Warg92 Posted December 3, 2016 Author Share Posted December 3, 2016 Mid season 2022/23 Doing well in the league. The only problem is all the drawn games. Still, it's better to play 1-1 than to lose. We can do nothing with Valletta for several seasons. They will also get stronger and stronger, as they are the only pro team in the league, and keeps buying players. In others news. I said yes, because this has been my plan the entire time. I meant to wait for a few more years, but they offered me the job. Here is the group in the Euro Champ Qualification. Croatia will be impossible to beat. Iceland, Israel and Slovenia will be very hard. The only team we should beat are the Faroe Islands. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

The rest are, at best, average... Well, no striker, but it's a really good intake. Ryan Ebejer goes straight in to the first team. We also got another norwegian player. Three best from this year. In PA terms you have a 5.0 PA ST in Gordon Frendo (JR07f) and possibly another 4.5PA player in Matthew Cilla (JR07h), (although he might be more AM than SC). In a Youth only save, my advice would be to think more long-term than just the limitations of CA and instead prioritise players who will make an impact long-term and if that's a 5.0 PA striker, then the issue isn't whether or not you will play him, (because it's a no-brainer), but how you will play him enough to allow him to develop so that his CA gets him in there on merit. You need a striker and you have one with great PA. You just have to work out how you are going to get him to his PA, (or near it). ps. Loving you Norwegian influx. I we had lost that one, Naxxar would have passed us, and most likely made us lose the third place, as they had another game in hand. We beat Valletta 3-2 in one of the games. Very, VERY lucky! Nothing to do about Valletta. I really doubt we could challenge them for many seasons yet. Floriana is the second to best team in Malta, and they are pretty good. Players sorted after games played. Stephen Vaughan who was part of the demise of Chester City was director or owner or something or Floriana FC at one point, no idea what happened in the end with it all but that's the only knowledge of the Maltese league I have! And how come they're all not too bad? Are you planning on using the prize money for transfers in the future or will you be hardlining on your youth philosophy? Anyways, I love your updates! I don't know really. I've seen a lot of people do it like this. I used to just name them JR01, JR02, JR03 and so on. But since this is a youth only save, and since 16 players come in each year, the numbers would have been over a hundred already. And it's much easier to search for a former player with this system. I really don't have to remember their names, just the numbers. They may look good. But they are really bad, and even for the level I'm playing at right now they are overpermforming. The only transfers I might do is to buy back players that have been sold or released by the club. The money thats coming in now I'm saving up to be a Pro Club. We were in a group with Slovenia, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Croatia and Israel. I thought there was an possibility to manage a couple of draws against the bigger nations, but the Faroese games should give us 6 points. This is how we did. Pretty good results in my opinion. So many games we dominated, but could not get a goal! The last five games of the season makes me hopeful for the next one. IF we can keep it up. And after that failure in the league, I hoped we could get a spot in en EURO Cup, and for a long time, that looked like it was possible. But when we met Valletta in the final we could not do anything. Players sorted after apps. A good season from Calleja, he saved us many times. That being said, the names are distinctly Italians and English mix so I'm guessing it's lost in the code somewhere to have them of dual nationality. A short national team update. We have just finished the European League. We should really have won both games against Liechtenstein, but we screwed it up. If only we play like the 4 last games! 1-0 over Naxxar, 0-0 vs Valletta, 2-1 over Floriana, then a 3-2 win against Tarxien! We went all the way to the final this year as well, but then we met Valletta, and again we lost. Best Eleven. Players sorted after apps. A new kit sponsor will help us a bit. This year I actually had a good feeling going in to these games, I felt we could beat this team. It was very close, but we did it. Next up, Luzern from Switzerland. Nothing to do about them, I thought. And I was right. They were the better team in both of the games, and we were lucky to draw the second one. But we made some money, and thats always nice. Looks like you've got a bit stuck the last couple of seasons, but you flew over the lower leagues rather dramatically! Think a couple more years and you'll leap forward to win the league. The players seems stuck at their CA, and my Assistant say that is because they can't train full-time. Valletta really are incredible strong, and they are growing stronger. They are the only Pro team, and they are buying players from African countries cheap! EDIT The second after I wrote that Valletta will be hard to beat, they lost 0-3 against the bottom team! I checked back, and that was their biggest loss in the entire save! Tied with a game against Ferncvaros in the Champions League Qualification. No DM, but two really good players in Malcolm Axiaq and Joseph Camilleri. 14 finishing is really good on this level! This is the quickest player ever to come through our youth team! But we won the last game, and they lost. We're closing the gap to Floriana. Valletta had a bad season, even thought they won with 18 points down. Very good year in the cup! Because we won it! Very lucky that Hibernians beat Valletta on penalties! Can anyone tell me why there suddenly a player with 18 games in my best eleven? And after he has retired? Players sorted after apps. They have only one player that is not grayed out, and he is pretty good. We managed 0-0 away, and 1-0 at home. So, on to the next round. There we meet Eskişehirspor, a team from Turkey. Close to impossible to beat this team, I think. And I was right. We scored three goals, and that's about the only thing to be happy about. And the money of course! The only thing I'm not happy with is that we lost the silver medal because of the four last games. We're also the only team that beat Valletta in the league this season! A bad year in the FA Trophy. Tougher than I thought it would be actually, but we made it. Next up, Vojvodina from Serbia, a much tougher opponent! Look at the stats for Vojvodina! They got robbed! Now then, the next opponent. Fiorentina! Yes, Fiorentina... Without a joke, this was the hardest team we could get in this round. With Leverkusen and Spartak Moscow that is. I really thought we would get the crap kicked ouy of us, but we did pretty good! Look at all the shots they had! MONEY! And here is how the other teams in Malta did. I have not been able to do that. I just have to go to the "make board request" screen and ask from there. They have said one of two things when I have tried. 1. That they do not have enough faith in me (!). 2. That we have to establish ourselfes in the league before turning pro.
