There we go, guys. 9 points from the next 5. For a team fulfilling the expectations by a margin and about to qualify for the Libertadores. Oh, and Harold Reina got injured for 6 weeks..

OCTOBER 2017

Horrendous month. We played really well in all the games. Lost in the 90+4th minute through a corner in the first game while playing with 10 men for 50 minutes. The Sport Boys game (hurray, another loss against the team in final position - must've been the third time this season) was unbelievable because we had too many scoring opportunities to count. The last one against Bolívar, one of the best teams in the league, well, says it all. I just feel that this month would've been radically different if we had not lost Reina to injury.

Still very much on track for Libertadores qualification, although that 3rd spot is out of reach by now.

However, as you may have noticed, I have a points target set by the board who think I'm doing a bad job. This means I have to win ALL of our games in November. Which looks something like this:

NOVEMBER 2017

Holy cow, we actually did it! This must've been the best month in our season so far, because the play was absolute spectacular at times. And most unbelievably of all, we beat Guabirá in their house and actually take third place! We were trailing nine points just three games before!

There you go, a third place with only two games to. We'll try and hold on to it, but for now:

I don't really get the top 3 finish thing, but we'll take the money please!

DECEMBER 2017

We've finished off the season in style by winning five straight. Finally we've also managed to beat our rivals Real Potosí!

We've never been close to the top 3 in the Clausura, but we snatched a 3rd place on the final day! We've also managed to finish in 3rd overall which means we qualify for the Copa Libertadores 2nd qualifying round (out of 3)! Who would've thought just five games ago!

Thanks guys! Very curious to see what the next one will be bring as most of our important players are leaving and I'll have to include the younger guys into the squad. I'm pretty positive the board glitch shouldn't be too big of a factor from now on as they're happy with my first season in charge and I reckon I should be able to feast on that for a while.

2018 SEASON PREVIEW

After my summer holiday, we're back!

Decent wins against lesser Bolivian teams. Close loss to an equally competitive side from Peru.

Expected to be a little bit better than last year. The league has also increased to 14 teams.

Salazar is the only official player out, as he wanted to return home to Colombia to end his career.

These five hugely important players wouldn't want to renew their contracts, but they haven't found a job elsewhere either, so I can still actually use them for the Bolivian league for free. I don't know how long we'll be having this luxury, but we'll take it.

Our first game of the season will not be against a Bolivian side, as we'll start off playing in the Libertadores 2nd qualifying round.

They're a lot better than we are.

I sure hope so too. I guess the game doesn't really get custom added leagues with the Apertura and Clausura formats. However, I think I'll get more credit next season as, luckily, at the end of the season the board was very happy with the final result.

A boring game for the neutral fans, but we really managed to disrupt a team with vastly better players! The goal was of the hit-the-crossbar-then-bounced-back-of-the-goalkeepers-head-into-the-goal kind, so that was extra nice.

Well, that was useless. We were completely outclassed. Good thing we haven't played 44 games to get to this stage...

The inevitable happened. Happy to actually got some money for him as his contract was already over. Not too happy he's left this early in the season.

Thanks! If we manage to finish in the top 2 this season, we can skip the qualifiers altogether. 

And regarding Always Ready. Their name is not as intimidating as The Strongest, so let's say they're pretty Ready to get relegated again.

FEBRUARY 2018

Mixed month. We were good at home, and unlucky away. The 0-3 loss was a brainfart of mine as I had made five starting players available for an under 20s match the day before.

Not where we want to be yet, albeit if we win the game in hand we are.

MARCH 2018

We're back baby!

The month felt like a mixed one, until we snagged two very important away wins. One against arch rivals Real and another one at powerhouse The Strongest. We absolutely FM'd them, but Paniagua managed to score a free kick from 28 yards out. It was a very hard month, though, with Harold Reina gone now. Goals have been drying up so 12 points with only 5 goals is really good!

Could go anywhere still, but we're on track to accomplish our goal.

In the meantime, our youngsters are getting absolutely wrecked left and right.

A new season, but this remains an issue. Mind you, we're currently 4th out of 14.

APRIL 2018

Good month with great results away from home.

This has moved us up to 3rd place in the league.

However...

As you might have noticed, Nacional Potosí isn't blue coloured anymore.

For those who've been following along, you know that I've been getting a lot of angry board notices all over this save. I actually had to go through a set of games where I had to fulfill a points total to stay in charge. Even though I finished third in the league. This season, I had some more respect from the board for finishing that high last year, but already after a few games, the board confidence plummeted again to absurdly low levels (like 11% low). I've just come from an unbeaten streak of 8 straight games and - I kid you not - I have had the single same message before every one of them:

Every single one of them.

Now, we had to finish in the top half and we're in third. The dressing room atmosphere is brilliant, the match cohesion maxed out, the manager support is about 85%. Couldn't be better, so when this appeared, I tried to high ball it:

Most replies FM gave me didn't really suit my situation. I just went in with two legs saying that sacking me would lead to an unhappy dressing room. That did not bode well.

This message sort of sums up this entire save. There's clearly some kind of bug mixed in with this added league, because the game hasn't been able to grasp my position in the league in relation to our team goals. You see that this news message is applauding me for being that high in the league while at the same time saying my firing was no surprise. It has been like that all save, where the board has been very happy with my matches, but unhappy with my "terrible performance" in the league. Don't know what to do yet, but this has been one hell of a bummer. Almost a waste of time.
