Mike_Cardinal
Okay, I've downloaded the New Patch and I'm ill so I've slogged away on the Editor, finding out who are all the new -10s and -9s, as well as looking at players with very high fixed PAs. Please note that I wasn't able to put in any accents or whatever on the letters as that would take ages, nonetheless, they'll come up on Player Search. You may well notice quite a few notable changes since the last patch: Some players have swapped in between being a -10 and being a -9, some players have gained a fixed rating instead of being one of those, and some have acquired one of the 3 completely out of the blue, not being so well rated beforehand. Some credit goes to whoever it was that posted the excellent thread that did a similar thing for the last patch. Here goes: -10s (Players with a random PA between 170-200) Anderson - Man Utd - Attacking Midfielder (Centre) Ever Banega - Valencia - Defensive Midfielder Bojan - Barcelona - Striker Giovanni Dos Santos - Barcelona - Attacking Midfielder (Right, Centre), Forward (Centre) Martin Galvan - Cruz Azul - Attacking Midfielder (Centre) Sebastian Giovinco - Juventus - Attacking Midfielder (Left, Centre), Forward (Centre) Toni Kroos - FC Bayern - Attacking Midfielder (Centre) Pato - Milan - Forward (Centre) Henri Saivet - Girondins Bordeaux - Attacking Midfielder (Left, Right), Forward (Centre) Mamadou Sakho - Paris Saint-Germain - Defender (Left, Centre) Carlos Vela - Arsenal - Attacking Midfielder (Left, Centre), Forward (Centre) -9s (Players with a random PA between 150-180) Aaron - Valencia - Attacking Midfielder/Forward (Centre) Loic Abenzoar - Olympique Lyonnais - Defender (Right, Centre), Wing Back (Right) Vincent Acapandie - AJ Auxerre - Striker Sadick Adams - At. Hopefully this thread can be of some use to somebody, or otherwise I've just wasted a lot of my time! Feel free to use this thread to discuss those players whose PAs have taken a big hit (e.g. Oscar Ustari/Lucas/Silva/Lulinha etc.) and also those guys who've gotten a lot better or simply emerged from nowhere (e.g. Manuel Neuer/Martin Galvan/Mamadou Sakho etc.). Enjoy.
joer131
Any chance of a shortlist of this from anyone? Also - good work chap!
Mike_Cardinal
Cheers. If someone could sort out a shortlist, that would great, but I have no idea how to do it.
theincrediblehulk
Excellent work mate. Thanx for all the hard work. As for changes, not gone through the whole list but: - I'm glad that Ustari's PA has been brought down. He's not half of what he was being made out to be. Thats definitely good. - Dont agree one bit on putting Lucas so low. He's quality and its not his damn fault that he's a twit for a boss. - Not sure about Lulinha as never seen him play but he's been tracked up a few big clubs IRL. - Wtf are the on about putting Silva down so much? Thats just silly. He's still got massive potential. Maybe get his stats down a little but his PA should certainly be up there. Are they trying to tell me that Ben Arfa has more potential than Silva? As good as I think Ben Arfa will turn out, thats just a bloody joke. - Never heard of Neuer and very little of Galvan to comment! - Just saw Walcott too has been made into a fixed PA. Not sure if I like that tbh. We still dont know how he'll turn out IRL so I think a -9 for him was best. But good for me as I play Arsenal mostly and now know he'll turn out pretty good. - The worst bloody decision is to give Denilson a fixed PA of 172. He's miles better than that. One of the players who should be a -10 imo. Thats just weird. - Not increased Flamini's PA? Are they kidding? I'd reckon he deserves atleast getting a 175 now. Especially if Diarra can be 175. - Said it when the game first came out and will say it again. Ronaldo, Fabregas & Messi should all have the same PA. If anything, Ronaldo should now be slightly higher seeing the kind of form he's been in. Not seen much more though! Nice work again.
Mike_Cardinal
I agree that Flamini is getting ridiculous. If you think how he's been playing irl, I can see putting his CA at the start at 160 as about right, but the fact that his PA is pretty much the same at 162 is ridiculous! A young player like him not progressing whatsoever! Haven't really seen much of Lucas irl, but he was one of my favourite players in the game in the last patch. Looks like the battle for the title of "Best Goalie" is hotting up. Akinfeev is the same as before, with Neuer looking to be the challenger. His stats aren't all that really, probably worse than Igor's, but he's not as likely to punch and is a backup at the start of the game and so available at around £8m! Hugo Lloris has got a big bump up though and is right on their tails, and stats wise he may look like the safest bet to me. Ustari now has a release clause of £4mish from the offset though, so if he gets a very high PA then he'll still be solid.

Don't get me wrong hes a quality young player. But theres a reason Man Utd, Chelsea & Arsenal don't want him and want Ben Arfa.
Rohan The Barbarian
Nice work. Pity so many of my staple signing have taken a knock P.S. Breno, if you can hear me, take that for moving clubs!!! Just kidding
Mike_Cardinal
Had a look at Martin Galvan, the kid could turn out class, but he's only 14, and isn't allowed to join you until 2010. Lol he's on £10 a week, and only 5 foot 3. I wonder if the game makes players that young grow at all. Should be a staple buy at the start for any half-decent team planning a long game though, as by the time he comes he'll be great, or at least a lot better! theincrediblehulk
Mate have you ever seen both players play?David Silva is ridiculously overrated in this game. Don't get me wrong hes a quality young player. But theres a reason Man Utd, Chelsea & Arsenal don't want him and want Ben Arfa. Yep seen them both play (although seen Silva much more admittedly). Like I said, maybe it wasnt right to make his stats as good as they were in the game, but they could have easily just lowered his CA and his stats a bit but let his PA remain the same. There wasnt any need to suddenly knock him down so much. Whats he done so bad in the last few months since the game's been out anyway? Valencia has struggled as a team as has every one of their players. So isnt fair to say that Silva's should PA should take a knock. I'm quite happy with Ben Arfa at 185 though as I do think he's quality. As for the big 3 watching him: - Arsenal would obviously. He's young, good technically and French = ideal Arsenal player or should I say, ideal Wenger player. - Man Utd would because Sir Alex is happy to buy any youngster who shows a lot of potential. - Chelsea would because they like to get after any player that Arsenal & Man Utd want. The reason we dont see people scouting around much for Silva is because he'd be ridiculously expensive. But I suppose all of it subject to personal opinion anyway. Cant really say you're wrong and I'm right or vice versa. Just different opinions so we'll leave it at that.
*Jak3o*
Im speeking here for all cardiff city fans Surely Aaron Ramsey should have better potential now?
Mike_Cardinal
Aaron Ramsey is still young, and he's still a -8 (130-160 random PA). There's still a hell of a lot of room there, anything from a good Championship player to a very good Premiership player seems fair enough to me, it should still be random. Should be a staple buy at the start for any half-decent team planning a long game though, as by the time he comes he'll be great, or at least a lot better! PMLF
- Not sure about Lulinha as never seen him play but he's been tracked up a few big clubs IRL. He's been pretty poor at Corinthians senior team, compared to what was expected from him.

As good as I think Ben Arfa will turn out, thats just a bloody joke. Mate have you ever seen both players play? David Silva is ridiculously overrated in this game. Don't get me wrong hes a quality young player. But theres a reason Man Utd, Chelsea & Arsenal don't want him and want Ben Arfa. </div></BLOCKQUOTE> Thats a stupid reason to give,he really doesn't need to move & Valencia aren't going to sell him. Juts because Valencia are having a poor season doesn't mean tha Silva's ratings go down so much.Atleast SI shld have waited till FM 09 to do it. Ah well atleast theres Banega now. big_bob
After the patch, Hugo Lloris had become the best young keeper in the game. He's only 20 years old, and with solid stats and a PA of 180, he's a must buy for any good team in the beggining of the game. I always buy him when I play with Arsenal. I agree with you about the whole stat lowering thing. I cannot understand it though, why lower all the players stats? the only stats i've seen improved are the Arsenal players. Strange. Matt Williams
Do these changes come into play in games which have been started on 8.0.1 and then 8.0.2 is downloaded?
Rohan The Barbarian
Well many who have done this have noticed significant stat reduction in their players, however some changes (player transfers) do not take place until a new game is started with the 8.0.2. patch. Masquerade
Hey all, done everyone a favour as well while doing so for myself. Sorry to the guy who doesn't like filefront, not sure where else I could put it. Anyway, I've made a shortlist of all the fixed PA players. These guys don't appear in either of Dexta's lists and for those who don't know they are the ones who tend to be a bit better off the bat and less of a gamble, although players in Dexta's lists are more likely to be with you longer in to the game. Fixed PA players
Masquerade
Ah, well not sure if anyone noticed but it seems Dexta has two shortlists which actually are identical to one another despite their names. I imagine this is a mistake, with one of them intended to be the list I've just made

Mike_Cardinal
Well, it means that he'll be one hell of a lot harder to buy if you're playing as someone else, as before he'd come to pretty much anyone at the start for free. Also, what was the point on Distel Zola heavybass? He is there on the list of -9s if that's what you meant, he's at the bottom as it's done alphabetically.
