Lower Leagues Rule
Thats definitely a good result from that season TaylorB, hopefully you can keep an upwards progress and join AD Fafe in the Liga Sagres within a few seasons. I am still trucking along at the top half of the table, with the top 3 teams being joined by Guimaraes & Maritimo lining up with us. so with Sporting running away this season, and my loss to Porto, both without my Keeper saw Porto get 5 points clear of us, but we are ahead of Benfica and there is only 2 points cover the four of us from 3rd-6th. TaylorB
congrats on staying up TaylorB... realistically it was the only objective and mission accomplished. Exteberria looks a good prospect and could help with the goals.and i'm loving the naming of the seasons.... Thanks . I agree with it being the only objective although I would have liked a cup run but I'm happy with the season. I'm targetting Liga Sagres in the next 4 years tbh. Another couple of years of progression and then a promotion push. Sounds tight in your game! Have you got an easy run-in? Here's hoping you finish in the top 4 again
Lower Leagues Rule
Well it is pretty tight, and once I meet Benfica next week then it is an easy run in , so long as I can get rid of the injuries, I have top three strikers out and also my Keeper is in a bit of injury trouble as well. Think i just lost Tiago from the left wing as well. We will see.

Lower Leagues Rule
Des Tiny's Keeping the Fafe Liga Sagres 2026/27 End of Season Update Building A Dynasty Predicted: 4th Actual: 3rd Title Odds: 6-1 (2nd) League Cup: 3rd Round Portuguese Cup: Semi-Final Champs League: Group Stage: 3rd European Cup: Quarter-Final: Leg 1 - Leg 2 European Rank: 7th (12th) (1st in POR) Finances: 4th - 54M (POR, 44th in World) Season Tickets: 2197 The Season in General This season was dominated by injuries, at one point we had out three strikers and also our only senior goalkeeper. With several suspensions through the season as well our back-ups got a lot more game time than in previous seasons. Tiny ended up pretty happy across the board with the results in every single competition meeting or exceeding the boards expectations. The number of players featuring internationally was also a delight and the return of Radakovic to form was a delight to see. There were several top of the line transfers resulting in an exchange of about 10M pounds both in and out this season. He may have cost the club 3 million, but Fernando showed himself to be a true leader for the U20 Champion Brazilian side. The League With a great start in the league this season destroyed on the way towards the halfway stage, but with it being so tight all season between 2nd and 7th it meant that even a single extra win was going to make all the difference. Surprisingly to me this season we saw Sporting running away with the league and Benfica were really struggling. At one point Benfica were in 7th and looking like they may miss out on any Continental Competition in the next season, a clear slump season ended with them climbing to 5th overall. With us coming into the final three games in third we had to face three bottom half teams one home and two away and three wins would guarantee us a path into the Champions League as we were 3 pts clear. It ended a lot closer as in the second to last game we dropped to a draw against Vit. Setubal who fought to avoid relegation, then a victory in the final game of the season saw us make it home. Tarasenko was our top goalscorer in a season when he is leaving the club, he actually averaged over 8 in games after he had signed with Villareal, though we had also signed a huge replacement for next season and may see one of our other central defenders leave yet. The Cups With the board not worried about the league cup I used it to test some things out, and really we didn't do so badly, only our loss to Sporting kept us out of the next round, but I was satisfied. The Portuguese Cup was a different story as we went through comfortably until we ran into Benfica in the Semi-Final as for the first time in years the top 4 were Benfica, Sporting, Porto & us. We lost 1:0 away from home in what I thought was a great performance considering our injury concerns. Europe As we had our first season in the Champions league I was looking forward to it all, we were seeded first in our group, but it turns out we could not overcome our opposition and dropped to third and into the Euro Cup instead. We strolled through this all the way to the Quarter-Finals once more where we fell 3:3 on away goals to Serbian side Red-Star. i was not greatly disappointed here, but I am looking to improve on this in the coming season. The Youth Team Well our under 19s showed why we are renowned for having the best youth structure in the entire of Portugal once more as the took command to win both the League and the Cup giving them a double for the second time in four seasons. With some stunning Results they onlt lost one game all season and won the last twelve on the trot, these huge results are shown in the Players stats for the season. Youth Stars These guys were the true stars of the season for the youth side. None of them will probably ever make it into the senior side, but they have shown they are no pushovers. The Squad The Current squads season stats & all time stats. Goalkeepers Barrero (GK) - A big star in the backfield he made some stunning saves for the club this season and without him we wouldn't have been as good on defense as we turned out to be. He may have tough competition in the new season though with a new signing joining as well. Jaramillo (GK) - A player for the future and he would've been our squads back-up, but in January after no games I sent him on loan to Varzim, they didn't register him and so he only played 3 games. Pires (GK) - He stepped in for four games while Barrero was injured, one in the Euro Cup against Red Star where he conceded two goals, but still got a 7.6 rating. A surprise package as he actually gave us a shot in several games. Without him there is now way we would've got the results we did. Defense Benard (DR) - The number one right back, he has once again been nominated for the Full-back of the year award. At only 21 he has a huge future before him and will most likely lead the team for a long time. Especially if he can keep up the sort of form he has this season. Podgorelac (DR) - The Serbian came in halfway through the season and has almost pushed Foda out of the senior reserves, it is going to e a good battle as we continue into the new season, but one or the other is going to be missing out. Foda (DRL) - He fought off Schmitt at the beginning of the season to e the number one right back reserve, but then in the second half of the season he had to face off with Podgo and he really didn't do a great job with a plague of injuries putting him back down the pecking order. Borges (DRC) - A youth star in their season, but is purely a back-up measure there is no way he will make it into the top team. Sergio (DL) - To be able to gain 14 assists in one season shows a huge skill for a fullback, this guy can cross and he can run, he can dribble the ball and he can do it all at speed. Like his counterpart on the right hand side he is only 21 and will be here for a few years yet. Yakubu (DRLC) - Worked his way into a proper reserve position, before this season he had no number one position. Now he will replace Pereira and become the no. 2 Left back, but this also means if it is desperate he can cover the other defensive players as well. Pereira (DML) - Jose Lima is most likely on his way out as he has plummeted from no.1 to no.3 in just two quick seasons. Watch this space. rlipscombe
great season review once more. my comments: - as for your squad, Barrero looks a really good prospect in goal. Benard is a quality RB and you need to keep hold of him, although i think that will be hard. And Paulo Sergio is even better - i'd happily pay £10 million for him - great stats for an attacking fullback. Tarasenko going is a loss but Mendes and Stock are both good players. in midfield, Iranilson has good potential, as does Batista. Juan, Matic and Lung are also quality, as i have mentioned previously. i'd definately be bidding for Juan! there is also no doubting the quality of your strikers - good to see Radakovic back on form! - as for the new signings, all seem solid in unspectacular (at present!!) signings. are they all free transfers? - do you think your decline in goals prevented you from winning the league? are you going to bring in a new striker to help? i know injuries played a part mind. - hopefully you'll get through the group stages of the Cl this season. good luck Des. i think there's a CHANCE you might win the league next season... Lower Leagues Rule
Yeah the squad is quite a good line-up coming together there. Novais is my replacement for Tarasenko and has cost a bit of money, but he looks to be a clear back-up for Mendes and Stock he cost a little. The rest of them were all young players I bought in as future cover incase I need them. I have been thinking about another striker to get more goals, but after taking out the period where I was without my three strikers I actually scored more goals on average than the seasons before. I think I just need to focus on a little more rotation to prevent training injuries and hope that will help me out. I think the reason I missed out on the league has to be that I face the top three in a period of 4 weeks twice, second time without my strikers haha. rlipscombe
sounds like injuries are the key then...
TaylorB
Dissapointing season in my eyes LLR. Especially in the European cup where it looks like you could have and perhaps should have progressed against Red Star, although you did get lucky to draw the first leg. Fernando looks like a cracking buy, and could be the perfect replacement for Radakovic with him being matured hopefully by the time Radakovic ends his career, although it doesn't look like happening any time soon. Would you say you rely on him and his goals a bit too much now? Although, funny to see your best season was last year imo and Radakovic didn't fire. I'm very, very excited by the look of Carli. He seems to have good attributes in key areas for an AMC; he seems better suited there than AMR. Sad to see Tarasenko leave, he has an outstanding goal-scoring record this season but Emiliano looks like he could be a fantastic player if trained correctly. Another great update, and good luck on the season next year
Lower Leagues Rule
Yeah the European Cup was to me the biggest disappointment. I could not get the result, and that first leag I had my reserve goalie (Pires) in the net, and I believe I also had no strikers (Fernando playing). This meant I was very lucky to draw, and then had to try and win away. Realistically we are better than them, its just hard to win with the injuries. Yeah actually amusing to me that when Radakovic lost his goals we actually started winning, was a little crazy. I think I fixed up the problem at the back with defense, but I think now my scoring is not as high as I would want so I am going to have to push all the players for the next season. TanO
2030/31 G D R Monsanto End of Season Update Monsanto can't match expectations After a long break due to work/family commitments I'm finally back to lead Monsanto to their first glory days ! In my last update in May, Monsanto had just finished the 2029/30 season with their best league finish, 2nd to Porto and had qualified for the Champions league for the first time in their history. Despite the tough group, two fantastic performances against Inter to earn a draw saw us gain enough points to qualify for the first knockout round of the Champions League. Unfortunately the dream ended there when we ran into Shaktar Donetsk who went through thanks to a 79th minute penalty in the second leg. Still a good performance from our first effort in this competition. Champions league football took its toll on my players though and we failed to make it past the quarter finals in either of the domestic cup competitions and had a miserable finish to the season losing 7 of the final 9 games and ending up 5th. We're not even one of the "Big Four" ! Record £10M signing Ivan Pavlovic was our player of the season, but with no Champions League football next year he has already jumped ship to AC Milan, for £8M + 20% of the next transfer. I have also had to turn down a number of transfer requests, most notably from aussie striker Dennis Robinson, who is getting so good we just can't afford to lose him. He bagged a goal every 2 games this season. Next Season : Transfers We've lost some key players so it's time for a new breed to step up. Rudimar returns after a season at Panathinaikos, Striker Robert Mathieu comes in to support Robinson up front and we have a new record signing in £24.5M Adam Mkhwanazi smashing the previous record. Adam could be our first genuine superstar signing and my hopes are that he will help us attract better quality players. The aim is to return our focus to the league and try to do the double over Porto in the process ! Hopefully you can have a succesful campaign in the league and Europe next year instead of just the one. Meanwhile, in my save, my team are a bunch of bottlers. Chelsea4Lyf
Hey everyone. I'm gonna start a new game in this challenge. I did the challenge with Real Oviedo but for some reason for about 2 or 3 months I couldn't access this site so I just lost interest in it. I'm gonna start in France. Holidaying usually takes me ages but I'll start in the next few hours...
Chelsea4Lyf
After holidaying in France I came across FC Rouen. They have a good squad at the beginning and I have offered contracts to nearly all the players. Here's my Profile

TaylorB
TaylorB - Barreirense - 2012-13 'No "Barrier" Strong Enough To Stop Promotion Bid.' Predicted: 10th Actual: 2nd Portuguese Cup: Sixth Round League Cup: First Round Early Season. My early season transfers were completed before the previous season had ended as I had agreed deals for Spanish striker Javier Etxeberria; a promising striker who was certainly good enough for this level and indeed a higher level. The same could be said to a lesser extent about Antonio Caetano, who would be playing his home country and looked to have a bright future ahead of him. Right winger Fabien Dejean, was not as talented as the two strikers but he looked a good player for this level, in an area that needed backup. For a free transfer, there was nothing bad that could come out of this deal. In January Dutch midfielder Mohammed Stevens signed after being a free agent, signed for a six month basis tbh, just to provide back-up in our push for promotion. Squad | Transfers The League My aim at the start of the season was to cement the teams place in the Liga Vitalis, however, with the two strikers signed we finally had a potent strike partnership which after 5 games had propelled us two points clear at the top of the table. We never left the top two positions throughout the season, mainly thanks to never having a serious injury to a key player. Although, I am obviously ecstatic about gaining promotion, I'm also very cautious as only two players are up to Liga Sagres standard through my eyes. Throughout, the season, we plugged away when we needed to. This game vs Beira Mar proved this, we will need to do more of the same next year The Cups The League Cup kicked off our season against fellow Liga Vitalis team Estoril. To put it frankly, we played poorly over both legs and were knocked out at the First Round for the second successive season. We would go on to beat Estoril twice in the league. We fared better in the Portuguese Cup however as we made it to the Sixth Round, defeating top flight Belenenses on penalties en-route. We eventually succumbed to Braga, despite another Brave performance, losing one-nil at home. The 'Barrier'ense to Glory? Finances: Cash Injection One, Two, Three. Continued again: Three further cash injections were required to keep the finances from plummeting further, that makes it a total of six cash injections since I've been at the club. Hopefully, if we stay in Liga Sagres that should do our finances some good. The board have given me a transfer budget of £8k and a wage budget of £22k. Hopefully, my brand of attacking football that has got me to this stage despite not having the most talented side will keep me up, although it will be a mighty challenge. Lower Leagues Rule
Congrats on promotion Taylor. Hopefully you can stay up and enjoy the run along side myself and TanO. The finances are still poor for the first few seasons and are unlikely to improve drastically until you reach the Euro Cup. I have for only the second time sold 2000 season tickets and avg attendance is about 10000, Though 15m in TV revenue from Europe has kept me safe haha. Good Luck in the new season. I am just at the end of my newest preseason update on player movements and the games soon.
TaylorB
Cheers . Have you got any ideas on how best to find new players considering I only have a budget of £8k? Edit: Have upped it to £625k by budget adjustment.
Lower Leagues Rule
I believe in my first Liga Sagres Season I only went for Frees and basically was willing to just give up games against the bigger teams and just try to steal enough points to avoid relegation and nothing more... I'll look for you EDIT: I brought in 10 players for a total transfer fee of 2k. And I managed to avoid relegation and then make a few key purchases each season to climb the table

Lower Leagues Rule
Best result was against Arsenal, but most fun against Deportiva "B" don't ask me why they wanted to let their reserves get spanked Coming soon, had at least 3 big names leave, possibly 4 or 5. Lower Leagues Rule
Keeping the Fafe Liga Sagres 2027/28 PreSeason Update The Matches First up was the AD Fafe trial match, I put my best team together in the Shadow XI and my reserves jumped in as the "Under 19s" this was going to decide a large number of spots in the side. Especially when I had Juan, Tiago, Matic, Mendes, Perreira and a few others moaning about too much competition or wanting to play for a bigger side. the teams lined up against each other as below: Fafe Shadow XI vs "Fafe Under 19s" Barrero GK Demchenko Benard DR Podgorelac Sergio DL Perreira Stock DC Mendes Novais DC Marcelo Matic MR Oliveira Tiago ML Lung Juan MC Iranilson Batista MC Fernando Radakovic ST Cirrincione Fernando ST Schilder A few good looking match-ups in my trial and knowing that places really were up for grabs led to some stunning performances. Final Result: Fafe 2:1 U19s Goals: Radakovic (24), Batista (44) - Pereira (82) MoM: Pereira (U19 Res DC) Next up we headed off to our old foe Imortal, the feeder club since day one that we have thrashed by increasing numbers each season. Final Result: Imortal 0:11 Fafe Goals: Tiago (p3), Batista (8), Radakovic (12,28), Juan (16), Matic (24), Fernando [st] (40), Stock (42), Maradona (52,55), Fernando [mc] (81). MoM: Radakovic Next we had RC Strasbourg come to visit, everyone said this game was going to be close, I didn't have any doubts and early on we were justified. Final Result: Fafe 4:0 Strasbourg Goals: Radakovic (1,11,37) Maradona (66). INJ: Fernando [st] (79). MoM: Radakovic Our fourth game was a televised meeting with Arsenal, as 12,000 fans flocked to our ground to see the Gunners be defeated we provided them with a stunning display as we beat them comfortably. Final Result: Fafe 5:1 Arsenal Goals: Stock (8,12,45), Radakovic (54), Schilder (76) - McCormick (43). RED: Wakeford (48). MoM: Stock Then we went a travelling to Deportivo "B", I have no idea why any team would want their reserves to be humilated by a Champions League level team, but it seems these guys did and I completely dealt to them. Final Result: Deportivo "B" 0:21 Fafe Goals: Stock (3,14,42,59,63,71), Radakovic (9,21,64,p66), Maradona (11,25,31,32,47,52,55), Matic (23,24), Lung (57), Fernando [mc] (90+2). MoM: Stock Our final Pre-Season match up was with a little known Portuguese Club, Mirandes travelling here for the first time i was expecting to thrash them, but I treated it as a real game, so only 3 sub allowed (except injuries) and played to win again. Final Score: Mirandes 0:10 Fafe Goals: Batista (5,74), Radakovic (11,44), Stock (17), Maradona (29,48), Iranilson (p53,p62), Matic (56). MoM: Radakovic Pretty pleased with that Pre-Season as we head towards our Champions League Qualifying match against Espanyol. Hoping I can beat them to make it into the Group Stages, we need the money (not really), I just want the results. The Team The Leavers in 2027 Tarasenko --> Villarreal £5m - He was our solid club captain, but with a wealth of players in this position he was bound to go sooner or later. replaced by Stock & Novais in the top squad, good luck in Spain. Mendes --> Mallorca £5m - Our Vice-captain followed his captain out of the club and off to the greener pastures of spain, will be interesting to see what happens with our two DC's leaving at the same time. Both have sell-on clauses attached for extra profit. Tiago ---> At. Madrid £10m - He was constantly complaining about wanting a bigger club, well he got a new club, I don't see how it is bigger though. Lung & Silva will take his spot in the club. Pereira --> Torino £5m - No longer wanted in our club with both his positions more than covered. He moved with a decent price tag to give us £25m in takings so far this season. A great start. Juan --> He hasn't left yet, but is discussing 5 contracts with offers of £6.5m + Clauses, that will just add more money to the coffers after he was replaced by Iranilson in the starting line-up, he was another of the whiners wanting a bigger club. The new faces Novais --> Dinamo Kiev £6.75m - He is a former player from Fafe in the days when Tarasenko & Mendes were at their peak, he left for a large fee and has now returned in his prime, looks clas and can get better as well. A hefty price tag but he should prove his worth. Silva --> Gremio £1.7m - A star for the future on the left wing, definitely playing in the Under 19s this season. Will back up Lung otherwise. Demchenko --> Zorya £1.7m - A goalie for the future, he will stand behind Barrero for this season at least, once he comes of age he will most likely take over. There were two other minor signings, but they are not important right now. How I see the Squad Goalkeeper Barrero (22) - He will be starting as soon as he clears his injury, he should be the number one choice, unless something miraculous happens while he is out. Due back 18 August. Demchenko (18) - He is my back-up this season and will play for my Under 19s on a regular basis. Hopefully he can improve enough in the early season to give him a shot later on to rest Barrero. Jaramillo (20) - Another season on loan beckons for him, I am suggesting to him he goes to Liga Vitalis side Beira-Mar this season. He is probably going to be unlucky in a side that now has two leading goalies, but if Demchenko is not good enough come the start of next season to be in the top side he will go on loan and Jaramillo will stay at home. Right Back Benard (22) - He is the strength of this position, comfortably better than all his opposition right now, and will hold down the starting slot. We have some good up and coming cover for him, but hopefully he has an injury free season. Foda (19) - He is out injured for 3-4 months, but he is currently the clear back-up in this position and will try to claim his spot back, of course if Podgo improves then Foda will go on loan in January. Podgorelac (18) - Going to turn out for our U19s for most of the season, though we will definitely have to use him early on in the season until such time as Foda returns from injury, will be looking to replace Benard in a few seasons time. Left Back Sergio (21) - Comfortably clear of his opposition, he will lead the left hand side, in combination at the back with Benard I really cannot see any Fullback problems for a fair few years to come. Yakubu (20) - A back-up mainly for Sergio, but he can also cover the right side, and the Centre if he is needed, he has all-star potential, but he will need some games to reach that. Centre Backs Novais (23) - Having returned from a small sabbstical to the club where he had spent a couple of seasons as a back-up he looks the goods now and will step into the starting line-up from day one, between him and his partner Stock there are very few strikers who will get through. Stock (21) - A couple of years younger than his partner, Stock is great with his head and as he showed in the preseason he is able to use that to score and to defend. A long career ahead of him if he can keep on track. Marcelo (22) - He looked so promising, but nothing has come of it, looks to be a career back-up in the making as he cannot perform at a high enough level to knock the others off. Emiliano (18) - This guy is more likely to be the future, will spend another season chasing the ball for the youth team though, hopefully showing the defense down there how to play and making sure they repeat their double. Right Wings Matic (24) - The star of the show, Matic is going to try and run the league again from the right wing. One of the oldest hands in the team as well which shows the potential of this squad if I can manage to keep them all together in the future. Castillo (19) - The 19 year old Ecudorian is going to be a star in the future, but not right away he is going to need some training under the watchful eye of Matic. He will start against Espanyol though as Matic is signing a ban from last season. Oliveira (18) - Heading to the Under 19s for at least this season, possibility as a loan star next year, we will see what other teams we can get to feed these players out too. Left Wings Lung (18) - A young starlet he had surpassed Tiago early on in the preseason and looks like the perfect compliment to the rest of the attacking nature of this side, he will not let us down and has a huge career before him. Silva (18) - Silva has some big boots to fill following the departure of Tiago, but he is likely to spend most of his season in the U19s. Centre Mids Batista (20) - Having pushed Rocha out of the side late in the season, Batista has moved in as a strength in the midfield and is planning on running things as he is the dominate player, with an MC/AMC centre he is the playmaker while the other provides and defends. Iranilson (18) - Having replaced Juan as the other midfielder he is showing that Youth can beat experience as he jumped past two 19 year olds to take the slot. He also knows there is competition, so he may yet end up playing for the youth side. Alejo (19) - Alejo is the DM of the future, a change in tactic though has seen him drop from the best chance at a start, he is now going to play back-up and also come on if we need to defend a lead. Fernando [mc] (19) - One of two Fernando's now in the squad will play as the second back-up in this great young looking midfield. If these guys can work together a chance at the title is really on for this season. Carli (18) - The Youth, a versatile midfielder he is going to make big waves in the future. Rocha (24) - Having been supplanted he is now questioning where to go, I will probably sell him on before the end of the season. Strikers Radakovic (31) - The old dog seems to have some new tricks and he just keeps performing, he is clearly in his twilight years and will be looking to move onto the bench soon. Fernando looks like the best replacement. Maradona (23) - The New dog, Maradona has been around for a few seasons, he has learnt from Radakovic and he has provided the opportunities, now is his chance to chase down some records and start scoring the goals so that he can take over once Aleks retires. Fernando [st] (21) - The leading back-up, Fernando should be able to replace Radakovic by january, but we will have to wait and see how his development goes. Schilder (20) - To have been passed over is a little disappointing, but he still has a comfortable future at the club.

PRDH
Right. I'm just going to bring you all up to speed on something. So Champions League: I qualified from my group in second place behind Man Utd to progress to face Chelsea in the knockout round. We drew 1-1 at home. We took the lead against Chelsea to go ahead on aggregate. But then Chelsea scored 2 and we were heading out. Until - in the 93rd minute Guido scores to put Domegliara through on away goals. Next up we faced AC Milan in the quarters. We lost 2-1 away, but got the away goal. We went ahead early in the second leg, to be ahead on away goals again. But, in the 71st minute Milan scored, putting them 3-2 up on aggregate. In the 81st minute though, we scored again. And then we scored again in the 86th minute to progress to the semi-finals for the first time. Definitely riding our luck in the cup. In the semis we faced Benfica. In the first leg (away) we won 1-0 and then brought them back to Domegliara to beat them 2-0. Comfortable, and our place in the final was secured, where we would play Valencia. So, the domestic season has finished and after a last day 4-1 defeat to Roma, we head into the final. Kick-off 14 mins - Frank Heß rises to head home a corner. 1-0 38 mins - Valencia equalise. 1-1 41 mins - Lucero scores!! 2-1 Domegliara! Half-time 47 mins - Lucero scores a second!! 3-1 Domegliara! Is that the goal that seals it? 70 mins - No! Valencia score their second to claw back into the tie. 3-2 88 mins - The Domegliara fans can relax. Rus breaks down the right, cuts in, and slots it underneath the 'keeper to put his team 4-2 up. 90 + 1 mins - And if some Domegliara fans were still worried Pastore flicks the ball round the corner on the halfway line and Kocabas gets to it first, runs past two defenders before powering a shot in at the near post. 5-2! It's turned into an embarrassingly easy game. Full-time - Domegliara have won the Champions League!! The challenge is complete!! That's right, Domegliara, promoted to Serie C2/C in 2009 have in 2026 won the Champions League, the season after they claimed an historic Serie A title. Full update will be up in the next couple of days.

PRDH
Congrats PRDH, and even more so forhaving led DOmegliara to the title... Thanks!! Luckily I still have motivation to carry on. I want the Club World Championship, European Super Cup and the Coppa Italia. Then I'll have the full set except for the Serie C Cup. Also I want to finish Pastore's career. See how many games he can play and how many he can score. And it would be nice to do the double next season. I've just moved into a new flat so don't have the internet, so the update might take a while to arrive. But once it does I can move onto the Pre-season update for the next season, which should make interesting reading, there has been a lot of movement. TaylorB
Great season again daemonic. Ortega looks a beast, assisting 30 out of 84 goals is crazy! Not losing a single game is very impressive aswell. Shame about the boring champions league final though. Meanwhile, I'm second in the league! Edit: Just lost 4-2 away to Benfica, their fourth being in the 89th minute. My home made sexy football tactic does seem to be working, hopefully I'll stay up. daemonic
Thanks TaylorB and PRDH. Yeah, Ortega, Vicente and a couple of other youth products I'm putting in the first team for the new season are really keeping my interest in this save going. PRDH
Quick question for everyone. What are the rules on international management? I've technically completed the challenge and Italy have offered me the job. Am I allowed to take it if I want to (I'm still not decided).

I'm in the same boat as you Rlips, we started this whole run on the Jose thread in '08 and we are the two still going at it haha. I can't stop on this Fafe game though it is stunning. Loving it all. PRDH
**End of Season Update - Domegliara - Serie A - 2025/26** Transfers It was a fairly busy transfer window as Domegliara went after the Champions League win. The first of the arrivals was Mendes - a young Brazilian winger who set me back £220K. Next in was the remaining 50% of Martin Wagner again. Then came Daniele Felici from Inter for £5M, he didn't stay long, joining Chelsea for £9.5M after spending only 8 days at the club. Next was the big signing of the summer. Sinan Kocabas arrived from Porto for a club record £22M. He is the first striker I've had for a long time who's had any significant pace. The best bit about him is his ability to use both feet. After this was a Romanian youngster, Christian Constantin is an exceptionally gifted forward. I hope he has a great future at the club especially as he only cost £575K Next in was another striker, Portuguese player Ivo Periera joined from Turkish side Kayserispor for £6.5M. Another international player joins the squad. The next deal saw Domegliara snap up Antonio Toscano in a co-ownersip deal. It's a bit of a gamble as he is untested at the top level. But given playing time could become a very useful player. Finally, Francesco Marinelli arrived from France in a £2.5M deal. The goalkeeper comes in as one for the future. Next are the departures. Antonio Velardi joins Genoa in a £7M deal. He has lost his place in midfield to Peluso and is a heavy burden on the wage bill. The biggest surprise departure is probably that of Bent Hansen. The player joined Domegliara as a 16 year old and made 251 league appearances for the club. He joins Roma for £22.5M. I'm disappointed that he's gone, especially to nemeses Roma, where he links up with former Domegliara players Dessena, Pellegrini and Mariani. To be fair though it's a cracking return on the initial £240K, and his record of 68 goals in 251 games is hardly world beating. Good luck to the lad. He'll always have a place in Domegliara history. January brought only departures as the complicated history of Martin Wagner came to an end as he joined Lazio for £7M and Daniel Marrone joined Liverpool for £10M+. League Following up last season's success in the league, much was expected of the Domegliara team. The board were expecting the team to challenge for the Serie A title. The season started well, with the team hitting the top after just one game. It was a false dawn however, as over the next few games the team struggled and hovered outside the Champions League. A steady improvement saw the team toy with the idea of third place in the middle third of the season. Again, form faltered and we dropped down to fifth place. A strong finish to the season however saw Domegliara knock Reggina from fourth spot and claim the final place in next season's Champions league. Europe After the Serie A win last season it left just the Champions league left to complete the challenge. It seemed like it would take at least another season to complete as the Domes were less than a minute from going out in the First Knockout Round, before a last minute goal from Guido saw them sneak through on away goals. Good performances from this point on secured a berth in the final, where as earlier reported, we achieved an easy 5-2 victory over Valencia. The victory meant that the challenge was complete. Cup A disappointing performance in the Coppa Italia meant that this is a cup still to elude Domegliara. We got knocked out by Roma in the First Round. Players Artur Pestana - Another season where he played every time he could. Age looks to be catching him up. May be time to look for a replacement. Stephen Carriero - the young goalkeeper did not make it on the pitch this season, and the frustration got to him. He has decided to head to Germany at the end of his contract. Francesco Marinelli - spent the majority of the season as Pestana's number two. Showing signs of progressing, though whether he'll ever make the first team is a tricky one. Srdjan Stanisic - actually got a run of games towards the back end of the season and played in the Champions League final. Sergio Barbera - A disappointing season by his standards. His head was turned once again, and a deal has been agreed that will see him head to FC Bayern at the end of the season for £17.25M. Ben Dladla - another to have his head turned, and another defender to be heading through the doors at the end of the season as he heads to Livorno. Frank Heß - a great season for the captain as he not only formed part of a stubborn defence, but also managed to score an impressive 13 goals. Guido - another solid season for the right-back, it's a bit of a pity he can't repeat his international form for the club, but then his international form is phenomenal. Anton Iljin - the veteran right back's stay at the club is coming to an end as his contract expires and he is off to Cesena. Leonardo Barbieri - another defender to have a deal out of the club tied up before the end of the season, as he heads away in search of regular football. Gianfranco Dalla Bona - the youth product continues to be first choice at left back for the club, and has yet to disappoint. Vincenzo Fiore - another youth product to make appearances in the first team. Next season will hopefully bring more. Pietro Marini - a good player, but never really got a chance to shine, and when he occasionally played he looked vulnerable, he is another defender to leave at the end of the season. He heads for, I believe, Fiorentina for just under £10M. Cesare Peluso - the central midfielder continues to make the position his own. I think my early optimism of him as a replacement for the legendary captain Giuseppe Casisa is finally proving accurate. Gerson Ramirez - fewer appearances for the midfielder again this season. But when he made it onto the pitch he made a decent job of the tasks given him. Michael De Leeuw - the young midfielder is beginning to make an impact as Peluso's deputy, and is simultaneously gaining covetous glances from the established giants of Italian football. Daniel Rus - a good season from the Romanian meant that Novello's disappearance from the first team was not missed. Marco Novello - this season really saw time and age catch up with this great. He has announced he intends to retire at the end of the season, and despite wishing to stay in the game, it won't be with Domegliara (he is a rubbish coach!!) Filippo Guarino - the youngster brought to the club as a striker enjoyed most of his success this season on the right, playing a large role in the run to the Champions League during which Rus was injured. Christian Constantin - a good first season in Italy for the young forward which shows signs of the promise he most definitely has being converted into a successful career. Stefano Rinaldi - another to perform well on the flank. He was temporarily displaced by Constantin in the middle of the season, but managed to fight back and regain his starting berth. Jurgen Schumacher - his progress has stalled and I'm wondering whether it might be time to get rid of the German international. Claudio Di Mauro - unfortunately time seems to be catching up with another loyal servant of the club as he found his first team opportunities severely limited. Will he stay or will he go? Mehmet Çelik - the man to replace Di Mauro as chief central creator is definitely a worthy replacement. Sinan Kocabas - another Turk, the club's most expensive signing had a mixed season, he popped up with some important goals, but also drifted out of too many games. He has all the talent and should play a big part next seaon. Diego Pastore - the club legend is now both all time leading scorer and appearance maker. Another season as top-scorer in the team, if not the league. Ivo Pereira - limited appearances, but did enough when called upon to suggest he has a role as a squad player. Ezequiel Lucero - the young Argentine continues to improve and was largely responsible for the Champions League final victory. Awards Fans' Player of the Year - Frank Heß Top Scorer - Diego Pastore - 23 Highest Average Rating - Frank Heß - 7.21 (47 apps) Can We Play You Every Week - Mantova - 2-0 (h), 2-0 (a) Youth Player Watch Home-grown Pier Luigi Farinelli - the defender's career is coming to a conclusion as he has decided to hang up his boots at the end of the season to become a coach. Aldo Mazzini - still plying his trade with Napoli, but found his game-time reduced this season. Diego Pastore - a true club great he has passed 500 appearances in all competitions for Domegliara. Gianfranco Dalla Bona - on his way to becoming a great if, that is, he can't already be considered one. Stephen Carriero - leaving the club to go abroad, hopefully he'll be as successful as Farinelli and Mazzini were. Vincenzo Fiore - his career with the club is starting to gather pace as he has made his debut. Aldo Arena - still very much part of the youth set-up. Non-home-grown Vivian Mougin - yet to make a break through. Søren Jensen - I seem to recall he made his debut this season. Richard Collins - good season for the youth set-up. Mendes - challenged Collins to make the right wing berth his own in the U-20s. Federico Bresciani - I think Bresciani will be the next to try and make the step-up from youth football to the senior team. Other News -Frank HeB won the defender of the year award. -Mehmet Celik was awarded the foreign player of the year prize - I came third in the manager of the year stakes. - Only one more year and the stadium loan will be paid off. It's not particularly important anymore considering I am making a hefty profit from prize money, but it will be nice to know it's all ours!
