Team Franchise 2008
Not a fan of the League Cup, I always skip through the LC matches by going on holiday for a day, not caring if I get through or not (I'm Chesterfield in this game) so to my surprise, I lost 47-0. How? Well, looking at the team sheet, it seems we sent NOBODY out. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v260/teamfranchise/wtf-2.jpg

Team Franchise 2008
To make matters worse, it turns out it was a league game. Didn't realise Boro had been relegated. Sigh..

eggfwiedwice
Hmmm, the last person also lost 47-0. Coincidence? Or does te bug always make you lose to that specific result? Hmmmm...

nudgex
i would be disapointed if i was middlesborough and lost 47-0 against another team with no players on the pitch !!!!!!!!!!!!

Inigo Montoya
Who took the kick-off after Boro scored their first?? I'm also amused that Alves managed 18 goals, which I suspect is more than he will manage in his entire Boro career IRL
Toon07
Is it just me, or does this show up what must be a worrying bug in the match engine... that one of the key rules of the game hasn't been programmed in at all... surely there couldn't be a kick off if there were no opposition players? Dave C
What bothers me is, the score is 47-0 and there are only 46 goals scored if you tot up the goalscorers. I find this very suspicious and don't think it's a bug.

postal postie
could this be something to do with the invisible wall situation some of us had with previuos games? i remember luis garcia took a straight long range shot which was going ever so slightly wide before bouncing 90 degrees off an invisible wall about a foot from the goal line and then instantly hitting another invisible wall bouncing off at 90 degrees and going into the top corner

TL
You'd think a team would win more than 47 - 0 if they were playing against no opposition, poor result for Boro IMO
Team Franchise 2008
Clicking on one of the goals, they do indeed have invisible players, but shots are easily scored. Looking at the stats, I had eight free kicks and a shot on target. I also managed to win 60% of tackles. And for the person asking, one of their goals was scored by <%person#1> own goal
