NepentheZ
I have 1 season to write up, but its about 2 hours worth of info. I just cba doing it Would love for you to find the time to see out the Career of Mag Man Jr. It would be one of those epic tales that is told in years to come on the forum
NepentheZ
Just a little something for the enthusiasts here...
mag man
Impressive... Whats the (155) on Smylie for?
PaulHartman71
I think it's how many goals until he scores 3000, might be wrong though.
NepentheZ
You would be correct, Mr. Hartman It was 153 after that game though, as he scored 2 \o/
rancer890
I'll need some nomination list first. Other than Javier YP4, Mag Man Jr, anyone else willing to nominate their youths for the FM09 HOF? I'm also interested in seeing whether Antonio Guillen YP3 would make it...His info is here. I'll try and get my summary on Javier asap, after my tests this week (after Wednesday maybe).
mag man
Obviously Mag Man Jr. and Will Swift are stand out for me. Other youngsters that have had good careers are: Alan Douglas, Harvey Geddes, Lewis Rooney and Edward Page. Outsiders are Richard Smith and Jon Porter. I have had some great youth players I also have a few seasons of updates to do to that list
rancer890
I loaded up my game again and realized I stopped at December...maybe Javier can win a couple more awards to strengthen his bid to be a HOFamer. No one else stands out, except YP11, who's in a rotation right now, and my young strikers YP14 and YP14A. However, they haven't played enough seasons to get any consideration.
hamilton162
I'd nominate some of my youth players, but it will take a few more years before some of them are included i think But most of them are in their early 20's, so still plenty of time to improve
NepentheZ
I will personally sort this thread out tomorrow. I think my YP1 from Knockbreda deserves to be included too, so yeah. I'll update everything tomorrow, and then start the new thread on Friday \o/
NepentheZ
Ok, the following players are going to be inducted into the HoF : John Puckett (hamilton) Josue Ramos (Big D) Frank Dunlop (Nep) [FM08] Mag Man Jr (Mag Man) Javier (Rancer) Will Swift (mag man) Alan Douglas (mag man) I need you guys to get the career panned out in a post, (which you can post in this thread) - in this manner Please update the stats of the player to the most recent. If the game is still going, we can edit the page after the game ends / player retires to represent the full career of the player. If you guys could do that ASAP, that would be fantastic.
mag man
Awesome. I will attempt to do the updates tonight, I finally have a clear evening. Alan Douglas in HoF
rancer890
I'll sort it out after uni class today. Javier is the 3rd player I managed to enter HOF.

Take a bow son Am i right in saying that he's the youngest player to be inducted into the hall of fame? Hopefully i'll be able to get Marc Beckford into here soon enough as well! NepentheZ
Are you going to continue with that save, hamilton? If you are, then Marc will have a chance, if not, then probably not

DodgeeD
Missed all the nomination stuff :o but surprsised and happy to see Josue Ramos in there. I thought I wouldn't get anyone in this time (except perhaps for Ugur Inanc from Yalovaspor but he was only just gettting to his peak when I stopped playing that save). I have one more season of stats for ramos, including another bucketful of medals and some international glory with Mexico as well. My playing time for FM10 is going to be much more limited than last year so I may just stick to a roaming career game rather than the challenges. Not sure how that will fit in with this thread but I'm hoping I'll get a star at my first club who I can then take around the world with me. Do you have any changes/new ideas for the FM10 version Nep?
mag man
I think Edward Page and Lewis Rooney could be HoF contender's if I carried on with the save shame I just ran out of time have to be happy with 3 I was thinking in FM10 of attempting dafuges challenge and only using youth players. Do you have any changes/new ideas for the FM10 version Nep? Not really any changes. I'm just going to take on the players who I think are actually worth it now. Instead of 1 each year (So this could mean 2 in 1 year, or 0 for 5 years) - just to try and keep the updates a bit easier. Other than that, there is no reason to change anything
PaulHartman71
I'm definitely doing that as well Nep, I think at one stage on FM09 I was following 10 players, only 3 of them were actually regularly in the first team!
mag man
I am doing that to. Not going to bother keeping an eye on players in reserves etc.
DodgeeD
I was thinking of ways to keep the update size down too (takes too long to write up otherwise ). As you say, full detail on the key players and perhaps just brief summaries of the others is the best thing to do.
PaulHartman71
yeah I'll probably just have a list at the end of each update like this. [insert normal sized report on YP4 here] YP1 Dodgy Dee - Currently in a Turkish jail somewhere YP2 Nep En Thez - Currently playing for Knockbreda YP3 Ham Il Ton - Currently in the reserves for Tramposo United
DodgeeD
YP1 Dodgy Dee - Currently in a Turkish jail somewhere Not like 'Midnight Express' I hope I may also add a more detailed overview after 5 or 10 seasons, kind of a 'where are they now?' segment
Guest roberto922
Well as my holiday game is now crawling towards June 24th i might as well ask, are we sticking with this thread or will a new one be coming out?

Guest roberto922
I take it I can post my FM10 player in here while we're waiting for the new thread? My fourth Youth Player entry. What a career he has had so far. At the age of 23, he has already won 2 World Cup’s, A European Championship, A Confederations Cup, 7 Premier League Titles, 5 FA Cup Winners Medals, 6 Community Shield Wins, 5 Club World Cup Winners Medals, 3 Carling Cup Wins, 3 times English Young Players’ Player of the Year and more. He came through our ranks at the beginning of the 2015/16 season and had an instant impact on the right wing, ripping the opposition to shreds and growing at the most insane rate ever seen. Still only 23, he has his whole career ahead of him and is the youngest player to be entered into the Youth Player Hall of Fame. PaulHartman71
I still think there's something fishy about the rate of improvement from his initial screenshot to the end of that season, Mag Man Jr didn't see progress like that during 10 years, let alone 12 months. hamilton162
I agree that it does look a bit fishy, if it was someone else's game i would certainly think so! The only explanation that i can find, which was pointed out to me in the dafuge's FM09 challenge thread a couple of weeks back, is that his Professionalism attribute is 20, combined with tutoring and a custom schedule, made him grow at a phenominal rate. His rate of growth is quite literally out of this world

The club was only a decent Liga adelante side at the time, and once Javier came through the youth intake, he became the full time starting left back because I had no depth at that position. He led the club into back into La Liga and only progressed from there. His fantastic improvement in his first season led to his first award, the Spanish Young Player of the Year, finishing in 3rd place. He led the charge into becoming one of the best defenders of Europe, and has won the European Defender of the Year award 3 times. He was also nominated to the World Team of the Year 3 times. The big Spanish clubs like Real Madrid and FC Barcelona were interested in his services, but Javier showed his loyalty to Real Oviedo, and didn't move to the bigger clubs. In the first year in La Liga, we couldn't score goals, but we defended very well, and only conceded 41 goals that season, while scoring 27. The defense, led by Javier was the main reason. In all the years in La Liga since the first season, the club has always been one of the top defensive teams, and this credit goes to the vice captain of the club - Javier. A well deserved entry into the Hall of Fame who is nearing 500 overall appearances. Awards 2015: Spanish Young Player of the Year - 3rd place 2016: Spanish Young Player of the Year - 3rd place 2017: Spanish Young Player of the Year - 1st place 2018: Spanish Young Player of the Year - 2nd place 2018: European Defender of the Year - 1st place 2019: European Defender of the Year - 2nd place 2019: Spanish Player of the Year - 1st place 2021: European Defender of the Year - 1st place 2021: World Team of the Year 2021: Spanish Player of the Year - 2nd place 2022: European Defender of the Year - 3rd place 2022: Spanish Player of the Year - 3rd place 2023: Spanish Player of the Year - 2nd place 2023: World Team of the Year 2024: World Team of the Year 2024: European Defender of the Year - 1st place

NepentheZ
Ok, the following players are going to be inducted into the HoF : Josue Ramos (Big D) Frank Dunlop (Nep) [FM08] Mag Man Jr (Mag Man) Will Swift (mag man) Alan Douglas (mag man) I need you guys to get the career panned out in a post, (which you can post in this thread) - in this manner Please update the stats of the player to the most recent. If the game is still going, we can edit the page after the game ends / player retires to represent the full career of the player. If you guys could do that ASAP, that would be fantastic.
