We won three out the four games in Obosligaen, and we drew the last game to league leaders Kristiansund. That means we finish the month in the 5th position. The 0-4 loss against Lillestrøm was not good of course, but when we got a player sent off after 10 minutes, it would be tough. We should have lost that game 0-10 in the end. We scored the most goals of all the teams, but conceded the most as well. As per usual really. In the first game of the season we faced Mjøndalen, one of the newly relegated teams, and one of the league favourites this year. We were 0-4 down at the break, but managed to salvage a draw! We even beat Mjøndalen in the Norwegian Cup. We're facing Molde in the next round, there our run will end, as Molde have the Eliteserien the last three seasons. That means we will be facing the big boys in Eliteserien next season. We outscored everyone this year, and ended up with 18 goals more than the next team. One of the reasons that we played this well, was that I retrained Bjørn Hagen (YP12d) to play as a right back, so we had a very good player there for the first time in years. And other than that some of the players has grown at an incredible rate. I will post pictures of a couple of players in the end of this post. Player of the Season I would also like to mention Knut Gundersen (YP07b), his attributes is nothiing special, but he is so important for us in the heart of the defence! Has been a captain ever since he came through the youth academy. Best XI 2034 Best Overall XI This is the growth of two of the best players over the last year. Bear in mind, we have NO upgrades to facilities at all. Other than youth coaching. 33. Bjørn Hagen (YP12d) 6. Magnus Eriksen (YP12a) The last two players is from this years youth intake, so this is basically the growth over a 8-9 month period. 40. Pål Hagen (YP13b) 41. A very good achievement in itself, as everyone predicted us dead last. Once again, it is the defence that lets us down, with us conceding a lot more than I want to. Warg92 Posted November 23, 2021 Author Share Posted November 23, 2021 Norwegian Cup Final 2035 In our first season in the Eliteserien we actually got to the Norwegian Cup final, a good achievement in itself. We faced Molde, the clear winners of the Eliteserien, and I did not have high hopes of us winning the game. Thankfully, their star player João Félix was missing with a injury, but their team should crush ours either way. But in the 15th minute we get a soft penalty after, what I consider, a good tackle. Stian Storhaug (YP11b) had no problems scoring, and we were leading the game! We were 1-0 up to the break. After the break Molde changed their tactic and starting pushing us back, and for 19 minutes we managed to keep them away. But then Christian Langø scored for them. I thought they would push on for another goal, but they let us in to the game again, and in the 81th minute Gabriel Mejia (YP10a) scored after a very good attack! We held onto the lead all the way to the end, and that meant that we were Cup winners 2035! And of course, by winning the Cup, this happens! My biggest fear is that we will get an transfer offer that will get accepted by the chairman. Ulf Räikkiönen (YP13a) is wanted by a few big clubs at the moment, so he might be a bigger talent than I expected. *EDIT* Their last offer in the January transfer window. And for the first time we are getting players from other cities than Kautokeino that is norwegian. We have less players with the usual 5* PA, and that is a good thing at this point in the save. And that is of course the game against Anderlecht! We're in for another tough year. Hopefully we won't have the infamous "second season syndrome"! Starting XI the first game of the season. GK RB - CB - CB - LB DM RM - CM - LM ST - ST The biggest problem in the team at the moment is the center backs, as they just are not good enough at this level. Our best striker, Gabriel Mejia (YP10a) is actually our best CB as well, so he might be dropping down to play there, as we have a couple of striker talents that should grow fast if they get the chance to play.
