Well I've begun work on the Summer update so end of next month probably. Still got a fair bit of work to do on it, although I've finally removed the outdated injuries and sorted retirements. Just got to make the future transfers happen, remove the loans and sort promotions/relegations, along with any transfer that happen in that time.

Is there any chance of an end of may one? With just all the loans off and promotion/relegations and released players. Just to give us a taster. And so people can do qpr games in the prem and that. On that note will you be changing the finances?

It's a possibility depending on the time I have. Still need to wait on news for the lower leagues though as Rushden could be going out of business, and there's going to be shuffle around for the Blue Square leagues too which may not come to light until June.

Yes he is :) As for the update, injuries and retirements are done as well as a lot of transfers. I have done the league positions and promotions/relegations for Northern Ireland and Australia as they are the only ones to have completely finished their seasons I think. I will look at getting a beta out for the 2nd week of June, although that is dependant on how long it takes to do all the promotions/relegations, loan removals and future transfer removals. It's coming along quite nicely though, around 20k changes so far. It's going to be good when it comes to September when everything is totally finished :)

Good job Metal!

However I just wanted to add some US eligibility information to your update.

Juan Agudelo - NY Red Bulls - is Columbian in the game but has been capped and declared for the US National Team in January

Teal Burbury - Sporting Kansas City - is Canadian in the game but has been capped and declared for the US National Team in January

Timothy Chandler - Nurnberg - is German in the game but has been capped and declared for the US National Team in March/April

I'm not sure if this something that you guys edit but it was starting to bother me that none of these guys were Americans in the 11.3 update.

Thanks.

Thanks Metal!

Also Andy Najar - DC United - was born in Honduras and was raised in the US, and in the game every time he seems to declare for the US Youth teams. However he just recently declared for Honduras since he's years away from gaining US citizenship and although I hate to lose him he should probably be declared to Honduras for the sake of authenticity.

http://www.dcunited.com/press-release/2011/04/andy-najars-honduras-statement

If I can think of anymore of these US eligibilities I'll post them for your next update. Thanks again Metal.

I'm not sure off the top of my head. I'm at work at the moment but I'll have a play around with it when I get home and see what I can find. I know Germany(?) is losing a European spot and it's going to the Italians, so that could be the problem, but I can't remember if that comes in next season or the season after.

I think you've got that the wrong way round. As far as I know Germany is moving above Italy into third on the rankings. I thought that was happening this year, but it might be next year.

Not yet. I think I'm going to leave it and come back to it when I get round to doing the promotions/relegations. I'm waiting for the major seasons to finish first and some don't finish til next week and some still have play-offs etc to play. I'm sure there will be a way around it somehow.

It definitely seems something to do with how many slots are available for italy as ive just removed napoli and udinese showed up this time

its strange though as italy should have 4 slots like they do if your just using the default 11.3 database as theres roma sampdoria inter and ac

changing the teams around might have messed with the hard-coding somewhat. Try posting a separate thread in the Editors Hideaway, I'm interested to know if someone does have a 100% explanation for it.

Someone as started a thread already if you look just few down from this, im thinking its a bug or some coding issue

Problem is in trying to replicate the 'blank cheque' that City have is to get the balance right between keeping it 'real' and being excessive. £120m should be enough, you could get 4/5 world class players in potentially for that, the board should give you more money if you ask for it and with City's squad being as large as it is, you'd need to sell players to comply with the 25-man squad rule anyway which would bring you some cash. Some of those players won't go cheap either. I'm still yet to get to the testing stage so I'll see how it maps out then and make adjustments as needed.

Yeh the trouble with Man City is people are on ridonculous wages so its imposible to sell them. MG i know it will be early and your waiting for foreign leages but when the english season is over after monday would a release be possible for a bit of a taster so we can start some new english games with maybe some updated finances. If you want to wait thats cool but im sure whatever you done already would be the best about.

Not sure if it'll be Monday but I can get an English beta out by the end of week, real life events permitting. All I have to do is do the promotions so I can boot up the English leagues in the game where I'll remove loans and sort any future transfers. Might be able to have it out Tuesday.
