rodesire
May-ish 2030 My U21s keep making me proud. They have retained the U21 Cup and are on course for a double in a couple weeks time. The Europa League review came in and my left winger ended being the highest avg player despite only ever featuring in qualifiers Over to fixtures then. We lost twice to open the month but did just enough to progress in the cup. We then blasted our way to a record point tally in the league since the beginning of the save. Shame about the cup final but it may be the ultimate blessing in disguise since Zalgiris will get an easier route in qualifiers. We were perfect playing at home domestically this season, not even a draw and a few very entertaining matches And of course my star winger decides to throw a fit after a lost cup final. Also, thanks Auri.

rodesire
End of season 2029/30 It's been quite a season. We won the league, lost two finals and our U21s have completed a double double. We're breaking all the records, frankly. We're also getting all the awards in Lithuania. Just need to get player rep up and we'll be sweeping everything before too long. The league and club rep though is going up, so maybe, just maybe a few of the players will stay happy for a couple more seasons. Club awards and best elevens have been calculated, no shocks this time round. Finally, a stat pack to keep track of what happened this year.
rodesire
Pre-season 2030/31 A very quiet pre-season. Exactly how we like them, getting youth facility upgrades and no interest for any of our players Financially, we seem to be in a bit of trouble but let me stop you right there. We're fine. We had to pay 800k tax for Europa league run last season and we got the upgrades above. Without them we would have run a solid profit. More so with the new TV deal. rodesire
July 2030 Pre-season's over but the board kept getting my requests every single day. We improved youth rec from extensive, smh and got a training facility upgrade too. Fixture-wise we smashed Moldovan champions 11-0 on aggregate, then caught a lucky break against Celtic having been reduced to 10 men. Then we switched to 5-2-3 away and blitzed them on the counter. That home Celtic game was a sell-out in Atlantas' stadium. If only we had played it in a bigger stadium :// Anyway, Slovenian champions are waiting for us in round 3 of qualifying. 2.5* rep, so I will be disappointed if we don't get through. Stumbras will be our opponent in the Super Cup. Couldn't help myself
rodesire
August 2030 There's been a huge shift in expectations from both the board and the media. We're now amongst the title favourites all of a sudden. Poor journos keep thinking my star mid could be the star of the show but frankly it's probably going to be one of the strikers. In terms of fixtures, I don't wanna say ezez but Domzale wasn't exactly a formidable opponent. Super Cup went our way and we won a single league match in a very convincing manner. CL play-offs were a bit like the Celtic game. We hung on in the first leg, scoring a late equaliser. In the second, we kept probing until the defense fell and we got 3 goals and the CL group stage. All the groups looked really tough, got to hate those new rules with so many teams from top 4 leagues. We got a pretty deadly assignment, Juve are the reigning Italian champs, OM were runners-up to PSG and Atletico was the best of the rest behind RM and Barca. Any points will be welcome but not very likely. However, we have already landed 13mil of cash, so I am happy All in all, an exceptional summer for us. Our first ever CL group stage, so we'll be set money-wise for years and hopefully kick-start the stadium building very soon. In the league, Zalgiris has already dropped points
rodesire
And I just noticed my U21s got entry to the U19 Champions Cup Same group, should be fun to see where my kids stand given they're mostly 17-18 anyway

We're spending 1mil a year on youth rec+coaching and another mil on all wages combined. Zalgiris made it to 4th qualifying round in Europa League and Kauno Zalgiris also made it to Q3, so, overall, a great season for Lithuania.
rodesire
September 2030 So the transfer window deadline day was fun when my best player went nuts No offers for him, so he can be transferlisted all he wants. Speaking of people going nuts, a certain manager got a bit weird. Anyway, there were so many deals in Lithuania, so I wondered what nation's top guys are up to and noticed our key striker just keeps moving clubs. The bookies really don't fancy us in the Champions League but I feel like my U21s could make a splash there. In terms of fixtures, we did well in the league, swatting opponents aside playing my second string. We scored in CL too, shame we could not prevent OM from putting 3 past us. League table is very interesting. Kauno Zalgiris have started incredibly well, Panevezys have also done well having signed 13 guys in the summer. On the other hand, Jonava has been awful, Suduva is still struggling and Zalgiris dropped 6 points already! Still early days in CL but I really don't expect us getting anything here. In the cup we'll be facing second division Silute, hopefully we don't mess it up too much.

rodesire
October 2030 The good news is we managed to sell out the biggest stadium in Lithuania for our clash v Juventus on second matchday of UCL group stage. The bad news is we did not exactly play well. Like at all. It was like watching Brazil go 0-5 within 30 minutes in that semifinal. Even Simeone chipped in from Atletico with his opinion. And our fans did not exactly enjoy seeing another Euro drubbing. I am definitely falling down to Europa League groups next year if I can. I don't care about money at this point but I do need my coefficient up ASAP. Anyway, the good news is our youngsters are making waves. We're likely going to qualify out of U19 UCL group having collected 4 points in opening 3 matches Lithuania U21 side has also qualified for Euros! They managed to navigate the qualification unbeaten with the spine of the team coming from my U21 club side. In the end, we're amazing domestically, crushing everyone, and get crushed in Europe. A bit like @MarcxD Estonian save, really. Except far less dominant. In the league, we're joint top with Stumbras with a game in hand. Zalgiris, Suduva and Jonava are really underperforming whilst Panevezys, Stumbras are way way overachieving so far. We're out of Europe unless we pull out 2 wins out of our ass, somehow. In the cup, we'll be meeting division sweepers Jonava.

rodesire
November 2030 it's business as usual in Kretinga. We're out of Europe in November, and our fans can't even bother to travel 150 miles to Kaunas to watch us play top European teams. Anyhow, domestically, we're still unbeaten having stuck it to Zalgiris twice already this season. We keep our scoring record in UCL having scored in every game so far. We're starting to run away with the league despite our European commitments. Mind you, once Zalgiris blew a 14 point lead, so nothing is certain up here. We're out of Europe, just got to get the Juve clash done in December. In the cup we'll be meeting a fourth division side, so that's 6th consecutive semi-final for us, surely. rodesire
December 2030 I am blowing up the team and replacing the non-key guys with youngsters. The first casualty is team captain Zagurskas, who would not agree a new contract. Some of his buddies accused me of weakening the team but I was able to talk sense into them and the crisis was averted. We also finished the youth facility upgrade and requested a new one, that's both types of training facilities being upgraded next season. Back in the Champions league, we managed to set a record for most goals conceded and our U21s ended the group stage with 4 points they picked up in first 2 games, feels bad In terms of fixtures, we sucked this month. Shipped 6 against Juve and it could have been 10 on another day. Managed to concede 2 against Kauno Zalgiris on 2 shots on target and score 1 of 11. Then we proceeded to barely salvage a draw against Zalgiris having been the dominant team throughout. Finally, we hit the bar 5 times against Panevezys. Luckily we scored 4 anyway. All this dumbf**kery means we're only 4 points atop the league table. Kauno Zalgiris is a fairly surprising second, with Zalgiris further 3 points adrift. Suduva has been buying up players, so they might still challenge for Europe and we may have an almighty relegation scrap with Jonava finally clicking. rodesire
January-February 2031 It's been a really quiet winter in Lithuania. We've tried to sell most of our deadwood but only landed a single deal for a 18yo midfielder whose potential has nosedived in the last 18 months. He had 4 months on the contract and I am happy having received a fee. I've also celebrated 500 games in charge of my current club. Together we have won every single domestic trophy on offer, we should really focus on building the Euro coefficient for ourselves now. Not a whole lot in terms of fixtures this month, won a bunch of friendly games, then barely escaped in the league having trailed twice and demolished Dziugas who were set-up for a draw. Kauno Zalgiris and Zalgiris have both dropped points, so it's a 9 point gap to them now. Stumbras is not too far behind either and these three teams will play out the qualification battle this year. I would not be surprised if Zalgiris manager were sacked if they finished third in the league. We might be their saving grace though, having become the most reputable club in the country. rodesire
Youth intake 2031 Still a golden generation description but probably our weakest intake in terms of relative potential since we made it to top division. Lots of midfield talent this year but not particularly good personalities. Dambrauskas has some mean mentals but is so raw technically and physically.
rodesire
March 2031 Our kids are alright. Having become the first Lithuanians to feature in U19 Champions league, they wrapped up their group title as early as 31st of March. Domestically, we had yet another perfect month, haven't really been tested and a lot of the scores flattered our opponents. We're now 12 clear of Zalgiris who seem to have finally gotten the grip of P2 in the league. Jonava and Dziugas have continued their almighty scrap to not get directly relegated. but Panevezys have run out of steam and might get caught too. In the cup we'll be facing the latter, hopefully we can make it through to the finals again.
rodesire
April 2031 So, our U21 assistant manager got poached by a second division club, I really hope he becomes a successful manager. In terms of fixtures, another perfect month domestically and in the cup, We did need a couple late late goals to keep the streak going and complacency has definitely set in. Zalgiris is trying to pull away but Kauno Zalgiris just won't let them go. It's a toss-up between Jonava and Panevezys in the relegation battle though having extra cup commitments is not doing the latter any favours. The eagle eyed ones will notice we have won the league already, just following what our kids did last month.
rodesire
May-ish 2031 Our kids are great, the best, really. They've completed their third consecutive double Naturally, they'll be very much forming the spine of a Lithuanian U21 team bidding for Euro gold this year. In other news, UEFA decided to splash some money our way and totally overwhelm us with possibilities. Anyway, fixtures went from okay to very meh to okay this month. I couldn't keep guys motivated once we clinched the title Speaking of titles, here's another cup, third in 4 years, completing our first ever domestic treble. rodesire
End of season 2030/31 It's now two seasons in a row that both bottom teams have dropped into second division. Atlantas won their play-off comfortably yet again. Our U21s managed to finish the season unbeaten domestically. Yet again our guys won a whole bunch of awards including a fourth consecutive manager of the year for myself. Club awards were surprisingly swept by our right winger who has been okay but not exactly set the world alight. Competition reps are on the rise as Lithuanian top division is about as reputable as League One now, a sharp rise from Conference North/South at the beginning of the save. The media love us this year and, yes, we did win everything domestically. Finally, for the stats lovers, the squad overview and the stats themselves
rodesire
Pre-season 2031/32 Lithuania's stay at U21 Euro 2031 didn't last very long at all. Three losses in three games but at least all games were fairly close. Pre-season started well with announcements to expand and purchase the stadium as well as expanding all the facilities. The board is still only expecting Euro qualification which I like a lot since there will be reasonable turnover of the playing staff and other teams surely strengthening this summer. That's when the good news ended, really. We got a massive tax bill this season for all the profit we got off the Champions league last season. No, the league TV deal is not enough, it's only 500k... Guess, we should then make it worse by paying all the directors extortionate dividends. Really not happy about it.

A little surprise is how well a central def, Zutautas, aged 21 has done on loan and is suddenly in contention for first 11. I might loan a few more this year to same/second division and see how they do. I also need to cull U21 team, too many 19+ year olds that will never make it stopping youngsters from getting game time. rodesire
July 2031 A very short pre-season followed by early CL rounds. We've done very well, winning every game so far, including a 9 goal epic at Zrinjski. We'll be playing Hungarian champs Videoton in UCL , who surprisingly defeated Celtic over two legs whilst in the Super Cup it's old foes Zalgiris. They made it through to the third qualifying round in Europa League too, so we may just keep improving our coefficients.
rodesire
August 2031 It has been a season defining month quite a few times already and this time is no exception. The board and the media reckon we have a good shout to become back-to-back champions. I think that's also fair but Zalgiris will be a more formidable foe, surely, whilst Stumbras and Kauno Zalgiris have made shrewd acquisitions and could trouble the top 2 just as well. Our recent rep increase has opened a few doors for us, including double season tickets and getting a youth coaching upgrade. It's going to become excellent very soon. I also noticed that Zalgiris has finally become a rival for us, a minor competitive one for now but we'll see if this evolves into anything more. The Super Cup went extremely well considering we played second unit after the first team involvement in the CL qualifiers. Another 3-1 win over Zalgiris and a comeback too. Immediately after, Zalgiris sold their star centreback for a new Lithuanian record transfer and then crushed it by spending double on an average Ukrainian winger. This is getting very interesting. Anyhow, fixture-wise we got an easy win in the Super Cup and one in the league sandwiched between defeating Videoton and then throwing away a home lead against AEK to qualify for Europa League Still, that's a lot of money and really good for our coefficient too! We were in fact seeded third, first time a Lithuanian team achieved this feat. The draw itself turned out alright for us. We got one of the weakest top and bottom seeds and a fairly tough second seed. I reckon we could get at least 8 points from this group and challenge for spring football in Europe. So, all in all, we're top of the league and awaiting our cup opponents whilst European matches should allow everyone to get good minutes.
rodesire
September 2031 September kinda sucked. We never recovered form that 0-6 drubbing and haven't played with a lot of swagger since. Zalgiris manager has been critical of my domestic approach before we met them in the league. To be fair, we were on a 3 match losing streak with a combined -10 goal difference. We then proceeded to wipe out snarky smiles at home before deflating yet again. This leaves us just about in European places in the league though it's tight and early. Stumbras once again starting strong having messed up in Europe. Zenit dropped points against BATE, so we better capitalise on that if we are to get out of this group. rodesire
October 2031 If I though September was bad, well, the game decided to troll me. The whole domestic bias thing seems to fire up opponents no matter who they are. And on the back of this we got FMed quite hard. Anyway, we're doing really well in Europe where we counterattack in a devastating fashion whilst domestically we keep getting whipped, barely beat Atlantas in the cup too. Our poor form even led to some questioning whether my position as manager was untenable. A bit surprising given I am still untouchable in the board view. All in all, not a pretty sight, 10 points behind league leaders with a game in hand, but just a win against Zenit away from qualifying in Europa league and an easy opponent in the 4th round in the Cup. I am not sure if it's tiredness or complacency in the league. Also our defenders tend to wander too high up the pitch even with normal def line and counter, so we get hit on long balls over the top. Stumbras have some very tasty loanies from South America, I will be utterly surprised if they don't make top3 this season, they've looked class. Zalgiris will always be around the top unless they start overspending (still not happening) and we better get some tough wins in, or we'll struggle to even get into lowest EL qualifying spots. rodesire
November 2031 Apparently, there are only two clubs in Lithuania investing in infrastructure, ourselves and Zalgiris. They were looking a place for an 8k stadium and that figure has now increased to a 11.4k seater. It's been at least 3 seasons in the making and whilst they're almost selling out their current 7.6k seater I am not sure they need a bigger one. We could definitely do with a bigger stadium though. We're still playing European games in Kaunas, losing a huge amount of revenue in process. Also not making a lot of friends on the continent.. Fixture-wise a much better month. We did get outclassed by Torino but other than that, much better results after two months of indifferent form. We also qualified from Europa League group stage after just 4 games. All in all, a great European campaign, getting another 7 coefficient points and qualifying from the group stage. In the league, we've managed to reduce the gap to 4 points to the leaders, so I am cautiously optimistic about retaining the title once we're out of Europe in late Feb/early March. rodesire
December 2031 Our Boxing day gift this year were some brand new facilities, ho ho ho! Up to adequate/average, finally feeling the European journey paying off! In addition, I've managed to negotiate another set of upgrades that should take us to good/good facilities by Christmas 2032. Anyway, it's been a good month competitively. 5 wins out of 5, including the lucrative Europa League win. This meant we finished second in the group, behind the all-conquering Torino but way ahead of everyone else. Overall, we somehow managed to erase the deficit in the league and are topping it already! Stumbras is just behind having spanked Zalgiris 5-2 in their last match. Realistically, the only sad thing about all of this is having to meet Sevilla in first knockout round. Could have really used an easier draw and there were plenty! PSA: I will be moving to a new place in the next couple of weeks, so this save is going to get paused for a while as I sort our RL things. I also feel like I need a bit of time to get away from it as the grind of Europe and domestic league is getting a bit much with moderate progress year-on-year. rodesire
January 2032 No real action this month with our players being far too expensive for their skills due to our rep increase. However, the board was happy to pump more money into data analysis facilities. Up to below average now, we now got best facilities in Lithuania when it comes to analysing data but there's more to do on training infrastructure. rodesire
Youth intake 2032 Well well well, our first non-golden generation intake at the club. This is mildly worrying as we're only a 2.5* rep with almost maxed out junior coaching and youth rec but hey, we'll see how it goes. Two very good keeper, a couple mids and two decent strikers. Everything is pairs, will be interesting to see if that stifles their development at all.
