Jimbokav1971
Cash generated by loans. May 2054. We've got lots of young players out on loan as shown above. They are all young players so the fee we can demand for them is not what it might be for an experienced pro, but it nevertheless adds up to a significant £4.1M. This is obviously £4.1M profit AFTER the players wages have been paid. You might notice that only 5 players warrant a fee of £50,000 per week and some don't warrant any fee at all. Still, it's all profit and at the same time the player are gaining first team exposure.

I have loads of scouts and I keep buying players cheaply and I have too many to use so I loan them out. I don't really know how much I can get for them so have just been gradually increasing as we go. Next season will try for a £100,000 per month player. Jimbokav1971
May 2054. Acre State Championship. We won the final game with another 3 goals and another clean sheet meaning that we scored 97 goals in the competition this year and conceded just 2. I think the benchmark for future seasons should be hitting the 100 goals scored mark and while it will need a little luck, I would also like to concede 0 goals in the campaign too. Copa Verde. It was disappointing to draw twice in this competition this season. We were on a winning run of 18 games in this competition but will have to settle now for being unbeaten in 21. Brazilian Cup. We are the reigning champions after winning the Cup last season for the 1st time in our history. The plan here is to win it more regularly, (or at the very least get to more Finals initially), and then dominate as we have done in the lesser competitions. First Division. A fantastic start marred by the loss to Internacional who are still big-hitters in the league. They have not 1, not 2, but 3 strikers who are all in their mid to late 20's and who don't get called up for International duty so are always available when fit. Compare that to our youngsters who are often called up for aged-group International games and 21 year old Bruno (F.Pro) * has recently been called up for the Senior (BRA) squad, (although has not made his debut yet). Jimbokav1971
17 players Missing. Jun 2054. We've got 17 players missing for the next 4 games and then 6 of them remain missing for...... oh wait.... it looks like the Brazilian FA have postponed all First Division matches during the World Cup! I musty have missed the message about that. Let's have a look st the First Division fixtures. There is nothing from 13th June to 11th July. and that indeed coincides with the World Club which is being played in England and France are the holders. I think I might just go and watch the (BRA) World Cup games.

Jimbokav1971
Aug 2054. First Division. Just 1 loss isn't awful, but with 2 draws too, it certainly isn't great. We're 9th in the league, but we now have 3 games in hand on some sides above us. Copa Libertadores. We progressed through the 2nd round comfortably 5-0 on aggregate and we will play league leaders São Paulo in the Qtr Finals. Brazilian Cup. We won away against Cruzerio in the domestic Cup, and I expect to progress to the Semi's taking a league back to our home leg. Goal-scoring GK Bodão (F.Pro) * is now up to 15 goals for the season, (and 56 career goals), but he has missed 4 penalties, 4 penalties have been taken by other players, so he could easily be on 23 goals. We have at least 25 games still to play this season.

Jimbokav1971
Sept 2058. First Division. We somehow lost again, this time against Atletico Mineiro. We absolutely battered them, even after we had a man sent off on 52 mins, only to concede a 92nd min goal to finish with nothing. We were well and truly FM'd. Other than that, with 3 wins and a draw, we had a decent month, especially when I was prioritising the Cups ahead of league selection. Brazilian Cup. We romped through the Quarter Finals 7-2 on aggregate, and we take a 2 goal lead into the home leg of the Semi-Final. Copa Libertadores. A comfortable 4-0 win on aggregate sees us into the Semi-Final. I'm not yet sure who we will play, but beating Sao Paulo was a significant achievement. Jimbokav1971
Oct 2054. First Division. 3 losses in the month seems like awful form, but it will surprise few of you that I have been rotating the squad for league games and completely concentrating on both the Brazilian Cup and the Copa Libertadores. While it has no doubt cost us points, we are already Brazilian Cup Champions and have made our 1st Copa Libertadores Final where we will play Palmeiras, (who currently sit 3rd in the First Division). There are still 10 league games to go and we have up to 3 games in hand on the teams above us, so I would hope that we are able to finish higher than our current position of 8th. We will obviously rotate the squad for the game before the Copa Libertadores final, but other than that we will be playing to win. Brazilian Cup. We played well throughout the competition and it was never really in doubt and we manage to retain the competition we won for the 1st time last season. Copa Libertadores. Champions Boca have won the competition for the last 2 years, so there will be a new winner this year. Palmeiras have won it on 4 occasions, (and been runner up on a further 8 occasions). This will be our 1st appearance in the Final. The plan from the off this season, (well at least from the point that we started the league season poorly), was to concentrate on the Brazilian Cup and the Copa Libertadores and to try and win a quadruple of Cups.

Jimbokav1971
Nov & Dec 2054. First Division. That's a mighty impressive run of form, (at least in the league), to finish the season in 4th after we were 8th at the end of last month. We could and probably should have finished ahead of São Paulo, but losing 8 league games in a season, (2 of them at home), is simply too many losses to be considered Champions. Corinthians lost only 3 league games all season and none of them at home. That's the form of champions. The reality is that while we have some great young talent at the club, we have nobody at the club over 25 years of age and we are still very much in development. My plan was to win the Copa Libertadores and the Brazilian Cup this season and then concentrate on the league next season. With the Copa Libertadores still outstanding we will have to review that plan and come up with a different strategy. Copa Libertadores. What a gutter. We won a trio of domestic Cup competitions, but the Continental Cup was just a step too far. We played ok, (and even lead), but Palmeiras were too strong for us and they emerged victorious. Our wait for Continental success will have to wait a while longer.
Jimbokav1971
Awards. Dec 2054. Bodão (F.Pro) * was awarded the Brazilian First Division Best Player award which is astonishing for a GK. Even more astonishing is that I had 3 votes, (the 1st worth 3 points, then 2 points and 1 point), and although I obviously voted for my own players, I voted for products of our Academy and didn't vote for my GK at all. He still managed to get enough votes, (28 in total), and I'm guessing the voting was quite close. As if scoring goals at one end wasn't enough, Bodão (F.Pro) * has also set a record at the other end keeping 45 clean sheets this season and beating the old record of 41.
Jimbokav1971
World U21 Footballer of the Year. Jan 2055. We've really dominated this award in recent years. Ademar (Bal) * has been with of for 5 years. (49a) Fininho (Bal) * was World U21 player of the year on 2 occasions and is a product of our Academy. Nogueira (Bal) * was with us for 4 years before PSG snaffled him away for a modest £20M. Athos (F.Det) * was with us for 2 seasons, the 2nd in which he was ridiculously effective . Dallazen * was with us for 3 seasons, (and was with our old club Bayonne for 2 seasons in between). (39b) Xabier (Res) * is now (39b) Xabier (F.Amb) * and he came through the Academy at Bayonne when I was there. He won the World U21 player of the Year on no less than 3 occasions. I don't think that we have particularly had the best youngsters at the clubs I have managed, with the exception (39b) Xabier (Res) *, of but I think what I did have is young players who were given more opportunities under me than elsewhere. That I think is why we have dominated this competition to this degree.

Jimbokav1971
Season Expectations. Jan 2055. As we improve year on year, the expectations also rise. This year we have some stretching targets to aim for. We have an enormous squad and a high number of Argentinian youngsters, (my Scouts seem to just find loads with high rating that are cheap and keen to join), but there is a limit of 5 foreign players in First Division match squads so many of these will either be loaned out or sold. Jimbokav1971
Making money from loans. Jan 2055. Many of you who have followed my threads for a long time will know that I carry very large squads, and you might also know that recently I have been experimenting with generating income from loaning players out rather then just to develop the individual player, but this next bit deserves some acknowledgement. Last season we made 59 out-going loan deals, (which isn't the same as 59 players going out on loan because some of them went out more than once due to different leagues starting and finishing at different times of the year). Some of these loans were for no fee, (28 deals), and the remaining 31 deals all involved our club receiving a fee from the recipient club. The total fees for these 31/59 players, (depending on your view), was £5.75M. The largest fee received for any single player last season was £100,000 per month for GK Álvarez. (COL) (Merc) *, for a 5 month loan in the MLS at LA Galaxy. We had also received another £500,000 for him from Dortmund for 1 single game played in Germany during the European season, (so we have no received more than double in loan fees than what he cost in the 1st place), and he is still out player. Until I started to write this post I didn't realise that we had already loaned a player out for £100,000 per month, as this is what had triggered this post. £100,000 per week for a Wonderkid owned by us to get game-time in the league we are playing in. Brilliant stuff. Córdoba (COL) * has 4 years left on his contract but is still classed as a "FGN" player so it's not easy to give him the game-time he needs. Loaning him out to another Brazilian side hopefully brings forward the date on which he can gain dual citizenship. We will receive £1M for his loan period this season, after he cost us just £850,000 2 years ago. 7 He's played 18(12) games for us scoring 24 goals and creating 8 assists. Next up I need to loan someone out for more than £100,000 per month.

Jimbokav1971
Mar & Apr 2055. Acre State Championship. We have scored 96 goals in this competition without reply, (and that's amazing), but the record for goals scored in this competition is 109 which we set in 2053. We need to score 13 goals in a 2-legged final just to equal the record. I think we can all agree that's not going to happen. Winning the competition without conceding a single goal has never been done before though, (I don't think), so that's my aim this season. Copa Libertadores. I was gutted to draw the Independiente game because that would have set a new record for consecutive games won by the club. Oh well, we will have to go again next season. Copa Verde. You will see that there are 5 goals scored by Bodão (F.Pro) * in this competition, but what you can't see is that he also missed a penalty to make it 6 and furthermore 16 year old Academy product (54b) Carlos (F.Pro) scored a brace on his debut, (1 penalty and 1 free-kick), meaning that although the scored haven't been outrageous in these games, our GK's have scored 7 goals in 5 games and might have scored an 8th. I have absolutely no idea why that's the case.

It should also be mentioned that his 16 year old replacement scored 2 goals in 3 appearances while he was away/travelling on International duty. 16 year old (54b) Carlos (F.Pro) scored not only a penalty on his debut, but also a direct free-kick. Jimbokav1971
20 goals a season GK for the 3rd successive season. Sep 2055. 22 year old Bodão (F.Pro) * has scored 20+ goals a season now for the 3rd successive season. (I never thought I would be able to say that). He is up to 21 goals for the season, 16 of 22 penalties scored and 5 direct free-kicks. His career goals scored total is now 82. If this was a normal time of the year then I think I would be planning to sell 22 year old Bodão (F.Pro) * and replace him with 20 year old Academy product (51b) Emerson (F.Det) *. The only reason not to do so is because the save is coming to an end because FM19 time is running out. As I type this though, it just serves to confirm that I shouldn't change the way I play just because FM19 is coming to an end, so I think this will be the last season for Bodão (F.Pro) *. Jimbokav1971
Sep 2055. First Division. We are still absolutely flying in the league and are now a whopping 14 points clear and also have a game in hand on 2nd placed Corinthians. Copa Libertadores. As good as we have been in the league, we were equally poor in the 1st game against River Plate. We were absolutely demolished 4-0 and were lucky to get 0. I can't tell you what happened. Yes the squad was weakened slightly in the 1st leg, but I think River Plate were just good, and this is backed up by us only winning the return home leg 1-0, (through a penalty), when I went as strong as I possibly could in terms of squad selection for the 2nd leg. Brazilian Cup. We have progressed to our 3rd successive Final, and will be looking for our 3rd successive win against São Paulo. 22 year old GK Bodão (F.Pro) * has scored 2 more goals this month, (both penalties), to bring him to 23 goals for the season made up of 18 penalties from 24 attempted and 5 direct free-kicks.
