reallly see the point. I notice the 7950X3D is out of stock, it's at pre order status everywhere atm. It will also cost me a bit more than a i9 13900k build, around £250 difference. The upgrade path of AM5 is useful though for sure and would save me money in the future, plus I've read the 7950X3D is super efficient. But as I said, the performance of FM will be the main factor in my decision, so I'm not sure if I should just go for the i9 13900k now, I would have it by Thursday this upcoming week, not sure how long I would be waiting for the 7950X3D.
  16. Really? Because I tested 50 leagues on FM22, and it took 1 min 30 secs for 1 week of game time. 220 leagues on a far weaker processor must be at least 5 minutes a week? That for me would be too long personally.
  17. Yeah I definitely think people have different tolerances in terms of what is 'slow' and what's not 😂. I feel my i9 9900k is getting slow, and I was only testing it with 50 leagues in total. FM23 from what I tried last time, is significantly slower than FM22 for me. Apparently there was a minor performance update a month or so back, and I've heard that has improved things, I'll need to test it out. How on earth do you make progress running 220 leagues with that processor? That's crazy 😂
  18. Oh wow, all leagues? I couldn't imagine loading that many, even with a new i9 13900k 😂 Do you load any additional players or custom leagues, and/or have full detail? Must take a while to get through each season?
  19. I posted this elsewhere, but thought I'd post it here too. I'm seriously tempted to upgrade. Tech moves so fast, even what was a top end CPU, my i9 9900k now gets beaten by something like a i5 12400F in both single and multi thread and even a 12th gen i3 in single thread! 😂😭 @Brother Ben I'm seriously tempted to just go for the i9 13900k now instead of waiting for the 7950X3D benchmark results. As you say, the i9 13900k has it beat for single thread by a decent margin, but loses on multi thread. Thing is, I don't tend to like setting high detail on FM, usually a lot of leagues loaded but on minimal detail. I'm looking at a top spec custom build i9 13900k and RTX 4090 combo, so a lot of money though! That would mean I would do the majority of my gaming on PC now instead of my PS5, with that for just the exclusives and my PSVR2.
  20. What CPU do you have? I'm guessing some of those are added custom leagues also?
  21. I'm seriously tempted to upgrade. Man tech moves fast, even what was a top end CPU, my i9 9900k now gets beaten by something like a i5 12400F in both single and multi thread and even a 12th gen i3 in single thread! 😂😭
