Khephren Thuram is fantastic and is good enough for a title winning squad imo. Good upgrade for your midfield!

Khephren has been a breath of fresh air! His game is so all-rounded too and he already managed 2 goals in 8 starts from the holding midfield position. Let's hope he can stay with us all the way!

Season Update 2024/25

deee1a0ad299ab8b90480557391b7d1a.jpg

Things aren't going too bad in Defoe's second season in the Prem..

Premier League

9bbc82f9747cc1666a80790c9727e64d.png

We are still hanging on to the last Champions League spot after 26 games, winning 17, drawing 3 and losing 6 thus far. However, it won't be easy staying 4th as Arsenal and Chelsea are both hot on our heels.

Champions League

3c6cf18a91ddc9ebf38a201db40506cb.png

Jermain decided to utilise his second-choice players in Europe and they certainly caused some selection problems by finishing a respectable 10th after 8 games.

1704198e9b3c6e5ef22a3fa7dae53986.png

We did well against the smaller teams but couldn't really compete with the big boys. A tough Arsenal outfit awaits us in the next round and none of us are putting money on ourselves to progress any further.

Carabao Cup

5299b01cb9e365b9728786ae0a0b016b.png

After a morale-boosting comprehensive victory against Newport in the Third Round, things came crashing back down as we were eliminated away at Leeds after a close 1-2 defeat.

FA Cup

d2246466a8a50c544bdd289d432ad6c0.png

We are still going strong in the FA Cup though, and our second string earned themselves a fourth round replay after coming back to draw away at Norwich. Jermain is quietly confident that we should at least progress to the fifth round as we have home advantage :brock:

Player of the Update

Nelson Weiper has started his Boro career like a house on fire! He is only 19 this year but has already managed 17 goals in just 15 Premier League Starts. He even managed 3 in the Champions League as well. We are all aware that this goal scoring ratio is not sustainable but let's hope that this can go on for as long as possible!

Season Review 2024/25

41b3bdeaedfff6685148137dd4486435.jpg

The boy's expression summed up a topsy turvy season at the Riverside Stadium perfectly..

Premier League

bc1e007231c14de99f212ee63fee53f1.png

We had another fantastic campaign in the league as the boys managed to improve on our points total to finish 3rd behind the mighty top two, who are both way ahead of the pack. The top of the Prem looks familiar with the exception of Spurs, who unfortunately missed out on an European spot after finishing on 54 points.

Champions League

80e22a1e6935e2a31cf3403853d20625.png

We nearly achieved the impossible after progressing all the way to the final, but fell at the last hurdle painfully against AC Milan in a 0-2 defeat :(

e6612cc18c34a03c285b03f15efe6d72.jpg

The fact that we edged the Italian giants on xG made the defeat even more unbearable  However, we know our squad isn't comparable to the big boys at this stage and we can only improve from here. We go again next year!

FA Cup

2477bfde35ed9ba4b919805966e90e0c.png

With FA Cup lower in our priorities, our second string was knocked out in the fifth round away at West Brom after an unlucky penalty shootout defeat.

Carabao Cup

dcd5716308a4b7c987e8964300aa64e7.png

Another early domestic cup exit further proves Jermain's point that the squad still needs some strengthening before we can compete for the trophies.

Goal of the Season

4abac544ae9d0b926a62cb6688d5d18a.gif

Our goal of the season was scored by someone who has been on loan with us since our Championship days. He will also join us permanently next campaign after letting his contract run out at Bayern. What a banger!

Player of the Season

Defoe decided to gamble on Nelson Weiper's potential last summer after failing to find ready-made upgrades in the market, and we were paid out handsomely. 36 goals in 32 starts, English Premier League Player of the Year, Players' Player of the Year, Players' Young Player of the Year.. there is no need for additional words. Our Player of the Year by a distance! \o/

Unlucky in the final but what a run to get there! Weiper is an absolute goal machine!

The final came too early for us! And Weiper has had such a great campaign that the likes of Real Madrid are sniffing around! Fingers crossed we can keep him!

Summer 2025/26

0fbaad69b384d1f1581af354a1a86cce.png

Defoe splashed the cash this summer but it was quality rather than quantity as we strived to improve the squad to cope with the demands from the multiple competitions.

Diogo Dalot

0ca32c27f504c4dbaa9f283f24a77474.jpg

The plan was to strengthen from the weakest areas of our squad and right-back was the worst-performing position. Diogo was the best available option on the market and Jermain gave the go-ahead to bring the Portuguese in to replace the outgoing Jack Stacey. The all-rounded attacking wing-back will hopefully provide some attacking thrust down our right flank in the upcoming campaign.

Gérson

0b236f9fb5c9c18fc8deadf4d29514ab.jpg

Patino failed to develop as quickly as we anticipated and he struggled slightly in Europe last season. Defoe decided that we needed an upgrade in the left-sided no. 8 position and Gérson was brought in after a number of consistent seasons with Olympique de Marseille. There is no real weakness in the Brazilian's game and we are looking forward to seeing that Brazilian flair return to the Riverside Stadium \o/

Alexander Sørloth

d654779cfe95cd5b8380a31e655c3469.jpg

Defoe loves Norwegians and a certain left-footed, big Norwegian striker was available on the loan market. We signed him up without hesitation but we may have signed the wrong one. Jokes aside, Alexander will be our third-choice striker following the conclusion of Hugo Duro's loan deal.

António Silva

25e5b02f050b08970314220b72c96fdf.jpg

To be honest, we are still not quite sure if we made the correct decision to activate Antonio's release clause this summer. We had lots of cash left in the bank and no players really caught our eye. Dael Fry struggled quite a bit in Europe due to his lack of pace and he was the weakest link in the squad when Jermain made the difficult decision to replace him with the Portuguese center-back. And for one last time.. he's one of our own, he's one of our own, Dael Fry, he's one of our own! :**)

January 2026

c54421f0ba48456905a3141bd26b82d8.jpg

Defoe only made one signing this January and it wasn't one he expected or wanted to make. Anel Ahmedhodžić became unsettled when he learnt that Real Madrid was interested in him and we had no choice but to let him go as he was complaining to his team-mates about the Spanish giants' rejected bid. He was eventually off-loaded to FC Porto as Real did not come back for him. Ben Godfrey was brought in from Everton as his replacement as he was the most financially viable choice out of the ones available on the market. It is really frustrating as it seems like we came out weaker from the transfer window too :(

Season Update 2025/26

376ab60bd1307884dab61e8b690b578f.jpg

Jermain is getting comfortable in this football management game..

Premier League

c4bd28eb7560c00f291e339243ebb677.png

Boro are riding high in the Premier League, sitting second just one point behind Man City. However, we expect a fall-off sooner or later as things have been going so well for us in terms of injuries. We haven't had that blip this season too.

Champions League

72654b3f215ceb1997e6bb8859cdf011.png

We did well to finish 11th to qualify for the play-offs in this gigantic Champions League table..

409f95ca599da9886b6986528feb6033.png

..where we knocked out the only footballing side in the UFC, only to face last season's champions and this season's league winners Milan in the next round. The Italian side has been incredible, winning two Champions Leagues consecutively in the last two campaigns. They also sit top of the Serie A table currently. Defoe is fearing the worst :(

FA Cup

11f985315239a8b50d22986d7d5265f0.png

We continue to progress in the FA Cup too, and our second string even found another gear to beat a strong Arsenal side in the fourth round. We face fellow Prem outfit Brighton in the next round.

Carabao Cup

7144174cdd6bf73b87f17f22c6020741.png

The second-choice players failed to overcome Arsenal in the other cup competition though, losing agonisingly on pens after a tightly-fought goal-less draw at the Riverside Stadium.

Player of the Update

9e3a47b6b9d238030089a6733c3514fa.jpg

Our boy wonder continued to do his thing this season, scoring 24 in just 22 starts in another unbelievably productive campaign so far. Can Nelson Weiper outscore a certain Norwegian this time round? While we are all behind our goal machine, we have huge doubts on whether he can do so!

Season Review 2025/26

Campione, campione olé olé olé!

Premier League

245d8d3e970042cea3d11b0503c454a8.png

We are the champions!! The title race didn't really go all the way to the wire despite us winning by goal difference as we were ahead of Man City by 3 points and +9 goal difference going into the last fixture. While we lost to Arsenal away and City beat Leicester, the lads managed to hang on with our superior goal difference. Nonetheless, it was an unbelievable campaign by Defoe's boys considering we are far behind the top sides in terms of transfer and wage budgets. What an achievement by Jermain!!

Champions League

a8f209e1b628e6a688d6250be7f91508.png

We were losing finalists in our last Champions League campaign to AC Milan and they were our nemesis again, knocking us out in the Round of 16 3-1 on aggregate after Jermain decided to rest his players for the league. We go again next year!

FA Cup

37d985b334680391bfa6fe1e3a9aa895.png

We lost another cup final!! :( Despite progressing well all the way, we were beaten by Southampton 1-2 to a late injury-time goal agonisingly. Defoe is beginning to develop the bad habit of losing finals in his career and let's hope we can correct it sooner or later!

Carabao Cup

5e84aa42eae10fd9c5671c30e67bdcd6.png

Not a Carabao Cup campaign to remember as our second string was knocked out by Arsenal early in the Fourth Round.

Goal of the Season

Goal of the season was a beauty by our new signing Gerson with absolutely no back lift at all!

Finances

Our broadcast revenue and competition prize money dropped despite us winning the league, and it probably showed how much money a run in the Champions League would bring! Weiper continues to sell shirts though and he has slowly but surely established himself as a Boro fan favourite!

Summer 2026/27

4a0e7e071e2fbea8985402f44b7c2e7e.jpg

This summer was all about getting the squad to meet the registration requirements as a couple of players turned 22 and took up additional slots..

Goalkeepers

7f7997aa57835873e71281a8935232d9.jpg

We have a new pair of goalkeepers this campaign as Emiliano Martínez and Sergio Rico turned 34 and 33 respectively and a change is needed sooner rather than later. Alex Meret will be our new number one as he is a wonderful shot-stopper with decent handling and aerial reach. Jermain is certain that he is more than capable to replace a certain World Cup winner ;)

3698c92d793784d553b4d31405e151cc.jpg

Alex's back-up is a fellow countryman and Alessandro Plizzari is a keeper of similar mould. With him available for a mere 2.5 million pounds, we wasted little time to sign him up. The 191cm-tall shot-stopper will get most of his game time in the cup competitions.

Defenders

3fe30785784a0e190c6d4c3e9028d48f.jpg

With us struggling to meet the registration requirements, there was a need to bring in the younger ones who can develop to be one of our own. With Defoe's special liking for Norwegians, it was not surprising to see him bring in Erik Tylden for 2.4 million pounds. The resolute youngster is already one capable center-back at a tender age of 18. If he can add pace to his game, he will be able to hold his own against the Prem-level strikers.

c4f871a8b53c1bad3900351165e005ce.jpg

Despite the solid form of last summer's signing Diogo Dalot, right-back continue to be our worst-performing position and Jermain made strengthening this area our priority. Like Diogo, Filippo Terracciano is an all-rounded right wing-back and he will replace the out-going Tuta in the squad.

c4507f724e0c80e2d231f9687220a932.jpg

With Micky van de Ven suspended for our first 3 league games and Sergio Reguilón turning 30 shortly, Jermain decided to bring in a third left-back to prepare for exigencies. Rayan Aït-Nouri is incredible going both ways down the left flank and if he can stay injury-free, the Frenchman can be big for us this campaign.

Midfielders

250a83fc63411ed3199d13523f314fbc.jpg

The loan signing of Noël Aséko Nkili from Bayern went a long way to help us meet the registration requirements as he is a very capable defensive midfielder for a 20-year-old. The German replaces Morten Hjulmand in the squad, whom Jermain was reluctant to let go, even for 30 million pounds to Al-Hilal Saudi Football Club.

38e714c178f5ea53778611274036fa90.jpg

Jonathan Asp-Jensen was another 20-year-old who was signed to help us meet the registration requirements in both the Prem and the Champions League. The Danish wonderkid is a solid set-piece taker with that Brazilian flair and Argentinian agility in his game. He replaces Tobias Gulliksen as our backup right-sided no. 8, who joined promoted side Sheffield United for 25 million pounds.

Attackers

e6bbf865650e690c9af58be66654d3f3.jpg

Kevin Schade was entering the last year of his contract but his demands for an extension were unrealistic in Defoe's eyes. He decided to let the German return to Germany for 34 million pounds and sign up the most value for money replacement in Ismaïla Sarr. The speedster came in on loan from Arsenal and he will push Andreas Schjelderup for a role in the starting 11.

ef11649afad12e20f17dc233f077250d.jpg

Our third-choice lone pressing foward had to be home-grown due to registration restrictions and Dane Scarlett was brought in on loan from Jermain's former club to fill that spot. The Englishman has yet to fulfil his potential and our manager is the perfect mentor to bring out the best in him.

bdb8fee677de2dc062ad608318b97fe6.jpg

Due to circumstances, we still have so much left in the bank and our scouting team will continue to be very busy as we navigate the upcoming campaign :brock:

January 2027

1628ad7a612f097ab691aa2c90c9ab04.jpg

January began with the loan signing of Héctor Bellerín from Barcelona as Diogo Dalot broke his leg during the first half of our campaign. The Spaniard is no longer at the peak of his powers but he will do a job filling the hole which Diogo left behind while he recovers from the unlucky injury.

89b47c3a231c2f9906bd2a17ad0b03ef.jpg

Like Bellerin's move, Ivan Ilić's move was another forced signing after Gerson broke his leg shortly after Diogo did his :( We couldn't believe our luck but thankfully, Defoe saved some cash in the summer and we brought in Ivan on deadline day to fill another gap left behind by serious injuries. The Serbian is a very complete, left-footed central midfielder who will compete with Bartol Franjić for game time in the left-sided no. 8 spot .

fd9af20651f2763a9463fcbc0bd943b6.jpg

Weiper has been excellent for us since he came over to England and he has rarely missed major game time due to injuries or suspensions. However, Jermain has always felt that we do not have enough firepower if our bad luck with injuries strike our number one number nine too. To address this concern which has always been at the back of his mind, we moved to bring in Adam Idah from Norwich to strengthen our striking options as we move into the business end of our very busy campaign. With incredible physique and finishing ability, we are hoping that the Irish hitman can help us take the final step towards silverware in the cup competitions \o/

Season Review 2026/27

Defoe has only gone and done it again!

Premier League

dafba0905c75b71f8bbddb67057f9329.png

It was a year where everyone else had underwhelming campaigns and the boys capitalised with tremendous consistency to bag our second consecutive title! Unbelievable efforts by the lads again \o/

Champions League

12c4102fb01b2f10f688a16245de4367.png

We didn't go all the way in Europe though, falling in the quarter-finals against Inter Milan in the 1-2 aggregate defeat. Jermain is beginning to dislike the new Champions League format with so many fixtures before the knockout rounds. Anyone with him?

FA Cup

f5e3e1c56266e296e7cb750a50455172.png

The boys didn't impress anyone in the FA Cup this season, falling in the fifth round away at Southampton after a narrow 0-1 defeat.

Carabao Cup

23e2ffe641ab442aebaebaff67b26706.png

We finished another campaign without a cup win, but it was unsurprising in the Carabao Cup as we were handed the toughest draw in the quarter-final. The second string held their own but just weren't good enough against the mighty Cityzens in another 0-1 cup defeat.

Season Summary

0369238ce08f9729ebd6433639ad1e19.png

Despite failing at all the cup competitions, we have to be very happy with another league win as we were only tipped by the media to finish in the top half of the table. Like Mourinho, Defoe is really proud of that Community Shield win too! ;)

Summer 2027/28

Defenders

29b7d67bcd88ddb17f40d4f2852878a9.jpg

Jermain kicked off the summer businesses with a new addition in central defence, and Andrew Omobamidele comes in to replace 29-year-old Ben Godfrey, who left for Monaco in a 23-million pounds deal after bagging two premier league titles in his two years at the Riverside Stadium. That's not bad for a 4.2 million signing from Everton. Omobamidele is younger, better in the air, and is almost as quick as his predecessor and he will get lots of game time in the upcoming campaign.

db0c12e001125fc9870b46464face9cc.jpg

Right-back continues to be our weakest-performing position on the pitch but I think we've found the long-term solution in Tino Livramento. There is no real weaknesses in the Englishman's game and he will go straight into our starting 11 to hopefully solve our problem in his position.

99311a0bc3c4942d437a5c401ffbd830.jpg

On the opposite flank, Sergio Reguilón has entered the wrong end of his thirties and Defoe felt it was the right time to let him go. We wanted to bring in a younger replacement but there were no capable, home-grown ones whom we can pick up on the market. The manager eventually settled for Antonee Robinson, who will provide more than capable cover for Micky van de Ven and Rayan Aït-Nouri at left-wing back.

345bf7e9c68ad69507632ecd3284ee89.jpg

The loan signing of Nathan Collins from Barcelona completes the quartet of defensive reinforcements and it was a forced decision after António Silva suffered a long-term injury in pre-season. The Irishman is a very smart and all-rounded defender, and it will be tough to terminate his loan deal when Silva eventually returns from injury.

Attackers

1c2f3bf4e6628f85378497c93bd60ddf.jpg

The biggest surprise of the summer was Talles Magno's arrival from Man United, who replaces Andreas Schjelderup in the squad after he left for 60 million pounds to Real San Sebastián. And no, he didn't ask for the move. Jermain decided to offload the Norwegian as he made most of his goal contributions against the lesser teams and often went missing in big games. We've done our research and are pretty sure that the Brazilian will make his presence felt in the important games.

54cb4b413f94052758f9422090007027.jpg

The signing of Curtis Jones completes the summer transfer businesses but it was very much an unplanned one. He replaces Pablo Torre in the squad, whose loan deal was terminated after he broke his leg right before the season began. The Englishman progresses the ball really well in midfield and the fact that he is home-grown made Jermain's decision to open the chequebook easier. He will compete with Jonathan Asp-Jensen for game time in the right-sided no. 8 Mezzala role.

And with that, we are all set and ready to go! Bring on the new season! \o/

Injury Crisis

5cd8634f63c7e08e1081db92a3a02282.jpg

We didn't really wanna make this signing in January but Jermain lost all three of our left-backs to long-term injuries  Miloš Kerkez was the best option on our shortlist and we wasted little time to sign him up to help us cope with the injury crisis..

945ce7762afe0fe316db88eb8abf7d5e.jpg

A second left-back was signed on loan from Villarreal to complete our January transfer businesses. The deal was confirmed without much scouting and I certainly wouldn't recommend that. We just realised Alfonso Pedraza is rash in his challenges and tends to hide during big games. I don't think he will get lots of game time then :seagull:

Season Review 2027/28

Campione, campione olé olé olé!

Champions League

d42d42d81484cb2845522a4a297db3da.png

We have only gone on and done it! The boys were unbelievable in Europe this year, winning all of our group games before knocking out our rivals Newcastle United, giants Bayern, Man City and Chelsea along the way to lift one of the world's biggest trophies. Middlesbrough are European Champions! Let that sink in! \o/

Premier League

7879ab911f64b912eee327bd2688a6d4.png

We were inconsistent in the league though. It was a really competitive campaign and Man City eventually won it with a less than usual total of 77 points. We finished 6 points off in 3rd position, a solitary point ahead of 4th-placed Liverpool and 3 points behind the Gunners. We go again next year!

FA Cup

ef3b09512924ef9b3676e4f8a429c322.png

We managed to progress quite deep in the competition but faced eventual league champions Man City in the semis, where we fell to a narrow 0-1 defeat at Wembley. Jermain still hasn't won any domestic cup competitions, or has he?

Carabao Cup

154737ed823f841a49074f6de882a593.png

Yes, he has! Defoe led his troops to a double this campaign, with his second competition win coming in the Carabao Cup. We faced all Prem teams throughout the cup run and finished off with a final against a very good Liverpool outfit. The lads matched the Reds toe-to-toe all the way and an injury-time solo goal by Adam Idah won us the cup. The Irish hitman has had an incredible campaign!

Next Steps

Having won both the Premier League and Champions League with Boro, is this the right time for Defoe to pursue another project?

Great Accomplishment!

Yes, I think he should take on a new project. Italy or Spain would be good places to bring "No Room for Racism". Germany might work also because I can't remember of any managers of color there as well.

Thanks lads! Jermain was certainly looking out for job opportunities but there just weren't any which he was interested in..

..and then this came up! This got him thinking as he had always wanted to manage England at some point of his career. The chance to manage the likes of Rice, Sancho, Foden, Rashford and Bellingham at their peak won't come along again too.  He definitely won't be just managing England on its own without another club at this point of his career too as he is still young and active. Should he take it?

wow now Defoe have chances to manage England

once he left England maybe he can stay in england manage Chelsea or Newcastle

Having managed Boro for so many years and winning the Prem and Champions League with them, I don't think Defoe would manage another English club ;)  If he chooses to leave Middlesbrough, it will be another club abroad!

Summer 2028

Defenders

d81ca0ad12794721c31cb6d32d9cb6e1.jpg

We kicked off our summer businesses with a signing of a new right-back from Bayer 04. Dalot has been moaning for a move since Arsenal unsettled him on last January's deadline day and we didn't want to keep an unhappy player at the club. Timothée Pembélé arrives from Germany to replace the Portuguese and he is a more than capable replacement. The Frenchman positions himself well during defending transitions and is quick enough to deal with most wide players. He will compete with Livramento for the 1st choice right-back position.

7ef26f09cff31c6a02f9001c1d365b64.jpg

Dušan Žižmond was picked up from the NXGN list and it is a win-win situation for Boro as we can either sell the 4.4 million pound signing on for a profit, or develop him into a solid player to meet the homegrown quotas ;)

f608af479cec935f8f10d8ad45e057e7.jpg

Luca Netz is the defensive addition whom Jermain is most excited about this summer. The German is one of the quickest left-back in world football and is aligned with Defoe's preference to play with a high line. Luca also crosses the ball incredibly well and he will be very important for us in our attacking transitions.

4340c57275b63ca28f79b01ab80edd98.jpg

Trevor Cavell comes in to replace Antonee Robinson as our third-choice left-back as the American turned 31 this year. With a shortage of quality English left-backs, Jermain will also look to develop him on a day-to-day basis as the 18-year-old is on the verge of breaking into the England squad ;)

Midfielders

ee6c64b7de5549772351ff2b93b78580.jpg

We didn't really want to bring in Michael Olise this summer as Ola Solbakken is still performing to a decent level for us. However, the Norwegian is already 29 and there aren't many good enough potential replacements on the market when Ola's level starts to decline eventually. Olise was transfer-listed and available for a cut price of 51 million pounds and we didn't want to miss out on this real bargain of a deal. Unfortunately, it quickens the departure of one of Defoe's favourite sons and with 114 goal contributions in 5 seasons, let's give a well-deserved standing ovation to Norway's best player ;) :applause:

bbc32e941b2d80e5dcb02add93f3a063.jpg

Man City managed to unsettle Curtis Jones and we had no choice but to let him go for 50 million pounds :( Ilaix Moriba comes in as his replacement for 21.5 million pounds and he is deemed to be very good value by our scouting team. The perfectionist will play in the right-sided no.8 position as our Box To Box midfielder.

1c41dec7c7dcac45e9a1c70e06ea582b.jpg

Jermain has been a long-time admirer of Amadou Onana and this summer was finally the right moment to bring him in. He replaces another unsettled player in Jonathan Asp-Jensen, who frustratingly was seduced by the cash-rice PSG and moaned for a move like how Curtis Jones did. The Belgian arrives for 26 million pounds from Dortmund and his physicality will definitely make a difference in our game in the upcoming campaign \o/

15d43b08eb1bc74039f6f6279304ca9b.jpg

This year, Jermain decided to swap the roles of the no. 8s around and our left-sided one will play in the Mezzala role in this season. As a result, the replacement of Bartol Franjić was necessary and the 28-year-old departed for Lyon in a 40.5 million pounds deal. Rodri was brought in from Real Hispalis and he is perfect for the football which Defoe wants to play. The Spanish midfield technician can see passes most players in world football can't see and he will compete with Ilic for regular football in the MCL position.

Attackers

beb17a623e999258f85ba92c04e74ba1.jpg

Armando Broja was the sole attacking addition this summer and Jermain didn't even want to do the deal. The move was forced due to Arsenal unsettling another of our players and it was Tyrese Campbell this time round. Defoe certainly doesn't bear grudges as he allowed Tyrese to join Norwich instead for 34.5 million pounds ;) We needed a home-grown player to meet the registration requirements and Armando is the only decent one on the market. The deal was a no-brainer and he will compete with Weiper and Idah for the no. 9 spot in the starting 11.

England

081ffe4877f2712e280ff2da5160f04e.jpg

Jermain has also managed his 1st England game and it was a winning one in the European International League opener :D

I actually made Ramsdale first choice in a recent FM22 save (starting with England).

That's a great choice! He's by far England's best keeper in 2028! No other keeper can come close to him!

Wow amazing job with Boro mate! Won the lot! I love that you do it with those bargain signings and not the regular names.

Thanks mate! Jermain would have loved to sign those big names too but we can't afford it ;)

Cheers mate! The aim is to make Defoe the best manager in the world so we definitely want to win things with England! We are still someway behind though :)

Thanks mate! JD still wants to explore options abroad and he may return home at the last stop of his career :)

January 2029

07a7c3286c9625adab7d6a54badbc34b.jpg

Jermain made just one addition in January and it was a move which was too good to resist. Arsen Zakharyan was transfer-listed by Arsenal for a cut-price of 44 million pounds and I don't think there's a better player for that price on the market. He replaces 30-year-old Ismaïla Sarr in the squad, who himself was on loan from Arsenal. Arsen is younger and considerably better technically than the Senegalese and he will compete with Talles Magno for the starting spot down our left wing.

Premier League

df13a986a2b67e88912a34392a2ea2f1.png

Jermain has only gone and done the Sir Alex's treble! The boys were so determined to wrestle back the Premier League title and showed incredible consistency to finish on 93 points ahead of Chelsea and the Manchester sides. All these still feel like a dream :**)

Champions League

e6143b7f44bf71dfff41d7866c074f47.png

Like the treble-winning United side, we overcame the German giants in the final after Chris Richards nodded in a corner to bag us our second consecutive Champions League win. It was so fitting for a player who was signed in our 1st season back in top flight and had been our starting center-back along our journey to the top. Campione, campione olé olé olé..
Campione, campione olé olé olé!

FA Cup

Defoe also managed to guide Middlesbrough to their first ever FA Cup win after a tough run, overcoming the likes of Arsenal, Newcastle and Liverpool along the way. Adam Idah was the hero after he rounded the keeper in injury time to put us 2-1 up. It was a perfect campaign..

Carabao Cup

..if we ignored the Carabao Cup exit to Liverpool in an eventful 2-3 defeat, but many told us we should ignore this ;)

Goal of the Season
