Even though the Scottish is generally a piece of **** for us and we could play our under 15 team and sh!te all over everyone we draw I reckon we might just go with the first 11 tomorrow...

Great stuff, this thread will do lovely to ask this.

Just wanting to get Hibs fans opinions on Craig Rocastle after his spell with you guys. I've read a Hibs messageboard and they were saying he played really well. Sturrock reckons he could be good one for the future, and has had recommendations from his contacts. So what did you guys make of him?

As a Dundee united fan who was at the 2 Hibs games so far this season, I thought he was average in the first game and he was impressive in the second game, seemed to have improved quite a bit.

The dingles are in for a surprise, I reckon. If I was Sturrock I'd consider playing him from the start. He really imposes himself on the midfield.

I'd be surprised if it was full strength but it will still be a 100% certainty on the coupan.

How the official couldn't see Nish running 30 yards after injury is shocking. how could no Hearts player see him is the question Robbo!

Well said. If i was him I would be more concerned about my defenders ball watching.

Fair enough, the Burchill decision looked questionable, but Robbo is really coming across like a wee tube these days....

quote:
Hibernian FC today announced that Manager Tony Mowbray and his assistant Mark Venus have signed two-year extensions to their contracts, which sees them under contract to the Club until the summer of 2008.

Hibernian Chairman Rod Petrie said: “The final details were sorted out over the weekend and we are all delighted to be making this announcement.

“Everyone associated with the Club, is delighted with what Tony and Mark have achieved with the players and as a team this Season. This announcement gives a clear statement to Hibernian supporters and players alike that we are determined to build on this great start and to continue to grow and develop the Club for the future.â€

“We spoke at length before his appointment and Tony explained his footballing principles. He has put those into practise by playing open and attractive football. Supporters have demonstrated their commitment to Tony’s philosophy by turning out in increasing numbers to back the team. If the trend of increasing crowds at Easter Road can be sustained, Tony will have greater flexibility when the transfer window re-opens at the end of the Season to shape his squad going forward.â€

“Today’s announcement means that we can get ahead with planning for next Season and beyond.â€

Tony Mowbray said: “I said we would sort things out pretty quickly and I am just delighted it’s done and dusted and we can focus on the job in hand. Both Mark and I are enjoying being at Hibs and working with a great bunch of lads, and we will continue to work as hard as we can to take the Club forward.†

Because we have about 6 strikers.

The only problem is that he doesn't realise Miller is probably our 2nd best talent wise - despite the goals Brooker has scored

Would we ever call you lot dirty icon_wink.gif

And I don't think we really need to call you cheats as the other teams seem to want to do that enough just now!

If we can win at Motherwell then I would be super confident about 3rd, don't think we will though so i'm just semi confident.

We've called you dirty cheating skanks all season, the smaller points difference means nothing icon13.gif

I would to be honest, can imagine one of Tony and Mark's strengths would be picking them up after a bad result so I'd expect a point at least tomorrow, hopefully we take a good 2/3 thousand through and get behind them. Having said that, if Murray and Boozy are out we could be a bit lightweight.
