Taking this into account I'd go for your first choice, with an i5 processor. second one is pretty much the same price, in fact it's slightly cheaper at £500, my first one with an i5 is £530. I do only play FM and no other games. So this the final decision which one?

Ishu
What about graphics? How would it run them? I.m not comfortable with intergrated graphics at all. This integrated graphics will run FM on high easily. Its a little better than Intel HD. If you still want a dedicated card. ATI Radeon HD5450 £30 Total cost £550 The ATI card will/can run in Xfire with the onboard graphic card. This means that both the integrated card and this card will work together. TigerTime
Here's a custom one that I made online at pcspecialist.com. What do you think of the specs: Processor - AMD Athlon X4 645 3.10ghz Mobo - ASUS M4A78LT Memory - 4gb (2*2gb) 1333MHz RAM Graphics card - 1GB Ati Radeon HD 5450 HD - 1TB (7,200rpm) Secondary HD - 250 GB (7,200rpm) Blu Ray - 24x Dual Layer DVD writer Power Supply - 450W Quiet + 120mm Fan case OS - Windows 7 64 bit Warranty - 3 years standard Build time - 9-12 days All that comes to £544 VAT included. The processor is pretty powerful because it has a good speed and 4 cores. 4gb will run FM nicely and graphics card will run FM graphics on high easily. You have a massive HD so you can store all your stuff and a secondary HD, which will up the performance of your PC. Comes with a powerful 450W power supply which is quiet which is a nice bonus. Windows 7 is installed and it comes with a handy 3 year warranty. What do you think Ishu?
Ishu
Your recommendation looks good Ishu. But will his PC have 3 RAM slots, most just have 2. Err, the mobo in this(my) config has 4 slots. Even after getting 3x2=6GB he will still have a free slot. Also 3 sticks = triple channeling = fast He can even stick in 4 4GB sticks for 16GB RAM What do you think Ishu? Looks good. Only thing is we don't know exactly which power supply they are giving.
TigerTime
450W Quiet 80 PLUS Dual Rail PSU + 120mm Fan Case It's pretty cheap at £29.
grasu
Hello all. I'm thinking of upgrading my PC but I'm not sure which option to chose exactly in regards to FM performance. Can anyone help me out? First set up: AMD Phenom II X4 4 GB DDR3 New Mobo to fit it all Cost: 240-260 euro Second set up: Intel Core 2 Duo 3 ghz Another 2 GB RAM get a total of 4GB DDR2 Cost: 140 euros, giver or take I'm just wondering, considering money is an issue, if I would see significant performance changes from a Core 2 Duo to a Quad core and from DDR2 to DDR3. Would those performance changes warrant the extra 100-120 euros? I should also mention that my video card is crap so I won't be playing anything else. Therefore I want smooth performance with at least 15 leagues running, even during late game. Can anyone tell me which is the better cost/performance set-up? grasu
First setup is much better. Checkout the motherboard few posts above. What exactly do you have right now?? grasuYou'd see significant change in the speed of FM if you upgraded to the first choice and it comes at a good price. Go for the first set up. Right now I have an emachines pile of crap with a single core Pentium E2210 and 3 GB of RAM running at different speeds (!!!). I'm running Windows 7 and I had to drop a very successful game after 11 seasons (with some 12 leagues loaded) because it was nigh unplayable. Thanks for the suggestions guys, I too was leaning towards the first set up and I think if I can get the money I'll go for it. However, I'm curious if I would see an improvement with the second one as well, or if it would be negligible.

Yes. 3D on high and 10-20 leagues with 50000 players Hi, how would you guys rate this Mac mini with 4GB ram? Is the graphic card good enough for 3D full details?http://www.apple.com/macmini/specs.html Looks cool. Will run 3D on high easily. But looks expensive at $699. Ok, i'm settled on everything except the graphics will the Integrated ATI Radeon HD 4250 graphics (DirectX10.1) 100% run fm on maximum graphic detail with everything switched on smoothly and flawless? If so i'll stick with that. Yes it will run FM11 3D on high. Probably FM12 too. And FIFA 11 on high. IMO this is a very future proof system, except the graphic card. I would recommend you to get this and add a graphic card later. ATI are also launching their next series by November. I'm going with 8 gig of RAM Great.
