Old Trafford Expanded

Manchester United Chairman Paulo1985 has today opened the brand new South stand at old trafford. The move will increase the Capicity of Old trafford to a massive 100,000 and will give more United fans than ever the chance to watch the red devils in action. It has not yet been announced if these new seats will be used for Season ticket seating or an increase in general sales but United are confident that any extra seats will easlily be filled by there existing Fan base from around the world.

The move said to have cost the Manchester Giants in excess of 18 Million pounds has been on the cards for a number of years since the last increase in 2006 when the stadium corners were constructed.

A fans spokesman had this to say: " we already have one of the best Stadiums in the world and this will just increase the difficulty that opposition teams face when playing against United at old trafford. Now they will be met everywhere they look by a wall of Red and we hope to make this stadium a fortress where teams fear to come. This will encourage the fans and players alike to propel Manchester United to the Premier league summit and wrestle the title back form its tempory home at Anfield."

toon_balmy - jus a little idea, would it be possible to post the Championship table periodically so that those chairmen in charge of clubs in or around the bottom 3 might get an idea of which team they might be in charge of next season, also along with this a list of the top performers in the Championship that could make the grade in the Premiership. Only do this if it is not too much effort.

PREDICTIONS

Chelsea for the title and the bottom three to be Cardiff, Blackburn and Fulham or my own Pompy!!!

Blackburn to get relegated! We got Shearer as manager, he won the league as a player when he was here and is now going to win the league as a manager! OK so maybe it won't be this season, but it will happen, anyway my prediction is Man U for the title and the bottom 3 will be Bolton, Portsmouth and Cardiff, although it would be good if Chelsea, went down as well!

What I mean is it would be good for the English game for the Arsenals, Chealseas, Man U, Liverpool etc. to spend a bit of time outside the prem, just think of the money the lower leagued teams would make by playing them.

I am a Chelsea fan and it was very uncalled for, I am going to write a letter to my local MP! Did the season start or anything? Did we have a last minute TV deal snag with SKY and now the Premier League is on strike?

Take your time Toon. You were kind enough to take over the running of this one and dedicate so much of your time to it so don't feel that you have to rush just post when you can. We all know that real life must come first so from time to time there will be delays.
