I am having so many issues regarding NCAA D1 since loads of teams are leaving/transferring conferences. For the 21/22 season, conferences will remain as they were before lockdown. Starting from 22-23, teams will then move again into their appropriate conference. This seems to be the only way (so far) that I can get the NCAA D1 to work, so I apologise for that.

will you include logos for the teams?

IIRC the MLS players get drafted from USL2, so a lot of past DBs like this have used that structure as the NCAA. Going one step down, by default the USL2 teams gets their players from the USSDA (or whatever its called now) after they spend a few seasons there, so you could rename that structure and use it for your high school division

First of all, this is a big undertaking. I’ve never went this deep into the editor before creating something like this. This is based on real life, so drafts, trades, salary cap etc still exist as they do in real life. Real players, staff, referees, media will be included as far as possible. There will also be an add on to include extra cities/towns in every US State.

Every state will have ‘semi pro’ leagues as well as High School leagues, including a state championship. Max age for HS teams will be 18 and Minimum age will be 14. Max age for college will be 24 and minimum age will be 17. That will be the same for NCAAI, II & III. I'm also thinking of including NAIA Colleges too, but this will still remain a WIP.

The following has been completed:

  • MLS
  • USLC
  • USL 1
  • NISA
  • NCAA 1
  • U.S. Open Cup

The following is a WIP:

  • USPL
  • USPL 1
  • NPSL
  • NCAA D II
  • NCAA III
  • NAIA
  • USClub Soccer
  • ENPSL
  • US Youth Soccer National Leagues
  • Alabama High School Athletics Association
  • Alaska Schools Activities Association
  • Arizona Interscholastic Association
  • California Interscholastic Federation
  • Arkansas Activities Association
  • Colorado High School Activities Association
  • Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association
  • District of Columbia Interscholastic Athletic Association
  • Florida High School Athletic Association
  • Georgia High School Association
  • Hawaii High School Athletic Association
  • Idaho High School Athletic Association
  • Illinois High School Association
  • Indiana High School Athletic Association
  • Iowa High School Athletic Association
  • Kansas State High School Activities Association
  • Kentucky High School Athletic Association
  • Louisiana High School Athletic Association
  • Maine Principals' Association
  • Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association
  • Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association
  • Michigan High School Athletic Association
  • Minnesota State High School League
  • Mississippi High School Activities Association
  • Missouri State High School Activities Association
  • Montana High School Association
  • Nebraska School Activities Association
  • Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association
  • New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association
  • New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association

You're missing USL League Two on the list. Will that be also in the file?

First of all, I thank you for the ambitious project to faithfully recreate the American football system.
I just have one thing to ask you, could you make available the db file of the leagues you have already completed?

NCAA D2 is coming along nicely. Due to issues I had to remake some colleges but all is working now. I am going on holiday this coming friday (till sunday) so no updates till at least monday. We're getting eerily closer to a possible release, but not quite there yet, :) Thanks everyone for the constant interest and the understanding that this is alot of work and the editor can be a little temperamental and sometimes has a mind of it's own -- especially when it comes to the USA.

I started adding in HS teams and then tested everything. Verified it all in the editor and everything was perfect, went onto the game and got an error. :( Going to wrack my brains today trying to figure out what the issue is 🤣

Alabama is now completed and all teams have been added. Onto Alaska now. Alaska has two divisions which will be amalgamated into one, just to stop confusion for myself more than anything! I need to go back and redo colours, add in rivals / derby games, but things are looking good so far. :)

amazing work my friend. really looking forward to it - when do you anticipate completion?

I'm not sure, creating all the teams / competitions is the easy part...making sure it all works together is a different matter

Question… are you just adding the HS leagues/teams in US that just have soccer programs?

yes, I may add in a few others here and there -- but the majority will be only schools with soccer programmes.

I have re-edited my first original post, with a semi-updated list of things that will be included in the DB. I'm currently creating the discord, and I'll post it once it's available. There will also be a twitter account available to follow for more updates. :)

will NCAA teams be able to pick players from high schools? i.e. will you be able to scout HS players?

That is the plan, hopefully! We’ll see how it goes. But I have a backup plan if that doesn’t work.

As for scouting, yes. Scouting HS teams will be the same as scouting for any other team.

Question: Would anyone like me to add rosters for HS teams?

Honestly mate, it all depends on what information is available. There is no guarantee you could get half the information required.

If you can find the information you need, then by all means, go ahead, but don't give yourself too much work as you have already done a hell of a lot on this file.

I think i can get most of the information on maxprep, but I think I'm just going to continue as I'm going right now and then worry about players later. Maybe for FM23!!

I personally don’t think rosters for HS teams are necessary.  As long as the game generates players for each team, I’m fine.

I would focus more on making sure that the high school teams have some sort of intake, so that the teams don’t go empty after a few years.

Unfortunately, the editor doesn't let you go below the age of 16. However, I didn't put in a 'minimum age' only maximum (as 17). I haven't been able to test it yet, but I'll let you know how it goes.

Also I was gonna ask.. if you say have ncaa as a main how do you have it so you have he main ncaa and then there’s a drop down for each ncaa league? If that makes sense..

The NCAA is the 'divison' and the conference is the secondary division, if that makes sense.

So u create both ncaa and the conferences as leagues but I mean how do u set it up in the editor I mean… right now my cis are all listed as separate leagues not under the division cis

Wouldn't you have NCAA as the parent comp and then, in advanced rules, add NCAA and all the relevant conferences before setting all the individual conferences as child comps?

I think there is also an option to have the parent comp visible..... Unless I'm totally misunderstanding the question.
