Only way I can see is by editing an item of the club, export the changes to XML and then check all the club IDs in the XML. Don't know any other way to export IDs without copy pasting them....

What about Austria-Hungary for that matter? Because that one has an even more complicated setup. Edit: Looking at the list of nations this one could be a lot harder as there are various nations we can't account for.

We were only thinking at the national level untill now. As you say, research would be a nightmare, several nations would only have localized competitions or city competitions and not have an official championship even (see Russia for instance). Would still be a quicker edit though since no need for all kind of difficult international competitions. Most of the nations didn't exist yet and don't get started about international competitions Maybe, maybe for a next project in 2024

I think we discussed 1930 as that would be the first world championship year. In terms of challenge, it is about the same.

I am working on a bunch of files that would allow you to easily check on newgen names. All players have been deleted, so no names are used from the database as the game normally does. All languages are set to Dutch (I am Dutch) for easier recognition of names coming up and there are coming a few more files where nations have their regions removed/changed and continent changed. Curious to see what it does. Currently some files are test right now.

And how does your first knockout work? Setting seed 0 for position in group from 0 to 0 (where notififies the first position) can work, same for position 2 and 3 in the group.

This is for FM22. Can't say anything about a release date yet as we have still Yugoslavia to do, East Germany, Soviet Union to finish and a boatload of data changes. FM23 no idea at this moment. That fully depends on what is going to be released.

Depends on how your rounds work, but say you have groups, you can seeding based on position in their respective group.

It could work, but could also provide a very unbalanced world. Newgens at big clubs are not necessarily created playing at similar levels as the players you just removed.

Check the ErikEagles [FM22] Pre Season Tournament`s thread in the download section. He has done a bunch of them. If you can't find what you want, at least you will have some examples to look at for your own version.

Might have been old data. The older an error is, less chance that it will ever be changed.

But from now on, there are no more Slovak players in the database. They all have been Czeched On to Yugoslavia where, to my surprise already is a person with the Yugoslav nationality in the database. Bit of an odd one

I am not sure the official FM forum is the place for that. You are trying to break into files that have been made specifically for FM afterall. I applaud you if you have the skills to create such tooling, but we can't help you.

Is it worth the time to look into Jus sanguinis and Jus soli?

I am working on the Iron Curtain mod for FM22 which is a 1988 re-imagination. The 1988 sub rules can't be done as the game has no 2 from 5 sub rules. If the 2 from <number> rules could be added, that would be awesome for me obviously, but it wouldn't work for others. So can a custom substitution rule added where you can add Number of players subbed on Number of possible subs Max allowable subs (similar to the max 5 subs from 3 sub moments) Moment of sub, 1st half, 2nd half, extra time Amount of foreign/EU/etc players subbed in Setting specifics around which players are foreign (for instance based on regions or nations) is another request if I am correct. I know it's niche, but please consider it

In 2020 I started the Iron Curtain 2020 version. It was a moderate success because although it was finished it was also released a year later than planned. So this time I planned ahead and made sure I am not doing this alone. Yes, there is an Iron Curtain team!
