I didn`t really want to sell so i negotiated and said i wanted Nordveit and Merida, they accepted, but do you think i should? As i thought they would pull out. The end of the demo saw me in 9th position, with 9 wins and 5 draws from 20 games) - 5 points from a CL position. Other players I had lined up included: Martin Hansen - GK cover Malul - in order to sell Carr Breno - in order to sell Rampage Was then looking at a striker (had regengotiated Martins contract), in order to let Ameobi and poss Viduka go. Anyone know how much you can get him for in FM2008? well as you know newcastle only start with 6 to 10 million is it depending on final position, try selling the likes of Duff, Butt, Ameobi and even either Owen or Martins, which ever you prefer. Martins is extraordinarily good too, he's worth £14,000,000 at the moment on mine, BUT he has a Minmum Fee Release clause of £13,000,000 and he's unsettled because he wants to move to a bigger club. If someone bids his value, I'm buggered. So my advice is offer him a new contract straight away and get rid of that Minimum Fee Release clause. Also, Jóse Enrique is worth only £4,600,000 but I'm recieving bids of £15,000,000 for him now, so don't sell him Sorry if this bores anyone by the way, just giving advice based on experience. Hopefully when he's in his prime he is a cross between them both! I've got Saviet in the U18's still, to improve him. It's a shame Van der Varrt is injured, I find that playing Gourcuff MR and Van der Varrt AMC is a good combination. Plus Gourcuff can go AMC, so you can switch it about abit. Works well. Top goalscorers: Oba Martins - Played 51 Scored 35. Michael Owen - Played 57 Scored 35. Rafael van der Vaart - Played 52 Scored 18. Most Assits: James Milner - 19. Top Rated: Rafael van der Vaart (7.33) Top 5 in Prem: 1st Man Utd - 82 points 2nd Newcastle - 79 points. 3rd Chelsea - 77 points. 4th Arsenal - 69 points. 5th Man City - 65 points. ------------------------------------------------ So, I had a great season. It was a shame about the EURO Cup final. It ended 3-2, they scored in the final half of extra time. I was very very pee'd off. Michael Owen once again won the golden boot, Oba Martins came third. Rafael van der Vaart won player of the year. Georginio Wijnaldum came 2nd in young player of the year. Henri Saivet, he's played 43 and scored 53 in the U18's. I'm planning on playing him in the seniors next season. Hope this helps people plan their action! Would be cool if we all posted how we're getting on. A complete shock since with 3 games to go I was behind both Man Utd and Arsenal, but United lost 2 in a row and Arsenal drew on the last game of the season to hand the title to me. Spedding Posted October 20, 2007 Share Posted October 20, 2007 Well i started off as Newcastle. I signed saivet, Doyle, got flamini on loan and got malbranque on a player exchange. I also have signed kerlon, gouffran and dudu cearense theyll be coming in january. I Sold Martins to Tottenham for 9 million plus malbranque, ameobi has gone to reading for 1.5 million, and viduka has gone to bolton for 500 thousand. I have found emre and barton together in centre midfield play well together. As do Smith and Owen do upfront. I have struggled in the league but am doing better now currently 7th after beating chelsea, Liverpool, and arsenal, my team at the moment is given beye Faye/cacapa Taylor enrique malbranque emre/flamini barton nzogbia owen smith/doyle Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
