We are slowly integrating the new signings and most of them are on the bench for now The plan is to play Mejbri as our play maker and move Bellingham back into the Box To Box Midfielder role. Exciting times! Ironic that i brought bellingham coz Mejibri didn't want to sign a new contract and eventually was sold. Ironic. Mejibri is VERY good, but don't ever ask him to score a goal. DavidBeckham
12 December 2024 Midfielders Dear Diary, Today's going to be all about our midfielders. Cannibal Mejbri has been excellent for me, scoring 6 and creating 7 in 16 starts while forming a decent partnership with Bellingham. Our best academy graduate in my tenure so far is developing along nicely. Together with Mejbri and Bellingham, we have three really youthful and promising midfielders. Bellingham hasn't developed much though. He hasn't performed up to my expectations, scoring only one goal in twenty starts.. ..but it's an excellent one! DavidBeckham
19 May 2025 End of Season 24/25 Dear Diary, We continued to progress in the league this campaign and managed to finish closer to the Champions League places behind Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea. We didn't do too well in the domestic cup competitions this time round. Man City knocked us out in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup and our boys fell to an extra-time 1-2 defeat against Brighton in the FA Cup 5th Round. The boys continued to perform well in Europe, winning all of our games to the semi-finals where AC Milan were too strong for us Our squad is still behind the big 6 in terms of quality but the lads did well again to finish ahead of their expectations. Esposito & Mejbri both had decent seasons and dominated our End of Season Awards \o/ ..and the struggle to close the gap on the big 6 begins!

DavidBeckham
9 August 2025 Transfer Struggles Dear Diary, We have cash to spend but most of the players who can take us closer to the big six aren't willing to join us. A new number one, a set-piece specialist, a promising right-winger and an upgrade in the left-back position were prioritized. Aaron is slightly better than our old number one. I made the decision to bring him in as Omlin is in his thirties and entering the final year of his contract. The fact that Aaron's English will help with the foreign players' quota. Juan was brought in on loan two years ago and grew to be our best left-back in no time. When he left last campaign, we looked vulnerable defensively and I feel we had to bring him back. With extra cash in the bank, I was willing to overpay to sign the Spaniard permanently. We need upgrades down our wide attacking positions badly but there are no ready-made players who were willing to move to St Andrew's. Gabriel was a squad player at Real Madrid and he has room to grow into a decent right winger. I'm pinning my hopes on his potential to come good for us eventually and seal that right wing spot. ..another tough start awaits.. DavidBeckham
25 May 2026 End of Season 25/26 Dear Diary, We've done it! Champions League football is coming to St Andrew's next season \o/ We took more risks and played higher up the field in away league games and it paid off as we improved considerably on our points total. Exciting times lie ahead! We were knocked out of both domestic cup competitions in the quarter-finals as we prioritized the league and played our fringe players this campaign. The boys were brilliant in the group stages again, winning all 6 games but we came up short against a very strong Roma outfit in the quarter-finals. The heroes who secured Champions League football for the Blues! Left-back Miranda turned out to be a superb signing, Nelson reached double figures for goals and assists before breaking his ankle in April () and Esposito was an absolute goal machine. What a season. On a negative note, we get less money to upgrade our squad to close the gap on the giants in the Champions League
DavidBeckham
23 August 2026 Negative Net Spend Dear Diary, The board gave us little to spend to prepare ourselves for our 1st ever season in the Champions League. We went a step further and achieved negative net spend this summer. Barry and De la Fuente were brought in for free and 46k pounds respectively and they were sold for a healthy combined profit of 35.7 million pounds. We made full use of the loan market to strengthen our wide areas with a couple of familiar faces. The boy is back! Brewster spent 5 seasons on loan at St Andrew's before Liverpool recalled him back in the last 2 seasons. The Inside Forward was very much a squad player back at his parent club and became available on loan this summer. I snapped him up immediately. Like Brewster, Gabriel was a previous loanee at the cub but didn't impress in his solitary season in Birmingham. He has improved on his game since, spending two full seasons on loan in Italy and performing admirably. He will provide some much needed depth in our attacking positions in the upcoming campaign. Sunjic is declining and we needed to plan for his eventual departure. Nohan was brought in from Spurs to be the Croatian's successor and he will compete with his predecessor for games in the midfield holding role. Harvey turned out to be our biggest signing this summer. The Englishman spent 4 seasons on loan at 3 different English clubs and struggled to secure his place in Liverpool's squad. He has developed well though and I think he will strengthen the right side of our attack considerably this campaign \o/ Ce sont les meilleures équipes Es sind die allerbesten Mannschaften The main event Die Meister Die Besten Les grandes équipes The champions Une grande réunion Eine grosse sportliche Veranstaltung The main event Die Meister Die Besten Les grandes équipes The champions Ils sont les meilleurs Sie sind die Besten These are the champions Edited March 7, 2020 by DavidBeckham

Sunjic has been my 1st choice midfield anchor since I arrived and the club captain has shown incredible consistency throughout his eight years at the club. Liverpool stood in our way of my 1st silverware with the Blues and the boys were excellent on the day, dominating possession and shots statistics as we emerged 1-0 victors. Haaland bagged the winner \o/ We fielded our reserves throughout the competition until the second leg of the semi-finals, when it came to my sudden realization that we can actually win this. A weakened eleven did brilliantly in the 1st leg of our semi-finals against Man United before the first-teamers came in to finish the job. Legends. Let's hope this is the 1st of many! DavidBeckham
31 May 2027 Football, bloody hell! Dear Diary, I still can't f****** believe it! We finished top of the league, 4 points ahead of the Manchester clubs after I decided to play a more progressive style of football. We no longer play on the counter away from home and against the big 6, and I gave the boys the freedom to attack teams at home. That paid off handsomely as we emerged champions! Unbelievable. The whole squad was fantastic in the domestic cup competitions. In addition to the Carabao Cup, the boys were superb in the oldest national football competition in the world, especially in the latter stages as we eliminated Man City, Liverpool and Man United in the quarters, semis and final respectively. Unbelievable. The lads surprised me further in Europe. In our maiden Champions League campaign, we were drawn into the group of death with Barcelona, Dortmund and Benfica. Defying all odds, we finished top of the group but were unlucky with the draw again as we faced a tall order against PSG. Haaland's double sent us into the quarters, where we face my old club in another tough knockout tie. It was extremely emotional for me as we went thru on penalties after two very even games. Skipp was our hero in the semi-finals as his perfectly-timed double away at Bayern knocked the Germans out. Another German club stood in our way of the trophy and things got off to a terrible start. After Haaland smashed his penalty wide early in the game, Schalke pounced on an error from Chabot to put themselves in the lead. Esposito replaced the stricken Haaland in the second half and bagged the equalizer with a decent finish. We went into extra-time 1-1 and things stayed leveled until the 118th minute, when another substitute (Jude Bellingham) pounced on a loose pass like how Giggsy did against Arsenal in the treble season. My son went on a mazy run before delivering a pinpoint cross for Esposito to volley home his second. Unbelievable. Mavropanos, Bellingham, Brewster, Martinelli, Marmol, Sunjic and Esposito have all been with me since the Championship days. They grew, they developed, and they have now won everything. Absolute legends :**) He is the Premier League Players' Young Player of the Year, our Fans' Player of the Season, and the scorer of our Goal of the Season. The Frenchman had a fantastic year to say the least. 'Cannibal' Mejbri ate up his opponents and finished the campaign with 14 goals and 12 assists in a record-breaking season. What a player. However, Mejbri was not the player who impressed me the most. My right-back did. The Chilean doesn't appear to have the best quality on the ball but he somehow ended the campaign with 2 goals and 15 assists from right back. He was also Champions League's Defender of the Season. A fantastic bargain at 18.25 million pounds. The goal machine. 30 goals. Top Scorer in the Champions League. Enough said. Last but not least, my son. The Vice-Captain. The Academy Graduate. Jude 'Birmingham'. Given how this season had gone, and with 400 games under my belt, is it time for me to move on to pastures new? Joy is absolutely crucial in my life and I did not want to lose the joy of managing this very young and capable squad which I built from scratch. DavidBeckham
17 September 2019 The First Job Dear Diary, I'm the new Preston Manager. This is the club where possibly the biggest football star ever (Becks) gained his first-team football experience. This is also where David Moyes made his name as a manager. We are tipped to finish 13th but it is a long way up from where we are in the table. We have a decent Championship-level starting 11 but the defensive backups aren't quite good enough. We are also badly lacking in pace down the wings, apart from Scotty Sinclair. Nevertheless, we will have to cope with what we have for the next 3-4 months. On the bright side, we have a very strong group of central midfielders and Johnson is the best of the lot. We were rock-bottom in mid-September and the squad was full of injured, unfit and unhappy players. I had to organise numerous friendlies to get the returning players match fit as we do not have a reserve or u23 side. Results improved with the upturn in morale and fitness. There was a marked improvement in results when our only natural left-back returned to full fitness, and we are now on a six-match unbeaten run. DavidBeckham
1 January 2020 Climbing up the Table Dear Diary, We are improving with each game.. The boys continued to impress in the next one and a half months and we have 6 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat in our last 9. The highlight was without a shadow of a doubt our 7-0 home win against Luton, when we went 6-0 up after half and hour. The low point came when we went for the kill at Leeds after they went down to 10 men. We lost 2-3 eventually after switching off on a counter-attack and a set-piece. We have come a long way since I came into the picture and the lads have done brilliantly to climb 16 places in the league. We now sit 8th after 25 games. The best performing player has to be our main man up top. Maguire has been on a fine goal-scoring run, bagging 7 in his last 9 starts. We would be no where near where we are in the table without his goals and work rate upfront. He's injury prone though and I will be praying hard that he can stay fit for the rest of the season.
