outlaw640
There is an extinct checkbox in the stadium editor, just wondering what it is for, sounds interesting
Ryan,,,
If you click it it means the stadium no longer exists.

blueglobefootball123
Whats the point in that then in the editor?# If you unselect Maine Road, do Man City start playing at that ground again?
SI Staff Ter Posted August 10, 2008 SI Staff Share Posted August 10, 2008 Whats the point in that then in the editor?#If you unselect Maine Road, do Man City start playing at that ground again? No, but it could be used if they can't play at their own stadium for whatever reason.
Mike7077
What's the point of having 'extinct' stadiums in the database? Does it serve a purpose I'm not seeing?
Themistofelis
Nikos Goumas, Athens was demolished like 5 years ago , i am awaiting to see AEK playing between garbage

PMLF
Most of these stadiums had been added into the db before they became "extinct".
Mike7077
Ter already answered your question No he didn't. His answer referred to if you uncheck the 'extinct' option.
Ryan,,,
Nikos Goumas, Athens was demolished like 5 years ago , i am awaiting to see AEK playing between garbage Playing between garbage? 1. Don't they play in the Olympic stadium and 2. The correct term is "rubbish".

"No, but it could be used if they can't play at their own stadium for whatever reason " So if OAKA is not available they will move back to N.Goumas ... and BTW the place where N.Goumas was now is a landfill ....full of garbage . jod123
What's the point of having 'extinct' stadiums in the database? Does it serve a purpose I'm not seeing? Yeah, why just not delete them from the database?
outlaw640
I was under the impression nothing gets deleted, people just become 'retired persons'
LRJ
If its extinct how can you play there? Theres a box where you can add a stadium into for certain events, but if Maine Road isnt in there then you cant play there surely
chopper99
Things like this are usually left in for historical perposes. Even though the stadiums aren't in use any more there may be an instance in the game when they may be mentioned, particularly when looking at past records. Rubbish. Not garbage! I'm on a campaign to eliminate all American words from the English language. Oh, I once created a club, Hove FC and had them play at the Goldstone. Damn Bill Archer!
