Harryseaess
Do you have anyone else ligned up? I've still got Evans and Brown who should be able to cover his position until the end of the season. Also, i've got Otamendi for the future. What do you reckon? Purefun
He is a big player to give up on plus the fact its over 48 months. Hmmm. On the other had you probably won't get an offer like that again so yes sell.
Harryseaess
I decided against selling him, he has been my star defender so far this season. May reconsider in the summer.

AustSaint
I haven't gotten my game yet, but I am planning on buying one of the good young English CBs. The usual suspects are Shawcross, Wheater, Turner and Cahill. Which one would you recommend?, or is there someone else that is just as good or will develop to be as good?. I am going to play as Tottenham, so he would be either a backup or in a rotation, as I am planning on selling Dawson and Woodgate(main reason is that i don"t like Dawson and Woodgate is getting old)

ThE BoMBeR
I'm considering buying Torres for £60 mil... I know it's a lot but it's one of my goals on FM10... rougess
Buying/Selling: Buying Player Name: Carlos Vela Your Team: Barcelona Buyer/Seller: Arsenal Player's Value: £5.25 million Offer: Agreed price of £12.5 million (+£1.2 million for loan fee) Transfer/Wage Budget: £26 million, 76k a week Patch: 10.1 Season: 09/10 Signed him on loan thinking I'd definitely buy him, but 6.59 in 7 games (and no goals!) is pretty poor. I've tried him in quite a few roles up front and he's still not clicking. I'm tempted to sign him anyway in the hope he adapts, and worst case scenario I should still make a profit. If I don't sign him I'll need to bring in a young replacement, any suggestions? I'm thinking there can't be many young players as talented or affordable as he... If you're hell-bent on signing him, I don't think there's any doubt that he'll get you goals. Personally though, I wouldn't pay that kind of money for anyone. That's a good price for him and he should become a very good striker. 7 games in not a lot to judge him on tbf. Give him a run in the first-team and once he adapts, he should do well for you. ThE BoMBeR
Well, 60M is a heck of a lot of money but he is amongst the top 5 strikers on the game. If you're hell-bent on signing him, I don't think there's any doubt that he'll get you goals. Personally though, I wouldn't pay that kind of money for anyone. Yeah I don't normaly spend that kind of money either... But I NEVER tried torres before in any FM iirc so this time I want to sign him... I'm afraid if I wait till the end of the second season his price will go even higher.
theincrediblehulk
Well, go for it then. Like I said, he'll get you goals and plenty of them. So if you're happy spending the cash, he should be a quality addition to your team.

ThE BoMBeR
I need an MC that can attack and defend a little (attack is more important) to fit into my 4-3-1-2 formation. I narrowed it down to Gourcuff or Modric as they seem the type of players that I need. I never had any of them, so who do you recommend? You can suggest other players if you want. I will take a look at them if you decide to do so. Thanks
Harryseaess
Gourcuff, he is amazing for me. 12 games, 6 goals, 7 assists so far this season. He cost me £17.5m

-lewis-16-
ThE BoMBeR I think he's got decent potential in the game, but I don't really rate him irl. -lewis-16-
Harryseaess I'd say no actually, Garay just doesn't cut it for me. He's very sound technically, but he has some glaring flaws I think. He has low bravery, which I always thinks a necessity for a centre back, his determination is abysmal and he's very slow too. I think you can do a lot better with the money you have. Someone like Simon Kjaer, David Luiz, Nicolas Otamendi, Sokratis Papastathopolous or even Ryan Shawcross would be better I think. Or if your will to splash out on Sakho, then go for him
