Cheers, BitnerĀ Cheers lads! It was a scary set of fixtures to start with in our maiden Premier League campaign but the lads gave me a pleasant surprise by winning comfortably at Everton \o/ That Arsenal home win nearly gave me a heart attack though. We went 3-0 up in the 1st half and with our first-choice left-back nursing a knock, I didn't want to take any risks. In came Pedersen and we conceded 2 goals from his mistakes. WeĀ went into the last ten parking the bus andĀ thankfully, we hung on for the 3 points!Ā Ā Ā Edited December 4, 2019 by DavidBeckham
DavidBeckham
1 November 2020Ā Enjoyable Start Dear Diary, I LOVE THIS GAME! We have had three draining, but definitely enjoyable months back in the top flight. There were losses and draws here and there but we have not been humiliated by any Premier League outfits thus far. However, we crashed out of the Carabao Cup at the first hurdle and I take full responsibility as I made the decision to field lotsĀ of debutants who can't even speak English.Ā Ā The lads have played to the maximum of their abilitiesĀ and we sit nicely in 7th position after 11 games. I know we won't stay so high in the table for too long but I'm just gonnaĀ enjoy it while it lasts!Ā The boyĀ has been ourĀ best-performing player so far. Just look atĀ him! DavidBeckham
20 March 2021Ā Survival Dear Diary, WE ARE STAYING UP SAY WE ARE STAYING UP! With 8 games remaining, we sit in 6th on 51 points andĀ have guaranteed ourselves another season in the top flight \o/Ā Incredible season by the boys so far! We have also overachieved in the FA Cup by progressing to the semi-finals after eliminating Crystal Palace, Preston, Bolton and Newcastle. Spurs, Liverpool and Arsenal are the other semi-finalists and we will have to do very well to progress further.Ā Ā Alena has been immense for us throughout the season and he is arguably our best performing playerĀ thus far. Apart from controlling the midfield in most games, he has baggedĀ 6 goals and 11 assists in a very productive campaign. With his Barcelona contract expiring in the summer, I offered all the money the club could affordĀ to the Spaniard but he broke my heart by choosing Inter Milan.Ā Definitely the lowest I have felt so farĀ

DavidBeckham
29Ā May 2022 End of Season 21/22 Dear Diary, We are 7th! Despite this being our 1st season back in the top flight, the boys adapted well and improved as footballers with one full season in England's top division under their belts. The aimĀ was to build a young squad with boys who have room to grow right from the start and develop themĀ into Premier League footballers when we get there. They have done exactly that! I was responsible for the early Carabao Cup exit after I made the stubborn decision to handĀ debuts to players who don't know English and haven't played together before. We had a brilliant cup run in the FA Cup though, going all the way to the semis but we had a player sent off early in a veryĀ tough tie against Arsenal.Ā We were eliminated in a 0-2 loss eventually. Incredible achievement by the young squad to finish 7th in our 1st season back in the top flight \o/ This is Mavropanos' second full season on loan at the St Andrew's and he has been our leader at the back in the Premier League. He was available on a permanent transfer in JanuaryĀ and we snapped him up immediately for 6.75 million pounds. It's so nice not having to worry about not having him next campaignĀ Sunjic has been the unsung hero in our team, doing the dirty work and holding our midfield superbly in his maiden campaign in arguably the toughest league in the world. With Bellingham, we have two very capable central midfielders for the next five years if we can hold off interests from the bigger clubs.Ā I was worried about Bellingham's development at the end of last season but he has squashed my worries with his 8 goals and 8 assists this campaign. The boy has taken his game to the next levelĀ and he is now Premier League quality. Man United, Spurs and Watford are all interested in him though! Let's hope his head isn't turned Brian was such a great find by our scouts from the MLS and he has taken the yearĀ to settle in the country and develop his game further. He will start most gamesĀ down our right flankĀ next season and I have high hopes thatĀ he can take his game to the next level \o/Ā Our fans' player of the season, Premier LeagueĀ players' young player of the year, Birmingham's record holder for the mostĀ player of the match awards, and possibly my best loan signing ever is leaving the club
DavidBeckham
30 July 2022 Replacing our Player of the Season Dear Diary, TheĀ summer was very much about replacing Alena. Alena was our set-piece taker/midfield metronome and we needed someone who has similar levels of technical ability to replaceĀ the Spaniard. I was looking at the relegated sides and found a suitable replacementĀ who scored 8 goals at Crystal Palace last campaign.Ā Signing him would be against our policy of signing young players butĀ I went for it anyway as I did not want to risk losing our set-piece threat and control in midfield. Ruslan will go straight into our starting 11 to form a new midfield triangle with Bellingham and Sunjic.Ā Apart from replacing Alena, we had to fill the hole left behind by Kieftenbeld's departure. Our 'Scholsey' in the Championship struggled to adapt to Premier League's pace and with the 31-year-old's contract up in the summer, we chose to let him go. We went against our transfer policy again and brought in another experienced international with good set-piece delivery. Pulgar is extremely determined to succeed in the Premier League and I'm sure he will be a valuable addition to our squad this season.Ā Our backup keeper was allowed to leave the club after we decided not to renew his contract and we took the chance to sign a decent keeperĀ from Basel. Omlin is a good shot-stopper and he's pushing Sportiello very hard to start the season in goalĀ with hisĀ excellent performances in training. With Sportiello holding the no. 13 jersey, I gave the Swiss the number one jersey anyway! New season, let's go!

DavidBeckham
4 FebruaryĀ 2023 Big January Signing Dear Diary, We only signed one this JanuaryĀ but it could be big. Haaland was running down his contract at Salzburg and was available on a cut-price deal. I took the plunge and signed him for 10 million pounds as I didn't want to risk losing out to clubs attempting to sign him on a free. However, our scouts have voiced concerns about his injury record and if we can keep him fit, this could be one of my most important signings. Things have gone well in the league so far. We haveĀ passed the halfway mark and currentlyĀ sit in 5th position after a decent start to the campaign. However, with Man United and Spurs lingering behind us, we will have to do very well to finish best of the rest again.Ā Edited December 20, 2019 by DavidBeckham

DavidBeckham
5 June 2023 End of Season 22/23 Dear Diary, We have secured European football! The boys continued to improve and we finished in 5th position behind Liverpool, Chelsea, Man City and Arsenal. It may seem like we aren't tooĀ far off from Champions League football but the top 4 are a massive 18 points ahead. We will strive for constant improvement though!Ā Ā Ā We didn't do too well in the cups this season. The boys failed to overcome Bournemouth in 90 mins and paid the price in the penalty shootout. Man United was too strong for us at Old Trafford as we were eliminated 0-4 in the FA Cup 4th Round after we went gung-ho in the latter stages of the game. We go again next campaign! We suffered from an incredible injury crisis in the second half of the season and lost our first-choice goalkeeper, center-back, box-to-box midfielder and left inside forward toĀ mid-long term injuries. Thankfully, we didn't fall too far down the table during thisĀ tough period and hung on to the European places when the injured players returned towards the end of the campaign.Ā Ā Ā Ruslan came in last summer to replace our player of the season (Alena) and performed admirably, scoring 7 goals and creating 6 in 25 league appearances. Unfortunately, injury struck and he was unable to play for the last 2-3 months of the season. With age not on his side, I'm praying that he can steer clear of injuries in our maiden European campaign next year.Ā Bellingham continued to develop his game but his goals and assists dried up after we moved him further ahead in our midfield trio. He took over Alena's role as Ruslan is more proficient as a box-to-box midfielder. I'm seriously considering moving my son back to the role where he excelled but a part of me feels that he can improve and perform better in the advanced midfield role. Tough decisions lie ahead! Our player of the season! Esposito has been on loan from Inter Milan for the past three campaigns and he hasĀ taken his game to such an unexpectedly high level after we started him in every league game this year. He has 25 goals and 5 assists in all competitions and we will be nowhere near the European spots without the Italian Wonderkid. Unfortunately, Inter Milan refused to send him here on loan for a fourth consecutive season.. ..we had an optional future fee included in our loan deal though! \o/

DavidBeckham
12 August 2023 Esposito and the rest Dear Diary, Majority of our budget was spent on making Esposito's loan deal permanent and the rest was used to replace our ageing number two keeper and backup full-backs. Montiel was the only option of the right quality available on the market and we proceeded to secure the deal swiftly as soon as the window opened. The Argentinian international is very strong mentally and typically marks his man well in games. However, he will start the season on the bench as he doesn't know English yet.Ā We had no choice but to sign an English keeper as we were struggling to meet the foreign players quota. There were better quality on the market for sureĀ but none of them were English and we had no choice but to sign Freddie up as our goalkeeping backup for the campaign.Ā Ā Miranda is by far my favourite signing of the summer. Despite him being arguably the player with the most quality among all our signings, we paid no transfer fee as Barcelona agreed to send him here on loan. The Spaniard is the best left-back at the club in terms of ability and if he can settle quickly, he will be one of the 1st names on our team sheet. We face another tough set of fixtures at the start of our campaign. New season, let's go! Ā Ā

DavidBeckham
3 June 2024 End of Season 23/24 Dear Diary, We solidified our position as the 'best of the rest' in the league as we inched closer towards the top 4. Last season, we finished 18 points behind the top 4 and we are now 8 points closer \o/ We did better in the domestic cup competitions this campaign. The boysĀ were unlucky in the Carabao Cup as our second string was knocked out on penalties in theĀ quarter-finalsĀ against West Ham. We were superb in the FA Cup and progressed all the way to the latter stages to face Chelsea in the semi-finals in the battle of the Blues. Unfortunately, despite an even game (I feelĀ we edged it), we lostĀ to an extra-time goal from a set-piece. Gutting. We were even better in Europe. The lads were perfect in the groups stages before eliminating the likes of OM, Roma and Lazio in the next threeĀ knockout stages. Man United (it has to be them) stood in our way of a 1st silverware under my tenure but we fell to another narrow 0-1 defeat against a top 6 English side. We matched the Red Devils but did not take our chances as we lost to a Mason Greenwood winner after our central defender lost the ball in our own half. Painful.Ā Ā Despite the obvious disappointments, I was pleased with the boys' performance levels as we went into the season with a similar squad as last season.Ā The Bellingham watch continues as my adopted son improved slightly on his end product this campaign. He finished the season with 5 goals and 8 assists in all competitions but his development stalled a little. It seems like he is only able to improve on his game every alternate season. Next season's development will be crucial. ..and the summer begins!

DavidBeckham
9 August 2024 Cannibal Dear Diary, We brought in 4 youthful and homegrown talents to plug the gaps left behind by the ageing departures. However, we are starting to feel that the squad has reached the threshold of the quality of players whom we are able to attract. Bringing in a player of Reiss' quality for a mere 6 million pounds was a no-brainer. He's English,Ā has decent ability/agility to beat a man and will get lots of game time in our upcoming campaign.Ā We brought in another Englishman in Oliver Skipp and he will add bravery, work rate and depth to our central midfield in our 2nd season in the Europa League. Greg is a solid little left wing-back who marks his man well and has good positional sense. He is also brave and hard-working off the ball and is very close to sealing the 1st choice left-back spot in our starting 11.Ā I'm most excited about signing Hannibal this summer. Not only does he have great hair, he has decent set-piece taking ability and great vision when picking out his team-mates in the attacking areas. We all have high hopes that 'Cannibal' Mejbri willĀ improve our midfield triangle in the upcoming campaign!Ā Ā Tough opening fixtures are quickly becoming a signature of our season Ā
