GlasgowRob
just wondering if we will get a 64 bit version of fm this year? any of the devs or people in the know shed some light on this?
Saha's Crocked Knee
From what Si have said before it won't be until most players have moved onto a 64 bit system. Having 64 myself I can't wait but probably at a guess within the next 5 releases maybe
mkus
I would have thought it unlikely, but then again I'm not in the know.
GlasgowRob
it would be nice if they could offer a 32bit and 64 bit exe allowing people to make use of 64 bit systems and of course large amounts of ram
GlasgowRob
even some sort of virtual address enlargement would be nice hint hint
DivineOne
Seeing this stat, I think it's time to introduce 64bit fm:
dave byrd
Can't see why they wouldn't release FM11 both 32 and 64.
SSGTroyer
Seeing this stat, I think it's time to introduce 64bit fm: That's all well and good...but how about a chart depicting a percentage of OSs in use? If Win7 is, say 15%, Vista 25%, and XP 60%, SI would have a point in not devoting resouces to a 64bit .exe just yet...
edgar555
Seeing this stat, I think it's time to introduce 64bit fm: 87% of statistics are made up on the spot. And as SSG points out this means nothing unless you know how many are running each OS. Can't see why they wouldn't release FM11 both 32 and 64. Extra dev time? Testing time? And maybe some other tech stuff I know nothing about.
DivineOne
http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_os.asp + remember that Windows 8 is coming out next year. BTW, I don't expect 64bit on fm 2011, but for fm 2012. By that time, most people will have an 64bit os.

mkus
I would have thought it unlikely, but then again I'm not in the know. That said, they continue to make a Mac version, so...
asdpoo
In my experience the single-threaded day-to-day processing is bigger bottleneck than RAM. And it is not users we are talking about here, but gamers. Their PCs tend to differ from the millions of cubicle work stations.
