Champions League 2045/2046

We was drawn against FC Bayern München in the first knockout round this time around. A team that is almost untouchable in the Bundesliga!

The first game was tight, and could have ended different. But managing to surivive the second game with "only" four goals conceded was a miracle, as they were all over us! But in the end we actually managed to win the penalty shoot out, a got a place in the Quarter Final.

There we faced Olympique Lyonnais.

In the first game we were brilliant! Especially Niall Hardwick (YP19b) shone in that game, and ended up scoring a hat-trick. I may have rotated a bit to much going in to the second game, and we ended up losing that one 0-2. It was a close game though, and 0-2 might have flattered them quite a but. In the end we won 4-3 on aggregate.

In the Semi-Final we were drawn against Real Madrid Club de Fútbol.

We were the best team in the first game and had three goals disallowed. In the end the game ended 1-1. Real Madrid could have scored 7-8 goals in the second game, and we're lucky we scored two goals.

Real Madrid lost the final 1-2 to Marseille!

Great start to a decent month. We lost a point against Molde, as we conceded a late goal.

Champions League 2046/2047 Groups

We get a "easy" group this year, top two should be no problem. The last team is FC Shakhtar Donetsk.

Even though we won the league with 13 points down to the second place this was not a good season for us. 5 drawn games and two lost is not good, and sees us eight points below our total from last season. We would not even have finished second last season with 74 points! We won the league though, and that is the most important thing.

This was a weird group. Nothing ended the way I thought really! But at least we went unbeaten, and we're through to the next round, where we will face Crystal Palace!

Has yet to play  single game for Crystal Palace. That was a bad choice of club! Is wanted by West Ham at the moment.

Youth Intake 2047

Well... This is bad. I will sign all the tagged players, but none of them will make it... Probably.

This is the best player sorted by PA.

*EDIT*

The power went out in my house, and I lost the first intake. This is the second one and it's just as bad as the first one.

A new record for the total amount of players called up! 11 of those being for the Norwegian team! Marius Karlstad (YP23a) and Hans Emil Gabrielsen (YP23b) being the newest members.  Hans Emil has not made his debut for us yet, and is perhaps the biggest surprise this time around.

Champions League 2046/2047

First up, Crystal Palace! Last season they finished 4th in the Premier League, this season they finished way down in 12th, so it should be possible to beat them!

375e2d7b97953a61d8c11c38813a535f.png80326e55477f669443a66cca7b363b04.png

And that is just what we did, 6-2 on aggregate. We had no problems in any of the games, and had a total of 49 shots over the two games!

Next team, SS Lazio. The Serie A winners from last season. Managed by Trent Alexander-Arnold!

dd8db67ad2b0b834c523a481e7c56146.pngd2ad7172378a9fc34d17b9f97d6fc291.png

Two more incredible games, and we win the tie 8-1! They scored on the only shot they had on goal in the first game.

The next team we were drawn against was Manchester City. They finished second in the Premier League last season, seven points behind Chelsea. But this season they finished way down in 10th, 36 points behind league winners Chelsea!

5f0c8b09960dfc6de1bf657678306d8b.pngd74623c42cdee4ea33a75bcd4af16f0c.png

And we met them at the perfect time, as they had four key players out with long term injuries (probably one of the reasons they finished that far down in the PL to be honest), and on a bad run of games. That really showed, as we beat them 4-1 on aggregate! Very similar type of game to the Lazio and Crystal Palace meetings.

That means we're facing Arsenal in the Champions League final! They finished this season second behing Chelsea in the Premier League, so it will be another tough game! I have yet to play that game, so that will be the next update.

What a journey! Took me a few sittings to get through but congrats on persevering, those 5/6 seasons in what was it the third or second division, just managing to stay up probably helped in the build to where you are now.

Absolutely outstanding achievement! Followed this for a few weeks now, it's been a wonderful read.

@Warg92I'd love to get your take on the Norwegian team I should take over for my next save. Sogndal, Fredrikstad or Ranheim, which one do you think?

Thank you for following! Sorry for the laste answer, and I guess you already have decided for a team? If not I would go for Sogndal, as they are known for their great youth development!
