[FMC 15] - My English Adventure

This game starts in the year 2072 and is a spin off from my Stopsley Utd save.
I want to do a career where I move clubs, I have played 16, 17 & 18 but can't
get far into the games before I make a return to 15, can't really explain why that is
just like 15 more than the others, not saying it is better or perfect but I just love it.

My manager for this game will be JONNY ENGLISH.

No not this guy.

This guy > qEaSsz.jpg

English will start at.........

Blackburn Rovers are in the Vanarama Conference North.
They have been League One and lower since 2024/2025.

Ewood Park has been cut to a 14,924 capacity.

So far so good but it could have been much much better, we led against Guiseley and Nuneaton
but were denied by late goals, we were 2-0 up against Kidderminster and again we were denied by
a late goal, against Hyde we gave up a 2-0 lead and in the defeat against Oldham we led before
a 88th minute own goal saw us slip to our first defeat of the season.

Good luck, should be a lot of fun!

Thanks, yeah hopefully, It will be interesting to see what clubs I get to manage, might set a limit as to maximum time I can spend at one club, it will also be interesting to see how Stopsley Utd do without me after 58 years.

Results - October & November 2072

BTkRn5.jpg

October was mostly superb apart from the poor result away to Hednesford.
Obviously the standout result being our thrashing of leaders Stalybridge.
November wasn't too bad either, we were thumped in the FA Cup and lost
a tight game to promotion rivals Worcester but did get some revenge in the cup.

Results - December 2072 & January 2073

kJxCUh.jpg

December was a mixed bag of results, dumped out of the cup and two
pathetic defeats in the league, at least we got revenge for the cup loss.
January was much better as we won four out of our five games. The loss
to promotion rivals Leamington was disappointing and are five points clear.

No awards for us, Collins (on loan from Stopsley) is the closest we got.

Results - February, March & April 2073

iyBpil.jpg

We won three and drew one in February including a 2-1 win over leaders Stalybridge,
that completed the double over our big rivals but we had to settle for second.
We suffered two heavy defeats in March and that pretty much ended our hopes
of catching Stalybridge, defeat to MK Dons meant we had to settle for a play-off spot.

Conference North Play-Off Semi-Finals!

BWCtv1.jpg

It was a nightmare start and it was looking like we would have our work
cut out in the second leg when we went 2-0 down on 62 minutes.
Archer pulled a goal back just 4 minutes later and I would have settled
for that, but Collins levelled on 80 minutes and Rawlins gave us the lead
just five minutes later, so we go to the second leg with a 3-2 lead.

wvSxCg.jpg

It was a nervy game, well for me anyway, nothing much happening
but to be honest I would be happy with that, I was even happier
when top scorer Curtis Murray settled my nerves by put us two ahead.

That goal was enough to settle the tie and send us through to the final.

Aggregate: Blackburn Rovers 4 Worcester City 2

We face Stamford in the final, They beat Leamington 3-1 on Aggregate.

Murray Double Secures Rovers Promotion!

Two early goals from star striker Curtis Murray sent us up to the Conference Premier.
We should have added to those goals and it would have been great to see Murray get
a hat-trick, it was a solid display and never really in any doubt after the opening ten minutes.

Jonny English "This is a great day for the club, the lads deserve this and so do the fans"

Good job on the league win. Good luck for next season. I am glad to see Stalybridge Celtic doing well. I live near there.

Thanks, ok yeah we have come out on top in the head to heads so far and we play them again, already played them once this season, I am 30 league games into my second season so have got some updating to do but a bit of a spoiler, it is not looking good for Stalybridge at the moment.

I will follow, I like Blackburn

That's good, When I started I didn't really have a time frame for how long I would be at Blackburn, well only started with a one year contract anyway, don't want to jump around too quickly but also don't want to stay at clubs for too long. anyway more news on my Blackburn spell to come soon.

Blackburn have dropped a lot in just under 60 years.

Yeah them and Bolton also spent a fair bit of time in the Conference North in this save, Bolton have managed to climb up a bit and are currently in League Two, though they did actually drop to Regional Premier Divs in 2053/54.

Premier League Table - Stopsley Utd were runners-up.

It's quite funny to look at that table and Conference North table, I'm sure a lot
of people would be happy to see AFC Wimbledon in the Premier League while
MK Dons (Francise FC) only just avoided relegation from the Conference North.

Rovers Sit Mid-Table After 16 Games!

A mixed bag of results so far in the Conference Premier and that suits us fine.
We are expected to finish 21st and be relegated so will be happy to finish where
we currently sit or even a bit lower, just don't want to be dragged into the battle.

Rovers 12th After 35 Games!

We have continued with a mixed bag of results, that was to be expected after the
promotion anyway, happy to be in 12th and looking safe from the relegation battle.
Stalybridge Celtic who finished above us last season are not looking so good.

Rovers Finish 14th in Conference North!

We lost out in the cup 5-4 to Northampton on aggregate and suffered some very
poor league results, slipping to 14th was a let down in the end but overall it was
a good season, we were never in danger of being relegated or even involved in the
battle at the bottom so we have to be happy, will be looking to build next season.

Decent season of consolidation.

Thanks.

Yeah was happy enough with that, will be happy to do the same again, young striker Curtis Murray has been great for me, so it's key we keep hold of him.

Anyway the new season isn't going how I expected, more news soon.

Season's Expectations

EPbwRO.jpg

Transfers - Three Players In.

lJXotn.jpg

We were able to complete the signing of Raggett from Stopsley Utd after he had spent the
previous two seasons on loan with us, Calgan will add strength to our defence (even though
he was sent off on debut
), Orrett will offer us extra option on the right.

Key Players.

Rampant Rovers Top The Table!

Well what can I say apart from WOW, I wasn't expecting this, another season of consoliadtion
would have been fine, even just being in touching distance of play-off places would have been
great, some of the wins were tight with some late winners but we deserved them anyway.
It's just typical though, we go nineteen games unbeaten then suffer two defeats on the bounce.

HAVE THE WHEELS COME OFF? WILL WE NOW SLIP?

In A Terrible Slump But Rovers Still Top Table!

We bounced back very well from those two defeats and went on a winning run.
However the wheels have come off as we are now in a terrible slump, this is
turning into a nightmare, we have blown a massive lead and it will be quite a setback
if we only make play-offs and maybe lose out on promotion after our amazing early form.

Jonny English "It has been terrible but we still lead, if the players buck up we can do this."

Nq7H65.jpg

APLEOz.jpg   Eight Clubs Have Made Jonny English Offers!

Northampton, Hednesford, Newport Co, Braintree, Bury,
Accrington, Ebbsfleet & Barnet have all been after the manager.

All offers were rejected but English has applied for a couple of jobs.
Leeds (Championship) & Luton (League 1), will they be interested?

APLEOz.jpg   Luton Town Make English Offer!

ztCmxw.jpg

Luton are currently 18th in League 1, it would be a good step up divisions.
That depends on keeping them up though, it is possible that Luton and Blackburn
could both be in League Two next season.

Well that all went tits up, just terrible after doing so well and opening up
a big lead we were chased down and lost out on goal difference in the end.
If that was gutting enough we then lose the play-off final in extra-time.
:(

English declined Blackburn's offer and applied for jobs at AFC Wimbledon & Liverpool.
Both of them clubs are in the Championship after they were both relegated.

Those clubs chose different options but AFC Wimbledon's appointment of Mark Green
opened up another interesting vacancy option, Green had guided Burton to promotion
to the Championship from League One by finishing as runners-Up.

Jonny English applied for the Burton job.......

Early days with Burton but at the moment we are losing at home and winning away.

Tamworth, yeah we slipped up after the draw against them but in that 3-3 draw we led 3-1. :(

good result for Burton, though the stats would have suggested that you'd "FM'ed" it

Yeah and not for the first time in FMC15, had loads of matches where we have been battered and managed to scrape draws and quite often even better.

This game even though the stats are nowhere near that Burton win.

This was the winning goal though, we had nobody really close to scoring so the OG was brilliant.
