charlstonbigspuds
Wondering what has happened to strikers rounding the GK when running at them one on one ive not seen it happen once in a full season ive just played, used to love seeing aguero flying round the keeper on 09. To be fair i am blyth at min do the better strikers still do it or has it been removed?

charlstonbigspuds
Strange.. can anyone at FM explain how come it never happens anymore please?
bluemoon1992
not seen it yet!
Dazedx
seen it once only !
Hershie
Seen it quite a few times. I think GKs often stay on (or close to) their line and so rounding them isn't an option.
AMS
This really annoys me in one on ones when the striker has plenty of time but then shoots straight at the keeper!
Norville Rodgers
Agreed, can't recall seeing it yet on FM10.
Lumitchski
This really annoys me in one on ones when the striker has plenty of time but then shoots straight at the keeper! That's because the ME is a load of BS!
arsenalboy
Nope not seen it either.
ManUTactician247
Nope, no-one ever rounds the keeper
Hershie
Nope, no-one ever rounds the keeper Yes they do, in particular those with the appropriate PPM. None of my players have it and yet they still round the keeper on occasion such an option presents itself.
Indran1412
Seen it Torres doing it occasionally. Usually resulted in goals.

Hershie
We're playing the same game.
mlindqui43
I think SI will be working on it for the next patch, so it has been a brought up issue... and the fact that strikers just shoot the ball directly at the keepers. And everyone wonders why the other keepers are so good
SFraser
How many times do you see it happen in real life?
jaredk
strange, i've seen it done plenty of times, by my players and the opposition. but even stranger still, in the other thread, everyone said direct free kicks scored are common. but my best free kick taker only scored 2 in 2.5 seasons, and 1 was a deflection! are we playing the same game? Troneas
ive seen it happen once in patch 10.1 - benzema rounded a keeper to score. ive trained higuain in patch 10.2 to round the keeper to hopefully counter the superkeeper bug but he hasn't done so yet. nine_iron
my players seem to lob the keeper lots...
Hershie
I've rarely seen my players lob the goalie. Last time was Acquafresca for Everton at Anfield though.
Magnakai Haaskivi
David Villa went through a spurt for me where he tried like four lobs in three games. Once he scored one, he stopped.
joshb729
Rounding the Keeper is part of Finishing Training and you can try to get your players to learn it.
Montanaro
I havn't seen it either. I saw it quite a few times on FM09 though. There were opportunities for my strikers to round, but they decided it would be best to give the ball to the keeper.
Xinxin
I've never seen this either, used to see it far more often in FM09. I have seen lobs go both inside and outside of the goalmouth though.
joshb729
Like I said in my other post.. Train them to do it.
Montanaro
Like I said in my other post.. Train them to do it. lol, nobody is asking how to train them. People are pointing out how it never happens in the game, even if they are trained to do it.
joshb729
Umm.. My guys that are trained to do so do. I bag goals from rounding the keeper all the time. Most guys aren't trained to do so.
IMT
I trained one of my strikers to do it, and he now bangs one in at least every other match.
JLJ27
Like I said in my other post.. Train them to do it. I always thought that if you do that you ask him to round the keeper, not actually train him to do that? I asked that once, the player got irritated and just replied that it wouldn't help him to play better.
joshb729
Just 3-4 months of game time..
