How's that for a cup run? 4-1 against a Serie C team, a comeback from 2-0 down to knock off a Serie B team, and then a 4-3 win over a Serie A team (admittedly a bad one, but still) to progress to the 4th Qualifying Round against either Crotone (Serie A) or Brescia (Serie B) :D

Seeing off the (relegation zone) Serie B team with ease, which is probably a good indication of how our season has gone so far...

Padova and Foggia are flying, but we're right in the thick of it.

It's been a great season, but this isn't much of a honeymoon, because...

  • We've had a squad comprised of 32 loanees, and 6 of our own players this year.
  • We have a grand total of one senior player under contract for next year. One!
  • In 38 games, our own players played a total of 952 minutes. That averages out at 25 minutes on the pitch per game.
  • If you take away CB Giuseppe Loiacano from those minutes (who is the only player under contract next year, but probably isn't good enough to be), our senior players had 153 minutes of football - or just over 4 minutes per game.
  • Serie B is very hard. A lot harder than Serie C. And we basically don't have a squad for it.

I would have much preferred to build our squad... well, with some actual players in it. Hopefully we'll be able to find some talented players who want to join us permanently, but with an average attendance of 681 people (third bottom in the league) we're not exactly rolling around in cash, and we weren't able to attract many talented players last year so... we'll see. It'll be an interesting season ahead, that's for sure

We've got 6 players at the end of year team meeting, only one of whom is signed under contract for longer than the next two weeks. I could tell them all that I've had their wives and it wouldn't make a shred of difference

More loans, but this time there's a few from abroad, rather than just Italy. We've also bought in a couple of players (Gori is a backup keeper, but here are the other two...)

The best Sammarinese player there is, we could probably do better on the wing but we'll make sure to give him plenty of gametime.

Shane Long is here on a one year deal, too  I couldn't turn down those mentals!

San Marino Intake Day!

A much better intake - but annoyingly, the Sammarinese ones are the far weaker players

Probably already good enough to get games for the National Team, he looks a very tidy striker. Excited :D

This lad's got the makings of a  very talented winger.
