SC Preussen Münster - 2.Bundesliga - End of Season - 2037/38

General - Vision - Facilities - Finances

Season Review

Transfers - Released - Youth

We sold four players for a combined fee of £775k,one player left on a free and another one went out on loan.Coming were eight players for a combined fee of £89k so it is always a plus to see us make a net profit on transfers.Nine players were released as they were taking up too much money at the club and I decided to take them off the book due to the financial situation at the club.

Schedule 1 - Schedule 2

Competitions

2.Bundesliga - Winners

OIyzLhP.png?1

We came out on top in one of the most frustrating seasons I have played to date.It was always going to be between ourselves and Kaiserslautern as neither team had dropped below third during the season. In the end we edged it by two point thanks to Kaiserslautern's bottling ability with one win from the last five games. The fact we came out with the title with six wins in our last fourteen games is actually funny but I am glad this season is now over.If it wasn't for our attacking force then I don't think we would have won the title.

Dfb-Pokal - 2nd Round

abym452.png?1

We won the first round on penalties against Bochum in what was a very exciting match for the neutrals. The second round saw us come extremely close to an upset but two goals in injury time robbed us of victory,it would have been an undeserved victory against Bayer Leverkusen but I am still gutted.

Manager's Thoughts

What a season that was as we made it back to back titles which now sends us up to the Bundesliga where we will be playing with the big boys of Germany. It was a bit unexpected but there wasn't a stand out team this season so it went to the last day of the season to decide who would get what. The finances are looking okay now as we have £9.8 million in the bank but that will increase next season as the bottom place team in Bundesliga gets £28.99 million so we should be able to start increase the facilities,Junior Coaching and Youth Recruitment which will give us a solid foundation to try and bring through the youth system. Not sure we will get any more new sponsors but I am hoping to make a bit more money for club membership as going up to the top flight should raise the number of members.

Next season will be about trying to survive in the top flight,we've been given more coaches so we can specialise the training better but I am hoping for upgrade to the facilities so the players will be able to progress more in their development.I doubt there will be much in regards to transfer activity,we already have an MC and a AMC joining in July,I have identified a DL and a DR who would help add depth to the team as they both have high potential.the other area I want to get a player in is the DM role in case I need to play more defensively. If we can get players in these positions then we should be set for the next five to seven seasons unless the chairman decides to sell players over my head.

We were down on sponsorship and Broadcast Revenues by about £385k but we more than covered it due to the Competition Prize Money and with the other two categories also being up,we made a lot of money compared to this time last year.We should also be able to make a profit next season due the prize money being at least £28 million so we should be okay for the next few years.

SC Preussen Münster - Bundesliga - Pre-Season - 2038/39

General - Vision - Facilities - Finances

Season Preview - Expectations

Transfers - Released - Youth

We bought in eight players for a combined fee of £3.4 million, these players all have high potential and could all play a part in the first team in the future.I think I need to keep an eye on Chemnitzer as they seem to be producing a lot of talent and I would like to get at least one more from there.Of the signing I made,it was only Iacono who was bought in to replace our outgoing player. On the outgoing side of things,Olexandr Pets was sold to RB Leipzig for £7.5 million (raising to £10,75 million) which leaves us in profit for the season, not a bad amount for a player who never appeared for the first team! Two players were released and I wasn't going to keep either one of them at the club.

Pre-Season Fixtures

HnRAQzs.png?1

Nice to see that we won all our games in pre-season so the morale will be slightly higher going into the new season in what could be a very long season. The fitness levels are great so I am happy with that and the players seem to be developing partnerships with each other so that could be beneficial for us as that will help the team cohesion.

Manager's Thoughts

I've done the best I can during pre-season but I still think we are in for a very long season and with odds of 1000-1,we are one of five teams with these odds who will be fighting at the bottom of the table, the other teams with 1000-1 odds are Kaiserslautern,Hannover 96,Mainz and Fortuna Dusselldorf so I know the teams we have to do better than.I think we will have a great squad with a few more years of development but at this moment in time,we are definitely one of the weaker teams but I think we may be able to surprise some teams. The finances are okay as we currently sit at £7.2 million,we will have a much higher balance come the end of the season as even the bottom place team will receive £30.01 million so no matter what happens,I will be able to increase everything with regards to facilities and other youth categories.

My aim for this season is to somehow survive as that will be a large amount of money coming into the club,I don't care how we do this even if it is by winning the relegation playoffs,I just want survival.Looking at past seasons,we will need to get 40 points as this is the most any team has got to just about survive, the low points total for survival is surprisingly 26 but with so many teams in the pack at the bottom then I should aim for a higher amount.I'm also hoping to further increase Junior Coaching and Youth Recruitment,we have already had an upgrade to these so we now sit at Adequate Junior Coaching and Average Youth Recruiment. The wheels have now started turning as we head slowly to the top,I've just got to make sure the wheels don't fall completely off.

Manager's Thoughts

What a month that was in the league as we picked up five points and finished the month in eighth. This was also an impressive month for us as all three teams in the league were predicted to be in the top half of the division. We kicked off our Dfb-Pokal with a 4-0 win as we moved onto the second round which actually meets the expectations of the board so is a bit of relief for us if we take a downturn in form.No further transfers were made but we could have made money easily as we rejected a bid of £15.75 million for Ibrahim Diaby from RB Leipzig.

Three games in September and we will be facing Hoffenheim,Wolfsburg and Bayer Leverkusen in the league.Hoffenheim are the lowest predicted team of three while the other two teams are predicted for the top ten so the tough start continues for us.I would like us to pick up some points as we continue to the magical 40 point mark, just 35 more points to go!

Manager's Thoughts

Two wins from three have seen us rise up to sixth place as we beat Hoffenheim and Wolfsburg but lose to Bayer Leverkusen.I know it is still early days in the season but I can't believe how bad both RB Leipzig and Wolfsburg are doing so far.No complaints from me during September but my only question is how did Bayer Leverkusen only score two past us?They completely dominated us and they showed the gulf in quality between the smaller teams and the biggest teams in the league,I might be able to match them in two seasons!

Five games in October, four are in the league and one in the Dfb-Pokal.In the league we are facing Kaiserslautern,Freiburg,Frankfurt and Schalke 04,I just want to keep picking up points as I want to get to forty points as fast as possible as that means we will have survived. The big game from me comes in the Dfb-Pokal and we have a derby match against Arminia Bielefeld, the last time we played was in 3.Liga and we beat them 2-0,we now have a stronger side so I do believe we should progress with little problem.

Manager's Thoughts

Another brilliant month for us as we picked up eight points from twelve which has kept us in sixth place,we currently have nineteen points so we need twenty one to ensure we survive.I think our best performance in the league actually came in the game against Frankfurt as we were 3-1 down so to pull it back to 3-3 was brilliant and we were unlucky not to win it.As for the Dfb-Pokal derby against Arminia Bielefeld,we won the game but I was less than satisfied with the performance as we should of won this without any trouble but players were showing complacency during the game which I wasn't happy about.

Three games in November and we will be facing Hertha Berlin,Hannover and Bayern Munich.Just facing Hertha Berlin and Bayern Munich make this an absolutely awful month for fixtures so my biggest hope for points comes in the game against Hannover. If we can get four points from this month then I will be satisfied.

Manager's Thoughts

When I was hoping for four points,I was expecting it to be a draw against Hertha and lose against Bayern but we lost to Hertha and drew with Bayern! We could of walked out with more points if things went our way,our 93rd minute goal against Hertha was actually an equaliser then we switched off and they immediately scored the winner and against Bayern we missed a penalty in the 78th minute which would have gave us a 3-2 lead.We did beat Hannover which was a great victory,we finished the month in sixth which is great as we are still in the race as we are only four points behind first place.

Three games in December with all of them being in the league,we will be facing Borussia M'Gladbach,Stuttgart and Mainz. The Gladbach game will be really tough as they are also flying high in the league while the other tough match is against Mainz and that is a battle of the overachievers as both ourselves and Mainz were given odds of 1000-1 to win the title and here we are with the teams in the title fight.Stuttgart are  underachieving so we will have to be careful when we face them but I think we can beat them.My aim for the month is five points as that will keep us away from the relegation battle.

Youth Intake Preview

pHQRlNn.png?1

This is better than last seasons as we have green on it but we know players can come through who are at a decent level even if a preview is all yellow.I am excited to see the left winger coming through as he is a home town boy and could possibly be our first home town boy in the team.I just hope is good enough as we seem to be having a shortage of brilliant German talent coming through as all the best talent seems to have started coming through in Spain.

Manager's Thoughts

The overachieving continues as we picked up seven points from nine as we finished the year in fifth place and still in a unexpected title race. With one game remaining till the halfway point,I was not expecting it to be this close at the top.No complaints from any of the games as both wins were deserved while we didn't even deserve to get a point against Borussia M'Gladbach as they completely outplayed us but our defence held on.

We kick off the new year with a friendly before we play four league games. The friendly is against 3.Liga side Energie Cottbus,I am just using this for fitness reasons. The league games are against Fortuna Dusseldorf,Hamburg,Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig,I forgot how hard the start of the season was so hopefully I don't drop too many points as I want to stay in a position challenging for Europe.Three games are against teams in the top eight so I am not setting any expectations as if things go wrong in January then things can only get better from that point. The transfer window is open in January and we have £2.1 million available to spend,my only transfer target is a DL as I found out we are lacking in that area so it is a position we need to fill,I have narrowed my choices down to two players so I want to get one of these in.

The New Signing

pt1IIFs.png?1

He was our first choice pick for the DL position,he did cost me £250k despite the fact we could have got him on a free at the end of the season but I'd rather get him now then miss out as he came with a scout report rating of 85!He will be slotting straight into the DL position as he is our best player in that role.

One for the Future

imSn62k.png?1

Think Bayer Leverkusen are going to regret not signing him to a new deal,he will be joining us in July on a free which is great. He is actually labelled as Wonderkid so I am quite excited to see him play for us.

Manager's Thoughts

Not a great month as we picked up four points from four games and all four points came away from home which was slightly encouraging.I was disappointed with both home games as we were terrible against Fortuna Dusseldorf and blew a 2-0 lead against Hamburg. We finished the month strongly with a point against Dortmund before we beat RB Leipzig in the final game of the month. We finished the month in sixth place but it's really close in the fight for a European spot but we the first aim is survival and we need six points to ensure we survive and with fourteen games to go,we should be able to do it.

Five games in February, four are in the league and one in the Dfb-Pokal.We kick the month off with the Dfb-Pokal in which we will be facing RB Leipzig,we are away to them and we have just beat them 3-0 in the league at their ground so hopefully that will have given us a bit of a boost but we have exceeded expectations so I will be satisfied with whatever happens. In the league we are facing Hoffenheim,Wolfsburg,Bayer Leverkusen and Kaiserslautern,if we can pick up six points then that will be amazing as that is my target for survival,we have three possible games we could win and Bayer Leverkusen so it's definitely possible to get the six points.

Manager's Thoughts

The league went great as we picked up seven points from four which takes us to 41 points which should be enough for survival.Again we did better away from home as we won six points on the road with wins against Wolfsburg and Kaiserslautern,no real problems with the results at home as a draw was a far result against Hoffenheim while Bayer Leverkusen dominated us but we managed to keep the scoreline respectable. As for the Dfb-Pokal,we were extremely lucky against RB Leipzig as we scored the winner against the run of play but we crashed out to Borussia M'Gladback in extra time,I'm a bit gutted as it could of gone either way but we received over £1 million for getting this far.

Three games in March and we will be facing Freiburg,Frankfurt and Schalke. Now that we have survived,I want us to pick up as many points as possible as I want to finish as high as possible due to the money we will potentially receive at the end of the season.I think we could pick up six points as that will keep us in the hunt for a European spot.

I am surprised it has been this easy to be honest as my team isn't that great yet.We do have a few difficult games coming up as we still have to face Hertha,Bayern and Borussia M'Gladbach so those games will probably decide our fate to what will happen for next season.

Manager's Thoughts

Despite picking up seven points from nine, the story of these matches were the fact that all three games were even so I am massively pleased with how many points we picked up.We are currently in sixth place which is a Europa League spot but with four points separating fourth and seventh place, there is still plenty to play for as we still have seven games to play this season.Diaby was the hero of the month for me as his performances in all three games was fantastic and he popped up with two goals which has helped us massively in our race for European football.

We play five times in April and we will be facing Hertha BSC,Hannover,Bayern Munich,Borussia M'Gladbach and Stuttgart. With us facing Hertha BSC,Bayern Munich and Borussia M'Gladbach, the results in these games will either make us or break us as these three games will play a pivotal role in what competitions we will be playing in next year,if we lose all three then we are in danger of missing out on European football as Hamburg are only eight points behind us.Ideally we need a minimum of six points as that should keep us in the top seven but getting European football from seventh will depend on who wins the Dfb-Pokal,three of the remaining four teams are in the top seven while the other is Hamburg so there is no guarantee yet.April will also bring us our next intake, the highlight from the preview was a left winger so I am very interested in seeing him as he is a home town boy.

Manager's Thoughts

This our last intake with 2.5* youth facilities with Adequate Junior Coaching and Average Youth Recruitment and it wasn't too bad of a intake as it has given us three players who could possible be backups for us at a Bundesligsa level so that is always a plus. The only downside to this is that all three actually play on the left side of midfield which is a tad annoying but nothing retraining can't solve.Hannes Legat I am perfectly fine with as he can play three roles so it's just the other two I need to sort out.

As of next season the intake will be affected by 3* facilities so we should see a slight improvement of youth talent coming through from next season.

Manager's Thoughts

We picked up nine points from fifteen which was great for us as we finished the month in fifth but we have played a game more than Dortmund but we are still in the race for fourth place somehow.I say somehow as we suffered two heavy defeats,Hertha Berlin game had things going wrong before we even kicked a ball as we had two injuries before the game including my first choice keeper,,the 6-1 defeat against Bayern is my heaviest defeat since I lost 7-2 to Toulouse in my first season in Ligue 1 with Stade Francais. The win against Borussia M'Gladbach was massive as that has made us favourite for a Europa League spot instead of a Europa Conference League spot.

We're into the final month and we have two games left to play.We will be facing Mainz and Fortuna Dusseldorf,we have to be favourites for the Europa League spot as Borussia M'Gladbach are facing Wolfsburg and Bayer Leverkusen and if they drop points then we will get at least 6th spot.Dortmund have an extra game to play which is against Mainz so they are more likely to get fourth or fifth place. My aim is to finish the season on a high and win both games.

Europa League here we come!!Four points in May was enough to see us finish in fifth place,we clinched a Europa League spot in the draw against Mainz as Borussia M'Gladbach lost to Wolfsburg on the same day.We gained fifth place as Dortmund lost two of their last three matches to Mainz and Hamburg.I did get a consolation prize as we came out the season being the top scorers as we stole that from under the noses of Bayern Munich,we beat Fortuna Dusseldorf 7-0 while Bayern could only beat Kaiserslautern 1-0!

End of Season update to follow then onto season four!

SC Preussen Münster - Bundesliga - End of Season - 2038/39

General - Vision - Facilities - Finances

Season Review

Transfers - Released - Youth

For released players,we had two in the entire team who left on a free. For permanent transfers,we sold Pets for a initial fee of £7.5 million with it possibly rising  to £10.75 million, this isn't a bad fee as he never kicked a ball for us in the first team and we got him on a free to begin with!We signed nine players for £3.6 million and I was happy with the business we conducted as all the players were in among the first team. It's great to see another year of profit and it was much bigger than last season as well to make it better.

Schedule 1 - Schedule 2

Competitions

Bundesliga - 5th

dzH0yNT.png?1

A great first season as we finished in fifth place as we massively overachieved. This is still encouraging for us as I feel we are still 3-5 seasons away from challenging for the title due to the trio of Bayern Munich,Bayer Leverkusen and Hertha Berlin being so strong. If we can carry on improving,we should be able to challenge and possibly get fourth next season.Great to see us finish as the top scorers in the league,I just need to train our defence better as that would help us move up.

Dfb-Pokal - Quarter Finals

9pc6hyM.png?1

We had a good run in the Dfb-Pokal as we reached the quarter finals by beating Turkgucu,Arminia Bielefeld and RB Leipzig. As for the match against Borussia M'Gladbach,we gave it as good as we had but in the end we fell just short,I think we should be able to challenge for the trophy in 2-3 seasons, maybe possibly earlier depending on luck of the draw.Schalke would go onto win the competition after knocking out Borussia M'Gladbach in the semi-finals.

Manager's Thoughts

This season was the Jan Dallmann show, the £775k signing showed his quality by winning all awards, topping the goal scoring and assist chart as well as being the best performing players at the club and he is well worth every penny of the £9k p.w we are spending on him.I am overall impressed with how we performed as it was beyond my expectations and gives a better idea of what I should be aiming for next season.Finances are now looking great as we were rewarded £67.17 million for finishing in fifth place which will be used to invest into the team so the future is definitely looking good as I am not leaving here till we are one of the biggest teams in Germany.

For next season I want us to avoid second season syndrome and continue fighting for a place in Europe. We do have the added pressure of another competition as we will be competing in the Europa League but I don't think we need to add much to the team.I've already arranged four signings for the new season as we are signing a Colombian keeper who is better than our first choice,Muller for the AMC role from Bayer Leverkusen and two Argentine u20 internationals who are both without a club. The only other positions I want to strengthen are the DM role and get another striker in as Segreto wants to move to a bigger club and I haven't been overly impressed with him so far.Time to see if we can build upon this season.

Club Improvements

Nice to see major improvements happening at the club.I am not surprised at the training and youth facilities as I was the one that requested them and when they are completed in November. The stadium news is a actually both a surprise and not a surprise,I was surprised at first when it came up in my inbox then after seeing the facilities tab,It wasn't really surprising. Our ground clearly isn't up to the standard needed for European football as we will be playing at two different grounds in the Europa League next season which are Vfl Osnabruck's and Bochums, both of which are grounds belonging to 2.Bundesliga sides.

SC Preussen Münster - Bundesliga - Pre-Season - 2039/40

General - Vision - Facilities - Finances

Season Preview - Expectations

Transfers - Released - Youth

First up we released twelve players who were released as they had no future. For out goings, two players joined other clubs on a free while another joined a club for £2,8k which is nothing but he wasn't going to make it here.Laskowski and Jesus were both sold for decent fees as they had fallen down the pecking order at the club and their development seemed to have a hit a wall as they neither improved or stagnated over the last year so I felt it was time they went,we got a some decent fees for them.On the incoming,we bought four players in on a free, three of these were found in the Argentina u20's while Muller came in on a free from Leverkusen. The two players we signed are brilliant,Bustos comes in as first choice keeper and still has room to improve while we blew pretty much all our budget on Nocera,I was looking at two DM's and he was the much cheaper option as that fee was a non-promotion release clause!

However, this could all change as we have accepted a bid from Barcelona from Ibrahim DIaby for £60 million (possibly rising to £72 million) which would change everything this season.

Pre-Season Fixtures

XEcAefc.png?1

I decided on a easier pre-season as this was pre-season was just for fitness reasons so we stayed in Europe playing smaller stature teams. We looked to be in good shape going into the new season and we have no major injury worries as there is only Segreto with a knock and he will be back within a week. The only thing we need to work on in the immediate future is the team cohesion and that will eventually happen during the season.

Manager's Thoughts

We've been productive during pre-season as we are pretty much ready for the new season. We're not fully ready yet due to the Diaby to Barcelona but if he does go then depending on how much we get,his first choice replacement will be Carabina from Gremio who has a release clause. The media have predicted us to come in mid-table which would be more than satisfactory as we do have Europa League to deal with as well so it will be interesting to see if we can juggle three competitions, the board only want us to be competitive in Europe but I think we could make the knockouts depending on the draw.We are a stronger team than last season so I am hopeful we can get a European spot.

The finances at the minute sit at £41 million which is a bit down on where we were at the end of last season but that is more down to me signing players and one of them was a rather large amount. This could change if Diaby does sign for Barcelona as that will give us £60 million immediately but it depends on whether he accepts the contract.During the pre-season we had our Junior Coaching and Youth Recruitment upgraded which now sit at Good and Adequate so that is a step in the right direction. We are now rated at 3.5* and we hardly moved up the rankings in Germany but this should improve if we have another successful season.Time to get this show on the road.

It's a double edged sword really, you don't want to lose him but then you can potentially improve other positions with the money you receive for him.We got £64 million for him,his replacement could cost £15,25 million if he accepts the contract and is just as good as Diaby. (Although I will say he is rubbish if he rejects us :D ).It will also allow us to look at other positions that I could sort out, ideally I would like a versatile full back who can play both DR and DL.

Although I wouldn't want to be in the position of having $143 million to spend as I'd be too tempted in spending every penny

Manager's Thoughts

Results wise it was an impressive start as we won all games although there was a bit of luck on the pitch as five points would have been satisfactory. The only league game we deserved to win was against Nurnberg as we were not the best team in the Wolfsburg and Borussia M'Gladbach games so I am over the moon with the start we've made even if it is undeserved. The Dfb-Pokal match against Rehden was a brilliant match to start the season with as we completely dominated the match,Noah Muller was the stand out performer with a hat-trick on his debut.

Five games in September, three in the league and two in the Europa League. In the league we are facing Bayern Munich,Hamburg and Freiburg,if we can pick up five or more points then that will be great,I am a bit relieved to be getting the Bayern game out of the way as they are a bit of an annoyance but it is a good opportunity to pick up points against them as we are at home.In the Europa League we are facing Anderlecht and Napoli,I feel like we could pick up four points here as I think we will be too strong for Anderlecht while the Napoli game will be a bit tricky but they are nowhere near the quality they used to be.

Manager's Thoughts

I'm pleased with how September went as we did better than I originally expected us to un both competitions. In the league we picked up six points from nine as we lost to Bayern Munich in a close game (at least it wasn't 6-1 this time!),this leaves us in second place in a very close grouping at the top of the table but it is still early days in the season. The Europa League went great as we won both games,I am over the moon with the result against Napoli as that leaves us in a great position to qualify from the group.

October is quite a busy month with six games to play, four are in the league, one in the Europa League and one in the Dfb-Pokal.In the league we are facing Frankfurt,Schalke,Union Berlin and RB Leipzig,if we can pick up at least seven points then that should keep us in a European spot, ideally I want more points as a Champions League spot should be our next aim.In the Europa League we are facing PAOK,they are the weakest team in the group so we should be able to beat them so I want a win from that game as that will put us in pole position going into the second half of the groups. In the Dfb-Pokal we are facing RB Leipzig in the second round, they are not doing too well in the league but we cannot afford to underestimate them,I want us to win this game as I want us to go on a run in the cup!

Manager's Thoughts

A below par month in the league as we picked up five points from twelve in the league which has left us in fourth place,we are currently five points behind Bayer Leverkusen but at least we are in currently in a Champions League spot.We shot ourselves in the foot in the games against Frankfurt and RB Leipzig as our finishing cost us the game while we were just shocking against Schalke,we need to do better. As for the cups,we won both games which is great as we are now three points clear in the Europa League while we are through into the last sixteen in the Dfb-Pokal,at least we had some very positive news when it came to results.

Five games in November, three in the league and two in the Europa League. In the league we are facing Sandhausen,Mainz and Hannover,I want seven points at minimum if we are to keep the fight up for the title as if we drop too many point then we will fall too far behind, five points should see us stay in the top four but we do have the ability to win all three games. In the Europa League we will be facing PAOK and Anderlecht,if we one game then we will be in Europe (EL or ECL) after Christmas while if we win both games we will be in Europa League after Christmas.

Manager's Thoughts

I should be happy with picking up six points in the league but I'm not and that is because we only have ourselves to blame for losing to Hannover as we dominated the game but once again this season, missed chances during the game comes back to haunt us as we ended up losing 1-0.We finished the month in fourth place and we are still five points behind the leaders Bayer Leverkusen so that isn't too bad.As for the Europa League,we won both games which means we finish at the top of the group with a game to spare so that is great for us as we now get a bye and go straight into the 2nd Knockout Round of the Europa League.

Four games in December, three in the league and one in the Europa League. In the league we are facing Hoffenheim,Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund, this is a very tricky month and any wins will be massive for us as we have to be careful of Hoffenheim and Dortmund who are under performing while Leverkusen are currently top of the league. In the Europa League we will be facing Napoli, this game means nothing to us as we have already qualified in first place from the group so this game means nothing to me.

Youth Intake Preview

jX0PUtZ.png?1

No matter where I was or where I am,I always seem to get a goalkeeper coming through my intakes pretty much every season and in this case we get two with the one to keep an eye on being from Romania! This seems to be a pretty decent intake as we have two goalkeeper prospects, one Central Midfielder and one winger so that is quite encouraging for us.I am looking forward to March when the new crop of players come through.

Title Race Blown Wide Open!

ENekhN1.png?1

This result is massive all around,we beat Leverkusen who were top at the time and we did it with ten men on the pitch which is amazing for us.This result has seen us close the gap to two points on Leverkusen who now sit in second place. Our victory has meant Bayern Munich have gone top and we are four points behind them!

Manager's Thoughts

What a month to finish off the year!We won all three league games which was quite surprising,we beat Leverkusen and ten men then we topped that by beating Dortmund 4-3 after we were 3-0 down!!!We are currently in fourth place but we are only two points behind Bayern Munich who are in first place so at the half way mark, the title is anyone of the top four's to win.We did also play in the Europa League and we made it a 100% record in the group stage as we beat Napoli 4-0 in what was a dead rubber to us anyway!

We kick off the new decade with five competitive games and a friendly. The friendly comes first and is against Magdeburg, this was arranged for match fitness reasons. In the league we are facing Hertha Berlin,Wolfsburg,Nurnberg and Borussia M'Gladbach,we need to try and match the results of the teams around us to stay in the title race, ideally I would like seven points as that should keep us firmly in the fight for the title as well as possibly help us move up the league table. In the Dfb-Pokal we are facing Frankfurt in the third round, this is a winnable game and if we do win here then we will match last seasons performance of getting to the quarter finals,I would like to win as the Dfb-Pokal is the more likely of trophies to win this season. As for transfers,I am looking around for a Goalkeeper and a Left back as two of my current players in those positions are whining about lack of game time so I will be looking to have them moved on while I bring in someone for backup.

Been enjoying this. Definitely got a good tactic going on with some player development through this career story. Looking good for 4th this season, and Champs Football next at this rate :)

Thanks :D

I think I can tinker too much at times with the tactics which puts me in some awkward positions but at least I have three confirmed tactics

We currently have a nine point lead over fifth with fourteen games to go so I will actually be disappointed if we don't get a top four spot!

The £64 milllion flop

5k58JJK.png?1

Things haven't gone too well for Ibrahim Diaby after leaving us last Summer.Moved to Barcelona for £64 million, made nine appearances in total (five league, one cup and three continental appearances) with a total average rating of 6.54.

He has moved to Liverpool on loan already, normally this could be a good move but Liverpool of 2040 isn't the Liverpool of 2022-2030 who ran riot with Man City.Liverpool of 2040 are currently in 12th with the same amount of points as Blackburn and Burnley.

Thanks for the money Barcelona!

Manager's Thoughts

First up we bought in two new players for a combined fee of £1.475 million, these players were a 2nd choice DL and a 3rd choice Gk,Beltran (who was 2nd choice GK) moved out on loan as he was whining about game time.On the pitch we picked up seven points from twelve which was a good return as we finished the month in second place but we are now five points behind Bayern Munich which is a bit annoying as they are the team I want to overthrow. We recorded an excellent 3-0 win over Frankfurt in the Dfb-Pokal,I did have to change formation for this game due to the players we had available so I went with a 4-3-2-1,lucky for me it worked out as we moved onto the quarter finals.

We play five times in February, four in the league and one in the Dfb-Pokal.In the league we are facing Bayern Munich,Hamburg,Freiburg and Frankfurt, the Bayern Munich game is a must win if we are to keep the title race close,if we lose then we will go eight points behind them and I don't see them dropping too many points in the remaining games.I am pretty confident we can get points in the other three games which should ensure we stay in the top four come the end of the month.I can't comment on the Dfb-Pokal game as the draw hasn't been made yet,if we avoid Leverkusen or Bayern Munich then I am confident we could get to the semi-final.

Dfb-Pokal draw

1oYadea.png?1

This is one of the nicest draws we could have got as they are the second lowest ranked team left in the competition (they are top of the 2.Bundesliga).We will still have to be careful and not underestimate them but this is as good as chance as any to reach the semi-final.

Manager's Thoughts

It was a pretty good month as we picked up nine points from twelve but we did lose to Bayern which was a bit disappointing but they were the better team,we had brilliant performances in the other three games but I am wondering how the Frankfurt match ended 10 v 10 when the referee kept disrupting the game with his whistle. We finished the month in third and we are three points behind Bayern Munich but they do have a game in hand on us which is against Nurnberg so the gap should go back to six points. We recorded a solid win in the Dfb-Pokal against Fortuna Dusseldorf but we did have a scare early on as they scored in the first minute, this match also had out biggest disaster happen as Miroslav Miljic (1st choice DL) broke his ankle and could be out for the rest of the season as his recovery is measured at 2-4 months.

We have six games in Match as we play four league games and two Europa League games. In the league we will be coming up against Schalke,Union Berlin,RB Leipzig and Sandhausen, the Schalke game is massive as it could decide where we come in the top four but I am confident in getting results from the other games as outside of RB Leipzig, neither of the teams should be causing us problems,my aim is to at least get seven points as that should keep us challenging for the top three spots. In the Europa League,we could hear the groans from Italy as we drew Napoli in the 2nd Knockout Round,we have already beat them home and away in the group stages so I want nothing less than a repeat of that.March will also bring us our next intake, the ones to look out for are two goalkeepers, central midfielder and a winger, can't wait to see what they are like.

Just caught up with this. Great going! what are the tactical setups you are using now?

Tactic 1 is the one I used at Stade Francais,the 4-2 (1DM,1MC) -3-1.

Tactic 2 is a 4-2-4 which I normally switch to if the opposition goes down to ten men or we have been the better side but failed to convert our chances.

Tactic 3 is a 4-3 (MR-MC-ML) -2 (2 AMC's both in the AM role)-1.This is usually my emergency tactic if I need to do something completely different due to things occurring outside of my control (suspensions, injuries etc),it was last used in the Dfb-Pokal match against Frankfurt in January.

Manager's Thoughts

It turns out the Central Midfielder in the youth intake preview who was a top prospect is indeed a top prospect, his mental stats are amazing for a sixteen year old and I do believe he could go all the way with having a driven personality,Daniel will need some training to make him more rounded as his best role is Central Midfielder which I don't play in any of my formations but I do have high hopes for him.

For the other two prospects, both will easily be able to be a backup player but it will take some time as I don't have the setup I want for coaching setup and training facilities I had at my previous club to help develop them like I want.As for the two goalkeepers,I picked Gunes over Sin as I think he has the better ability of the two but I think Sin should be higher up on the list as he looks to be better than the three players above him.

Not a bad intake in which we got three players who can appear for the first team at some point so this intake gets a A-.

Manager's Thoughts

Three wins from four in the league is a great return as we finished the month sitting in second place but I am really annoyed at our performance against Schalke as we pretty much bottled it as two goals in the last ten minutes led to our defeat, still we are only six point behind Bayern Munich but they do have a game in hand on us but I don't seem them slipping up too much in their last seven games so the title is out of our hands.Solid performance in the Europa League as we beat Napoli 3-0 on aggregate,we really should of won the first leg but VAR decided to screw us out if a win so Napoli can at least say they didn't lose all four against us.

April is a very busy month for us with seven games to play, four in the league, two in the Europa League and one in the Dfb-Pokal.In the league we are facing Mainz,Hannover,Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen,we could have a European spot guaranteed by the end of the month but we need to win every game ideally as we aren't out of the title race just yet but that does require Bayern to lose at some point,my aim for the league is to get at least six points. In the Europa League we are up against Schalke,I will be expecting a much better showing against them as we have been abysmal in both league games against them this season. As for the Dfb-Pokal,we have the easiest draw as we face 2.Bundesliga side Koln in the semi-final,the winners will go onto face Bayern Munich or Borussia Dortmund in the final, look like I dodged a bullet with that draw.

Manager's Thoughts

What a month that was!In the league we won every game as we guaranteed our participation in next season's Champions League and we also guaranteed a top three finish which means this is our highest placed finish to date,we are only two points behind Bayern but they do have a game in hand on us so it is out of our hands. The Europa League saw us finally not get beat by Schalke as we won 5-0 on aggregate, all the goals came in the second leg to make it sweeter as we were at home, the semi-final saw us draw 2-2 away from home which gives us the away goal advantage which is a plus for us.The Dfb-Pokal game against Koln was our worst performance of the month as we scraped a 1-0 win to send us to the final but I was less than impressed with how we played.

We're into the final month of the season and we still have a bit to play for with a minimum of four games to be played. In the league we finish off our campaign with games against Borussia Dortmund and Hertha Berlin,I would like to win the games to finish the season off on a high,I'm not expecting to win the title as Bayern have a easier run in which includes playing Sandhausen. In the Europa League we are playing Real Sociedad in the 2nd leg of the semi-final,we should be favourites for this match as we have the away goal advantage as well as home advantage so I would love us to win this game to progress to the final.May also brings us my first cup final in Germany,in the Dfb-Pokal final we willk be facing Bayern Munich,it just had to be them didn't it,although this would be the perfect time to finally claim a win over them!
