DanGLiverpool
Anyone noticed a consistency in a team buying all your dead wood. I am at Bromley, and Brickfield Rangers, have brought 3 or 4 players off me. I have brought 1 from them. Brickfield are a Welsh amateur team. Anyone else noticed a certain club buying your rejects. Nikoladze
so you saying campbell and defoe are rejects ...........ummmmm ok I dont think he was saying that they are rejects, he was making a comparison to clubs that buy from a number of players from a certain team IRL
CowSimao
I'm Benfica and Leixoes always buy some of my former U19 players who turn 20 and aren't good enough for my main squad.

SCIAG
West Ham. They signed three of my poor centre backs and my third choice right winger (though tbf he was pretty good).
PERCIVA11
Tottenham with my Everton. I sold Arteta, Yakubu, Baines & Cahill to them. I know what you're thinking, why has he sold probably Evertons four best players anyway.. They were too old for me as I was getting through a few seasons
Death.
thats like how portsmouth take spurs and arsenal's players IRL, like campbell, defoe, lauren, etc. I don't think Spurs and Arsenal count as the same club, despite being from a similar location... Portsmouth have bought one player from Tottenham and two players from Arsenal. Not quite the same thing. You can't combine the two clubs. Of course if you throw Kanu in you have a case for Arsenal with Pompey having 3 of their ex-players. Plus Traore, although he's on loan right? (So not a reject.) mimland
Not been having this on 09 yet but in previous versions yes. It sucks to lose against them though.

DanGLiverpool
Not been having this on 09 yet but in previous versions yes. It sucks to lose against them though. I don't have to worry against a Welsh amateur team. Although I will arrange a friendly in pre-season just to see if they are any good:)
mimland
I find myself picking up everyone elses leftovers at the moment and it is working out pretty decent.
Indi75
Spurs, Man City, Villa, and Blackburn... consistently the same 4 teams trying to buy anything vaguely crap.... Pennant, Benayoun, Keane, Itandje (What is it with teams paying £3.5m for Itandje?)
Nicki
Not in Football Manager 2009, but in 2008, French teams bought my stars at Los Angeles Galaxy, I developed them and they bought them, and in year 2018, I was the 8.th righest club in the world and still doing well in the league. The players I wanted to get rid off, I traded to other Major League Soccer clubs or waived them.
steviejay
I wouldn't say 'deadwood' but in my Rangers game pretty much every player I wanted to sell / wanted to leave Sunderland came in with a great bid. Was rather peculiar.
crafty bison
In 2008, I was Arsenal and all my young midfielders who didn't quite make it seemed to end up at Portsmouth. In 2009, I am Southampton and when I was promoted to the Premier League Sunderland snapped up three of my fringe players. I quite like this actually, because then I can keep an eye on just one other club and track the progress of my former players.
AB-forever
Dinamo Moscow have 5 or 6 of my ex-players in their first team EDIT: And they're about to get another one
rougess
In my Man City save, I have a "sell at 30" policy, which means a lot of expensive players get sold, and Barcelona are always buying them. The annoying thing is that you feel quite bitter when you lose to an ageing team that was formerly yours. Newcastle and Tottenham always buy my cheaper players and regens. They bid for the expensive players as well but they always choose Barca.
