  1. @kevins47 without changing anything on mine its got these sorts on the page: So sorted by Team primarily and then by Job. Admittedly however, I don't know how to apply a primary & secondary set of filters. Hopefully someone else can fill that gap in or maybe you know that part yourself.
  2. Subsidising wages is often the only way if you're not getting any immediate interest. Otherwise you need to play them and get them in the shop window and hope someone else will become interested. It's incredibly likely that for the exact same reasons he's not worth that 20k a week package to you, he wouldn't be worth it to anyone else.
  3. While a lot of factors need to be present to aid development, the game does provide a loose curve of development for each player. Some players have the potential but it just will not manifest, or it may not see growth until later in their career. On a recent save I had Marko Lazetic who didn't see any substantial change in his ability from the point I signed him at around 23 and he hadn't improved much in the years prior so I largely assumed he was as good as he would get. Between 27-29 he saw quite a burst of improvement, I never checked the figures in the background but it is possible development could still take place. With the right attribute distribution though, even at 96 CA a player can be a useful option in the championship and even premier league. Those are very few and far between however.
  4. I'm going to guess its a possibility that things like this aren't kept up to date as the years ebb by given how things change. I'd presume its a 2018 API for the youtube integration and that has since been updated/changed substantially.
  5. 5-10 in pace/acceleration attributes are hardly immobile combined with superior mental attributes, the few players scoring really high compounding the strengths further its surprising how much mobility can be achieved by being ahead of or anticipating what is happening. My RPM tends to be shielded by (at least) 1 incredibly physical midfielder and the 2 full backs/wing backs pushing in close to support. I don't think I've managed to pick up Kroos before 36 or so in FM for a number of years now but he's always been amazing in that role for me. Were I to start a save with Real Madrid and have him right from the off I think he'd be all the better.
  6. Yes you can create someone through the editor and they will be present in game. I presume (I've never created anyone through the retail editor) that by setting their resources to 20 you would have a top-level wealthy individual.
  7. I feel like if the rest of your team shields the role effectively and always has a safety outball the likes of Kroos are unrivalled. It's a role I'll often move ageing players into, in the past a post-35 Neymar and Messi have filled that role for me.
  8. As far as I'm aware you'd have to draw up your own schedules/training calendar to avoid this.
  9. You can purchase the xbox edition directly if you don't wish to have the subscription. There is already the mobile version which exists for android/iOS. I won't pretend to have enough interest in gaming on mobile devices to claim to have any knowledge of whether there are some out there which could handle running touch as it was last available. However, the issue Touch had was that there wasn't a big enough interest in purchasing the product to keep it viable as it was before. To bring it back with all the development costs again but for a niche line of mobile devices would not really make sense as a business decision in my opinion, based on what has been shared before. In general of course no one can expect the community to come up with a plan that ensures the financial viability of it, but I think when there comes to suggestions and ideas of how Touch could manifest again in the future it has to be a consideration. Touch by the time it was announced it would be withdrawn wasn't a big hit.
  10. My advice would just be to accidentally win the league in your first season like I did: It was actually built almost entirely by investing in my midfield. It's a network game and we're using false player names so its not really clear who the players are but I built my midfield up primarily thinking that would be where it all counts for me. In my first season I deliberately loaned the best box to box midfielder I could buy with an option to buy knowing I would want him were I to get promoted. My theory was that in defence you just need reasonable competence, and up front you can achieve an awful lot with pace. So build the best midfield I could with the available money (£8.5m spent in total on 3 players) and go at it with the rest being budget buys.
  11. I can't speak for SI but I'm fairly sure the announcement came long after anyone who had been eagle eyed with SI job roles had spotted they were putting the foundations in place with certain role descriptions. Of course there's room for debate but I would counterbalance the should've been done sooner argument with - could SI have actually afforded to do it sooner? It's still going to be a huge financial undertaking that probably won't see a profit on that particular investment for years. SI haven't yet changed the transfer market to a pack based system where we put our money into the slot machine endlessly in pursuit of players to help fund the game. Some of the more emotionally fragile portions of the games current fan base may even state this as the reason they stop buying when it is implemented. There's a lot of ideal world lines that can be looked at in the past for sure and none of us can truly know the what ifs. But its likely that this kind of undertaking just historically wasn't really possible for SI either from a sheer number of people required or financial perspective. Thinking back to some of the landmarks mentioned by @Spurs08 I'm not going to dispute his point, but SI didn't exist when the first women's world cup took place. If you go back 20 years to 2002 for Bend it Like Beckham, well in 2006 when Sega acquired SI they had 34 staff. It does seem like based on the wikipedia page for SI and then their own site this year they're getting a bit more growth in numbers from 170ish in 2021 to over 250 now. I think a hollow shell of representation would've been an incredible disservice and somewhat offensive to include just for some positive PR if it had been done that way at an earlier stage (not to say it would have been) but there's always the counterbalance of resources (human and financially) vs what can be delivered.
  12. Miles made a very informative blog post although I don't remember the exact link and title. It was generally explaining that it was going to take the perspective of being a lot more in depth and a very serious push to get it right rather than just getting something in the game you could label as women's football and take it from there. You could absolutely see an argument from one side of just get it in the game working with what's there and build up on it over time but there's always some cynicism you can attach to that. Taking the time to get it right is definitely going to take longer but should result in something much more complete and still be built upon further over time.
  13. More money coming into the league is the only way really to help bring both about. It does mean you'll be spearheading the campaigns in Europe alone for many a year just trying to accrue coefficient points. However, there can be quite a delay between the point a can turn professional and when they do. Generally you'll need to be having a mind on effectively uplifting the league and being willing to subsidise the other sides. Loaning players to specific teams to achieve better things, perhaps paying a little over on certain promising players if they come through at other clubs rather than yours and the like.
  14. Hidden a post since it wasn't really fitting with the thread. Speculating on the exact mechanics of how it will be implemented only really detracts from the enjoyment many have had. Hopefully events like this in turn help bring more people interested in the game development side to the table to help SI with their implementation and getting it ready in due course.
  15. As you said, playing the game can get you 90+ points. So it seems like the solution to your situation is still to play the game. Again the simplest observation is perhaps the most likely with why as favourites Man City you can't overthrow Liverpool is quite simple. By abdicating the choices made in games to your AI assistant manager its very likely they're an inferior manager to Liverpool's AI manager in Jurgen Klopp. To me at least it seems like asking why is this 90kg weight not as heavy as that 100kg weight over there. You're on an incredibly niche path if you're looking for the portion of the player base who only use holiday mode to manage Man City to overcome Liverpool. I genuinely could envisage it being the case that you're the only individual looking to do this and there's not going to be much help anyone can provide.
  16. When I'm at a club without a lot of money I'll often go for specific niche type players who aren't well rounded but excel at something specific and therefore tend to be cheaper as you have to use them in a specific way to get results. So I'll prioritise blistering acceleration for my full backs over a better, rounded out but slower player. Up front I'll usually have two options in again a blisteringly fast player, but also an instinctive high off the ball/anticipation slower player who I can sub on later in games etc. At the times money is tight getting more options who offer something very different suits me far better than a lesser amount of more well rounded and generally more expensive players.
  17. A strange post overall. I'd suggest that if you find playing the game works better for you then you probably should play the game. Perhaps its a bit of a case of can't see the wood for the trees, as you mention you can adjust to things in games by not holidaying and that is where the gains are to be made. Sometimes the simplest solution (playing the game) is better than the more complex one.
  18. The xbox edition is available as well on desktops/laptops through the Microsoft store/xbox app. I do think were there to be some pre-set options for staff delegations and news item management within the main game (aimed at being more like the xbox version) can help get it to a more streamlined point as well.
  19. For point 1, I've had Milinkovic-Savic win world player of the year at 37/38 scoring 40 goals from midfield that season (in Austria) and my current star player is Mbappe: He's 36 in 2 months, had a pretty bad injury with a torn hamstring in the last year and still hasn't fallen to pieces yet. The reality is for a lot of things your mileage will vary so to speak. Because again look at data analysts in my save: Some stuff doesn't make too much sense I agree, like the complaint about training never going any further and mentoring being squad specific. However, there are easy work arounds, promote the player and make available for the development squad relevant for example. The determination attribute taking hits is actually modelled on a whole variety of circumstances from football and typically reflects some kind of failing either on the players behalf or on your behalf managing that player. You can kill a players determination by giving them too much, too soon for example in terms of contracts. Poor determination throughout your squad can be a negative influence, mentoring can be a negative influence too on determination if the mentor is lower scoring in this area than the player being mentored.
  20. In part because its entirely down to you where your save games can be located. It just wouldn't be possible to put up every possible variation. The game has a default path, but you don't have to use that. Most operating systems do have quite effective file search facilities these days. You can quite easily find the save game location in the game too: Press Browse It alters the view, you can then click on the drop down where it saves games This shows the full path through the folders to where games are saved on your system. - - - - - - Alternatively, file search: Right click on the file and open file path, you could then drag and drop it directly from there to the upload service.
  21. I'm not sure if its in FM18 but in preferences you do have the option to compress save games for a smaller file. Might be worth trying that. Likely going to have to accept that there are going to be a number of issues I know with some particularly large save files I had many moons ago it was just a case of retrying to load/save them sometimes needing multiple attempts and not having much else open on the laptop I used at the time. That may have been more of a hardware rather than game issue however.
  22. There's a few reasons that immediately come to mind. - Including real players of this age generally cannot be done (very difficult to get the relevant permission etc) - Football at these levels often works rather differently - The (voluntary) research team can only do so much
  23. In ye olden times programs like avast or AVG would occasionally false flag the FM.exe and quarantine it/remove it. With windows defender I don't think I've heard of that happening at all, at least not in recent times. Fairly simple way to keep it in mind though since you're generally disregarding the advice given by Welshace so far. If anything has removed a .dll file (unsure if FM uses these tbh) or .exe file for the game its fairly obvious. Your game doesn't work no more. If the game still boots up and plays, then nothing has happened to it.
  24. It will invariably suit some players better than others with their attributes. Remember nothing stops the player from playing one-two's anyway, the PPM just increases the proclivity for it. On the flip side sometimes it can be problematic to try and shoehorn this on a player as they then try to do it in areas/spaces where its not suitable or they aren't capable enough with their attributes to pull it off. PPM's in general can be helpful but you need to assess things like their technical ability and a big one is their flair/vision. Personally on a full back I prefer one-two's for a player who has speed but lacks dribbling and anything special in the passing department. It can allow that player to be freed up and move forward quickly rather than trying to beat his man with his ability on the ball.
  25. They can eventually relent, but having to build a new stadium may also be an eventual solution.
